Fro without Fro?! But does he still know photo?
👏🏼
It is a parallel universe moment..next it'll be pigtails, then nose rings & ladies clothing
😂😂😂😂😂 good one
it's fro's distance cousin, orf
bruh
At that level of fro, he only knows. Not enough fro to know photos. :)
I'd love to see that Tamron 35-150 f/2.8 come to the RF mount when they open it up to full-frame third parties!
This is thee lens I want for Nikon Z Mount. Currently saving up for it!
It would be great if it had I S
@@akeemsemple21 that doesn't bother me. For stills, it's not a real issue. The RF 28-70 doesn't have IS and I've never had a problem with focus or freezing action.
Well it took canon more then 2 years to give the rights for asp-c rf third party glass. So wouldnt hold my breath that it's coming anytime soon. So in my opinion one should get their 70-200 2.8 rf and the rest with ef instead.
Idk if it's just cause Jared went sleeveless this time, but he is looking extra ripped. Must be from carrying the 4x5
If I won the Fro lottery I'd go for the Nikon Z6III + 135 1.8 Plena 🤗
Excellent Choice!
Cheers to the winner. Not envious at all.
Personally I would go for the Z8 and 24-120 kit. Would def be a killer mirrorless setup.
So rumor that there will be a R6 MK3 over R7 MK2? I wonder why, I would LOVE to see what they plan on with the R7 MK2.
I was told photographers want full frame over crop sensors they would rather have either the R5II R6III over the R7II as that makes more money, I was going the R1 but I shoot the R7 for military jets the R7 needs the MK2 over the R6III any day!
I'd get a
1. Sony A7 IV
2. Sigma 24-70 2.8
3. Sony 50mm 1.8
4. DJI RSC 2
5. Prograde CF Express 256gb
6. SIGMA 150-600MM F/5-6.3
Canon Rumors IS THE MOST RELIABLE SOURCE FOR UNRELIABLE RUMORS AND INFORMATION. I remember when they said 3 years ago that the Canon R1 would be announced in Q3 of 2022 and ship in Q4 of 2022. And that guy from "Ordinary Filmmaker" he's very entertaining and I do like to watch his videos and will continue, but of course, he spreads the same bad information that he gets from Canon Rumors. And yeah, that French or Italian dude. Same thing. I'll be so glad when these cameras actually hit the market so we can totally focus on something different.
It's amazing that the influencers still have people waiting on the R1 HYPE!
I waited for the r7 almost a year and watched his Videos. I get an rp while waiting 😅 most time the Info ist quite ok but the dates are absolute wrong 😂
@cyberqid Yep, 😂🤣😅I'm one of those people's still waiting for more rumors and more hype. I'm just waiting 🤔🤨🤫🤔
CR by the record is not as bad as SAR..
OF is a piece of crap imho
It would be smart for Canon to combine the r3 & r6 line into matching systems like the Nikon z9 & z8. Looks like the R5II will nullify the need for both the R5 & R5c. R1 will probably have a 30mp bsi with all the necessary pro outputs and build. Later we will see the APSC bodies get revamped. I think Canon will solidify their full frame offerings in one sweep.
What would I spend Jared’s money on? That’s easy. Let me quote Jared.
Glass. Glass. Glass. Glass. Glass. Glass. Glass.
Fro using Soul Glow for this video 😂
I would like to see the Nikon 28-3000, as used on the p1000 in full frame for Canon. Oh and a large umbrella to cope with flying pigs.
28-3000 isn’t enough zoom for me. I need 28-30000. And at 0.5f
@@PMTcommenter be sensible, at 30,000mm you wouldn't see a bird in a tree due to the curvature of the earth and camera shake, not to mention atmospheric conditions would be off the scale. Maybe at f11 you could get a landscape.
@@blisteringbooks2428that’s a you problem. Git gud. I could do it.
Canon R3 for sure! I’m getting more into sports photography and the autofocus is much needed!
We need a proper, balanced and professional APSC aka R7mk2.
The R7 is good, but the AF issues due to slow sensor readout speed is unforgivable.
You know it's bad when even Canon's solution is "don't use the features we put in to fix the problem" (go see Canon response on Duade Paton R7 issues video)
R10 is a way better value and balanced product. RIP R7
A 50-200mm 2.8 would be awesome honestly.
I'd get
- Nikon Z6 III
- Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 Lens
- Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens
@@engineer4862 That leaves you around $900. I finish list for you - MB-N14 grip, 26 2.8, spare battery 🙂
I’d purchase a 70-200 f2.8 and or a RF 10-20. Those are the two lenses that I need.
70-200 is great got one
I'd spend it on an R1 thank you.
If I got $5k, I would without question invest in the 70-200 2.8 RF and the 100-500 RF and pay the difference. Those lenses are so fast focusing, it’s unbelievable. As much as I’d want the 24-105 2.8 or the 28-70 f2, I love shooting telephoto, and my 24-70 2.8 version 1 STILL holds up!
If I had won the contest, I would have asked for the Nikon Zf with the 24-120 F/4 lens.
If I won I'd finally break free from the m4/3 system and pivot to FF by getting some glass to pair with the sony a9 ii I've been planning on buying so I could get into sports photography properly. I'd grab the Sony 70-200 2.8 for sure, seems like the go-to for starting out
Congrats for the guy!
Well If I was given a chance to buy camera gears worth 4,999 I'd pick the nikon zf to be my very first "real" camera together with the new upcoming 35 1.4 z plus the 85 1.8 and 24-120 f4.
Too bad I cant afford to buy a camera right now (aside from my phone).
Get some light stands with some flashes or strobes, new camera body full frame, and surely a versatile lense, like a 24-70mm
I’d get the Nikon 14-24 2.8S, as well as the 105mm macro and the rest on Nanlite panels and tubes.
Why does Jared look like a second hand basketball player in this video 😂
Aye but love your videos man !
I'd like the r6mk ii and the 24 - 70 rf.
I'd wait to buy the Canon R5 ii when it finally comes out.
Nikon Z6III or Z8 with Nikon 180-600 would be a dream, could finally upgrade from my D7500
Steven missed a chance to use “Ice Cold” from OutKast.😂
Stephen doesn’t edit these!!!
@@danielhyrowich Dan does?
@@zenzotazawa1764 That’s me, and we usually save OutKast for the “shake it like a Polaroid “
@@danielhyrowich Haha! That’s awesome! Yep…the “shake it like a Polaroid” is definitely a good one. Keep up the great editing!
CANON R6 MK III w/ the EOS R megapixels would be stellar. :)
Is it a Sony a1 or a 9iii competitor?
I will be the first one to buy it
Rumoured to be 24MP
@@dannydiazphoto What is the obsession with 24 MP 😅
If I won the contest? Nikon Z8 with the 135mm Plena. I'll pay the difference. 🤤
For me ... a R7 & 100-300mm+18-105mm + 90D & 18-300mm+24-105mm or at least R5 Mark II body...
I’d pre order the R5ii and a 15-34 2.8
dan was in bethlehem pa... its great here!
Nice catch!
Just visited allens for the first time a few days ago when i was home on leave drove 3 hours 1 way to get there i was extremely surprised by how many people they had working. Traded in a camera and some gear i dont use to get the RF100mm. Well worth the road trip everyone i talled to was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I'll definitely visit again when im back in town.
Not interested in an R6III... nor an R5II with Eye Control (been there, done that)... and would never spend what an R1 will cost.
In fact, the R7 is older than the R6II by about 6 months and in my opinion needs to be improved first:
- The weird dial around the joystick was an interesting experiment, but really needs to go. R7II controls need to be more similar to R5 (or R5II).
- It needs better, more reliable AF.
- it needs faster sensor readout to avoid rolling shutter effects.
- It needs to accommodate an accessory battery grip (ideally the same one used by the full frame cameras... and don't say it can't because the footprint of the R7 is almost identical to that of the R5, R6 and R6II, all of which share the BG-R1O grip.)
- Opening up the RF mount to auto focusing APS-C lenses from other manufacturers was overdue by about two years... Sigma's are a good start and hopefully more will come available soon from others.
It's time to get SERIOUS about APS-C format again, Canon! ☹️
Ugh, would love a retro Canon Fixed Focal Length camera! My R5 is still kicking, if the prices go down with the announcement of the R5ii i'll pick up another r5.
01:18 it’s Tampon not Tamron
I have a Canon 90D, I’d love to bet 2 prime lenses. Possibly a 70-200mm and 100-400mm OR a huge zoom fixed lens. Then I could get rid of the lenses I have now.
Come on man, don't you guys have enough FF options already ? So tired of all the new cameras with the FF disadvantage. Please Canon, a bunch of us need the R7 Mk II !!! I freaking love / hate my R7's !
Im getting a Weird Al vibes 😂, you look great dude. Very coming to America, Soul Glo silky smooth.
BET THE NEW CANON R1 and R5 will come with MICRO HDMI! LOOOL
I would prefer a 40 ... 200 f/4 with a quality like EF 70-200 f/4 IS. Would be a great companion for the 16-35ish lenses ...
Canon R5 and the 28-70 lens. Im Currently using the R50 with 18-35 sigma art lens. I'm the official Photographer for the AMCA Antique Motorcycles association of America and I've been getting great results with this set up, as well as clean cinematic footage for my youtube channel. But the R5 would totally up my game.
A 50-200 2.8 sounds really cool for a crop sensor camera shooter like myself, along with something like a 17-55 2.8 you’re pretty well covered for general use for most things. Add in a wide angle and long zoom like a 150-600 sigma and your covered with 4 lenses
I'd buy the Z8... let me know if you're offering another $4999 !!!
Nikon Z8 with the 50mm F1.2
We need more lenses on the R line . Like their EF consumer lens
I would love the RF 28-70 f2 and the RF 15-35 f2.8 lenses for sure
If i had won it, i'd likely choose an R3 and a spare battery
50mm 1.2 would be my first purchase for the mega huger for sure!
I'm Ron Burgandy ???
Hmmm, I would get the R5 😊
Nikon Z7II and 180-600 Nikon.
But sadly would not win and responsibility will spend my money on other stuff.
What would you shoot with it?
R5-2 for sure.
maybe add (if i need to throw in i would) a fast 85. EF maybe so i could use it with my 5D4 too.
whats the big deal on the stacked sensor? im sure it was covered before but if it was, i missed it or i just dont remember
loving the hair 🤣
If hecking go for the Fujifilm GFX-100iiS 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I would pick up my first RF lens - the 28-70 f/2.
Congrats, Canon, for updating the non-junk part of your lineup. This is great news for all the people who might order one of their cameras with a 2.37mp EVF. By introducing new higher end cameras, that lowers the price of their other excellent cameras (Canon R6, R5, R3) on the used market. That means someone wanting to use Canon can get a great camera at a very reasonable price...instead of having to deal with all the lame limitations of their lower end bodies.
The R3 at a used price looks like a great camera buy!
I would get two r8 kits and a couple rf 100-400 lenses. My mom and I go on photo outings, she’s got the dslr and I have the M50mii. Upgrades for both of us!
Don't do it! Find some great used R6's (or above) and spend the Fro money on some good glass. You'll be way happier 😊.
@@thefourthquarter7429 I appreciate your opinion; however, when I need one, I’ll ask for it.
My perspectiveis built around my experience on what is needed to get great photos and how to keep those photos safe. I'm a professional photographer that photographs pets, frequently dogs running really fast. I also use Nikon. For years, I refuesed to upgrade to their mirrorless cameras because they couldn't focus fast enough to keep up with dogs running toward me at 30mph. I really require three things in a camera and rank them in order of importance.
1. AF. If the autofocus isn't fast and accurate, it makes it really hard. All current Canon cameras have great AF.
2. Viewfinder quality. A low resolution and potentially dark viewfinder makes it difficult to track subjects or view them easily in dark light. This is a serious liability for Canon's lower-end cameras.
3. Some sort of redundant storage for photos. This has become less important because the CFExpress cards (and similar like older XQD cards) are very reliable. I've never had a failure of one of these types of cards. Unfortunately, I have had SD cards fail. Here, the low end Canon cameras are an issue for me (may not matter to you!)
So, when I look at the lower end Canon bodies they fail I'm some of these aspects. Great AF, but not great otherwise.
I might add, if you look through the viewfinders on lower end bodies (not just Canon) and compare them to the viewfinders in higher end bodies, the difference is pretty clear.
Of course, you may value these things differently, but I do think you should look at the viewfinder of any camera to see how good it is before purchasing.
Thus is why I suggest buying something better that's used to save $$$.
Note that I totally respect your perspective.
@@thefourthquarter7429 I apologize for my response to your reply. While I was having a hard day with my grandfather in the hospital, it is no excuse for what was frankly a very rude response.
I started taking photography seriously a bit over a year ago. Portraits and selfies with my iPhone turned into nature, sports, and street photography in a very short period of time. UA-cam is a great place to learn about many things, Jared Polin being my #1 source for photography gear info, but I did not realize I became closed minded about what I wanted in terms of gear.
Long story short, I have not had the same experience you have had and I did not have an open mind in that moment I replied. I will be moving forward striving towards the same grace and patience you have shown me. I thank you for insight and input as a professional photographer, and I once again apologize for being a jerk. I hope you have a great day, and huge success with your career.
I would have gone for the Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z 70-200 f2. 8 or z14 - 24 f2. 8
If I won I’d go for the canon r5 or Sony a7r5 and hopefully have enough for a 24-70mm lens .I’m still using a canon T6 and it’s on its last leg.
I would use it to buy the Nikkor Z 600/F4 1.4TC.
An FX3 with some Sirui Saturn 1.6x anamorphic lenses would bless my indie virtual production TV show Infinite Simulations.
I'm curious does the Mechanical shutter really bring any value if it has a stacked sensor?
One big selling point for the R6 Series has been the dual card slots that use the same type of card.
If Canon released cameras with dual CF Express slots, then those bodies would sell like hot cakes.
Personally, I think the R6 series is just fine with the dual UHS-II card slots. The cost of SD cards is significantly less than CF Express cards, making the camera ideal for advanced hobbyists.
The R6m2 is a great action camera, as is. An R6 mark III with a stacked sensor and dual UHS-II slots would be a game changer.
You really want CFExpress B if you have a Stacked sensor. Dual CFExpress B would require more heat management. Price increase.
@@williambuford6136 Price increase. Exactly why dual UHS-II slots would be ideal. The biggest strike against the R6 series is rolling shutter.
The biggest advantage of a stacked sensor isn’t higher frame rates. It is faster readout speeds, which means less rolling shutter and image warping.
I would spend that money on a Canon R6 mkii with the 24-70 f2.0 lens for wedding and portrait photography 🙌🏾
Z9 or Z6iii and misc or use towards z400 2.8
The only new camera that actually has me excited is the GH7. But apparently Allen's Camera doesn't have them available to pre-order.
If I were to win, I would probably switch over to Canon R5 from the Sony A7-4, Need better frame rate for sports and birds in flight.
I don't think they will make a new R6 any time soon.
A stacked sensor in the R5 would kill the R3. Especially if it has a large MP sensor. It would kill the rumoured specs for the R1.
With that $4,999 - I’d get the Canon R8, and R7.
Canon or Tamron 24-70 Lens, 10-18 (canon) lens and/or 16-35 Sigma
$4,999?! That's a fantastic down payment toward the RF 400 f2.8 or maybe an eventual second body, R1 whenever it finally comes out!
I’d get something from the L-mount alliance… :)
oh snap
Still using my 90D, waiting for the R7 mII
I'd wait for the R1 with that money lol
I’d definitely get the Sony a1!
If not, I’d get the a7rv with a sigma 50mm f/1.2
The R6 line just needs put to rest. It's just not a good camera. Unless its an FX3, Z8, or S5iix competitor, lay the dang thing to rest. Its maybe 12.5-13 stops of DR it could get from the R3 sensor would not even come close to the Sony's 14-15, and the Canon C70 16-17. The fact that it would only shoot Clog3 AGAIN is a major turn off (which I'm assuming Canon will also do with the R5ii). Unless the R6 has Clog2, 2 dual native ISO settings, and at least 14 stops of dynamic range (and a full size HDMI - good Lord), they should just lay the R6 line to rest.
I'd rather have a r7 mark 2 it's the only apsc R camera, it needs a stack sensor to help with the rolling shutter.
For $4999 I would get the Fujifilm XT-5 body black, XF 50-140mm f2.8 and XF 50mm f1.0. 😊
I would spend it on a canon rf 24-70 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8 :)
Hmm with that kind of money I would have to hope that Allen's has a used R3, the 400 2.8 in EF mount and the adapter
If Canon hasn’t even done a development announcement for the R5 MII, is there any confidence they’ll actually release it next week??
What would be a good upgrade for my Canon 90d If I was going to go mirrorless . I was looking at the R6 Mark II but if there is rumors of a Mark 3 then I might hold off but then there's also the Panasonic Lumix S5 Mark II
I would buy the R6 mkii and a 50mm 1.2 for sure
With the $4999 prize, I’d get the R6 Mk II and the RF24-105 f2.8 L lens. 😀😀😀
No!, now I think I am watching Weird Al, go back to your other look! haha
50-200 2.8? Alllll day!!! 😮
My dream get would be a Canon R5 with battery pack and a Canon 24-105 lens to go with it.
I would like to order the new Canon R5ii and a third party 70-200 zoom 😊
Canon going for the jugular by dominating every camera range price point with the best specs possible for each camera.
Fro knows Soul-Glo
By the way what about a R7 mark 5 ?!!!!!! 😂😂😂
If I won, glass…glass…glass.
Whoa! Where’s the fro!
Jared moussed it!
I would purchase the canon RF 28-70 f2 air the R3.
Maybe one day. It's just so frustratingly difficult being disabled and can't afford much of anything let alone anything to help expand beyond using kit lenses. Keep hoping something would help achieve that dream. Anyway congrats to the winner though.
Great Video!
I'd spend that kind of dough on - if they have it - a black Pen-F or GX8/8 with all the Leica glass they got
..or maybe a Sony A7C with
Partially stacked sensors seems to have worse shadow recovery, will you test it for us?
Compared to what? Tony Northup's manufactured test? I have been shooting both my Z8 and Z6iii in the Golden hour and Blue hour. Use the correct exposure and you will have the typical Nikon 3 stop shadow recovery.
