A wonderful timepiece, and it's pretty neat that yours has the English/Japanese Kanji day-of-week wheel. I've been going bananas trying to find a Japan-made SNXS79 or SNXS77 with the English/Kanji day wheel, but all of the ones I've seen with "Made in Japan" on the dial are English/Arabic. The JDM versions may have a different model number than the export versions. I know yours, the so-called "Dress KX," has a different model number for the JDM version. The JDM version is the SBSA045, while the export version is SRPE045J1. VERRRY confusing.
Hi Greg. You're right, Seiko nomenclature and names sometimes get confusing. And on top of that, there is a plethora of popular names, names that the watch community has given to so many popular pieces. I was also trying to find the SNXS77/79 and I could not find one with the japanese day disk. Not even from SakuraWatches, or Seiyajapan. The closest I found are these: www.sakurawatches.com/seiko-5-sports-sbsa047 www.sakurawatches.com/seiko-presage-sary057
Hi Fowsi TV, I bought it from SakuraWatches. Here you can find the link: www.sakurawatches.com/seiko-5-sports-sbsa045 It's a company in Japan. You can also check Seiyajapan here: www.seiyajapan.com/products/seiko-5-sports-automatic-sbsa045-made-in-japan
Friend, look at minute 3:27 and find the caliber. It's a 4R36. And, it's not even a diver, it is the Seiko 5 DressKX (Japanese Domestic Model) SBSA045.
@@watchesgoon Sir. @ 6.05 of your video you state the following watches use the same 4r36 Calibre. You the show a graphic of the Seiko SPB143 1965 reinterpretation diving watch. This watch utilises the Calibre 6R35. Sorry, just the facts.
@@trebarwith438 Yes Sr, I have to give u that one. At the end of the video I included the prospex diver in the group of those being powered by 4r36, when truly the prospex diver holds a 6r35. I'll explain that in the description, so some other watchers can have the clarification, along with this comments of course. I did my homework for the dresskx, but I have to admit that I missed on the prospex diver. Thanks lol!
