Really like your analysis. From the get go Liverpool's unified pressure made Barca so uncomfortable. And even Busquets was making mistakes, and let me tell you he doesn't make mistakes. Messi also missed two chances, but I think was due to the quick pressure, he took quick uncomfortable shots. Cheers.

The fact that Pique is 20cm taller than Wijnaldum, stronger, (at least according to FIFA19) has a similar vertical leap and in a slightly better position than his opponent and still lost that aerial duel is both funny and satisfying along with being amazing of course.
Lenglet was the one who lost the man but blame it on Pique duh
@@rijosam5278 I looked at the goal again, Lenglet was marking Origi and couldn't possibly have cleared the cross without fouling Gini, while yes Pique wasn't as well positioned as I thought, but it was more of case of him either forgetting Gini or underestimating his jumping. Either way, his mistake.
@@svesnimajmun2731Lol Pique's role always has been zonal marking during set pieces. That was Lenglet's cross to be won. He was supposed to mark Wijnaldum and he was in a better position to clear the ball.
Just saying but wijnaldum is pretty sttong. He has a brilliant ability just to hold on to the ball despite the pressure he might face. He holds off players like they're nothing.
Actually, Wijnaldum is a way stronger than Pique. He is a monster.

I may sound like stupid but you know what happened, Rakitic happened. His mediocrity cost Barcelona TBH. The first picture you showed with MAtS on the ball, Rak was the one who got the ball and could have got out of the press by opening his body to the left and giving it to Busquets but he didn't. Pressing Busquets with one man is useless, he would have got out of it. I counted 5 such situations in first half and Rakitic did the right thing only once. You showed Alba losing the ball through pressing for the second goal. Just before that Rakitic had the ball didn't even check his surrounding and put Alba in a bad spot. Had he opened his body to the right, it was a great counter opportunity for Barcelona.
Rakitic should have gone around 2017. Absolutely a dead weight on the field. His inability in the midfield since the 2015 final has cost championships from Barcelona.

You should analyse Thomas muller (at least in his prime), I just came from watching your analysis of griezmann and I think you’d enjoy watching someone who works the same way, reads space very well, fantastic movement and can work hard for the team

the biggest problem with barca right now is that no one presses. even when they do press, they dont do it efficiently. i think it partly comes down to the players and partly to the tactics of valverde

i like blaming managers but in this case the fault is only on the players. Valverde did his job, Barca should have scored at least 2 goals.
there was even a moment around the 15th min that Messi had the ball in the box with 3 other Barca players vs 1 defender and he lost it to the defender. If you have a tactic that brings your players to 5 1v1s during a game and they dont score, that's on the players
Valverde takes the blame as much as the players. Why didn't he set up the pressing structure like he did vs Tottenham? Why did he played the same line up? And that Messi chance you're talking about it was offside. Busquets put Alba one on one where he was in a better position than Messi but cut it back and gave it to Messi who was in the least favourable position of the three; Alba Suarez and Messi himself. Anyways it was offside so no effect.
