Of course, we Europeans, especially us Irish, enjoy free travel within Europe. It is no different to people in the US being able to travel freely between states.
@ Not only the EU countries, but also all European countries have military. The population of Europe is 742 million and the population in the USA is 334 million. I’m not sure why you think the US military is stronger than the militaries of Europe?
Two huge points missing in this video. When I go to the USA I get my ESTA number. It is valid for two years. 1. How long are the European things valid for? 2. Do you get them from a website? What about telling us where you get these from?
Also, the ESTA costs 25.00$ AND you still have to wait for hours to get through customs, be fingerprinted and have your picture taken, oh and don‘t forget intrusive questioning!!!
Hi, okay so the European ETIAS are valid for three years, or until or passport expires - depends whichever comes first. And to answer the second question, you can get it online, when applying to travel. Once you have finished applying you should get reply within minutes, it could take longer but not more than 24hrs 😊. Happy Travels!
Living in the U.K. 24 years as a current and valid Republic of Ireland Passport holder, with extended family still living in Ireland near Dublin, travelling home to Ireland via train and ferry from Holyhead to Dublin, how will this affect me?
How does that make travel safer? This is just Europe's pay back tho Canada and the US since those require ETA and ESTA long time and do not want to eliminate it for EU.
I have both a US and German passport. My presumption is that when I travel to Europe under my German passport I will not need to do the ETIAS thing, correct?
I am a US citizen with a US passport. However, I have lived in Poland for nearly 12 years on a temporary residency card from Poland, which I renew every 3 years. Will I still need an ETIAS for when I return to Europe from my visits to the US? Or is my Polish residency card sufficient?
@@Nomadia_1 Ok, thank you! I guess it is better to have one and not need it than to not have one and need it. I am planning my yearly trip to the States for this spring. I just checked the ETIAS website and it says it will go in effect in 6 months. So I will check it again before returning to Poland from the US. Thanks again for the information!
As a citizen of the world, I am affected, unfortunately, but this isn’t going to stop me from travelling; there is too much to see! 😁Thanks for your support.
1:33 ... the EU only has 27 states not 30. So perhaps you added Switzerland and/ or Norway and / or ..? - Oh, at 2:19 there were only 29 left!? That was much much quicker than BREXIT!😉 And btw, theETIAS system was very much supported and co-sponsored while the UK was still part of the EU 🤣
@@Nomadia_1 Well, perhaps then it would be better to say "the EU plus Norway & Switzerland" , so not to confuse our American friends? And who is No. 30 then?

😂 I know what you mean
Does it in any way affect those who travel by rubber dingy?
hahaha 😂 What a jolly good idea!
Don't be silly, of course not. This is to control YOU
Nooo they free in the seas 🌊
That I so funny, even though we know it isn't....
Yeah, until a hacker gets in and messes up with the security...
Let’s hope nothing like that ever happens
The most condecending propaganda I have seen online by controling governments
The ETIAS (Europe) is the same as the ESTA (USA)! The Americans have their ESTA since 2008.
Usa is very active military nation. So its understandable they are very paranoid with everyone
But european union comon 😂

Big brother, unless you want to rock. Up in a little boat
Australia and Singapore already have this in place. Once you get your ETA, entry and exit is smooth as silk.
This system makes it easier I feel
Better for the environment? 🤦♀️ How?
No more paper I think..

Still no answer to point 2.
Online
Does that apply to "ilegal" imigrantes in the UK? I guess not. Smooth journey? Right! Not about control and money, no way.

exactly haha

What the EU is doing is the same as what the US introduced many years ago, called ESTA, and that was introduced under the guise of 'security,'.

@Nomadia_1 Therefore you Guys regained Freedom, just need to learn to elect other Prime Ministers 😁
Freedom? What freedom did they get that the UK did not have before? I´d rather call it isolation. BREXIT is a major cockup.
USA was first with this. The ESTA costs more, has been in effect for long and works allright.
