Hence, based on the fact Jesus is gravely concerned about the sanctity of his word down to the last “jot and tittle” (Matt 5:18), that one, single gross addition to the word of God (namely, "TRULY") is like a flashing neon sign that signals us to consider ANY non-catholic explanation regarding the words "This is"...over and against what the Pope has to say. The Catholic Church. Roman is one rite in many. Peter's chair is there in Rome. Protestants often use "Roman" to avoid the name "Catholic". I am proud to be a Roman Catholic, ie of the Latin Rite, but ultimately I am Catholic.
@@atrifle8364 SO GOOD! And so helpful. The RITE we celebrate is (in my case) the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite. In that sense, I am a ROMAN Catholic (this refers to the rite celebrated in our liturgy). But there are a total of 7 valid RITES in 23 Catholic Churches in communion with the ONE Catholic Church. Rome has also become the place from which Peter's successor (now known as the Bishop of Rome) leads the Universal Church. Thus, we are "in communion" with the "BISHOP OF ROME." We celebrate the ROMAN RITE in communion with the BISHOP OF ROME. But there are Catholics in 22 other RITES that are **not** Roman -- but they are no less Catholic.
@@KennyBurchard the man who opened this thread here stated: _'Jesus started one church.....the Roman Catholic Church.'_ show us Kenny, show us where in Scripture we see: 1 - the 1st day being sanctified, blessed, made Holy - my Bible covers all our existence and shows the 7th day Sabbath as such only. 2 - where it's shown we are supposed to pray to humans. even dead humans. 3 - where it shows another sinner forgiving a sinner for 3rd party sins which the other sinner had no part in. there is more but this is more than sufficient to show you don't really understand Truth (see John 17:17). thanks in advance for proving these points, Sir!
Hello KMK: I am a Catholic revert and frequently compare ex-Protestants to newly naturalized citizens - they are far more knowledgeable about and devoted to their adopted religion than the natives. This video touched upon a topic I’ve been ranting about for years. I attend my Catholic Church on Sundays but my husband prefers the local Evangelical church so I tag along with him on Thursday nights. (Please don’t start. It is what it is.) Bible history, etymology of words, connections between the Old and New Testaments, etc. covered in those Protestant services is thorough and engagingly presented. There is great value in going through a book of the Bible, one chapter at a time, over a series of weeks (filtering out the Catholic-bashing of course). We do not have this kind of instruction built in to the Mass, which as you point out is basically the same rite that existed 2,000 years ago. Billy Graham has no place there. Catholics have to hunt down their serious Bible Study outside of the Mass. That is a big ask for those who are busy with the multitude of other things they need to do during the week. Other than hyping your videos to our Catholic friends, what’s the answer guys?

Ok hold on. The Michael Jackson in the background put me back in my 80’s Protestant Worship via Music only phase. Must Protestants give up their hippocampus fired to wired mega xian “Christian Worship Music”?
We three celebrate the ordinary form of the Roman Rite, therefore not the Latin Mass. We also dont celebrate the Alexandrian, Antiochene, Armenian, Chaldean, or Byzantine rites. But all seven rites are celebrated as valid. All include the same basic structure. And Jesus is fully present in them all. One big difference is that there is more Bible used in the ordinary form *during the liturgy of the word" (*comment added for clarification) than any of the others.
@@KennyBurchard I love you guys. But I am not at all sure there is more Bible in the ordinary form than in the Tridentine/extraordinary form. Have you watched part two of Mass of the Ages. The TLM was whittled way down to arrive at the Novus Ordo. And I am not saying the NO isn't valid.
@@KennyBurchard Do you have proof that more Bible is being used in NO than in TLM? That's not what I saw being explained in this video. ua-cam.com/video/kXA-Nsd2VTI/v-deo.html If you can, please help me understand what you claimed, thanks! (A genuine request)
Hey guys, my comments re: Volume of Scripture read at the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite should be clarified in this way. The reference is primarily regarding the texts read during the Liturgy of the Word. In the old missal, there are only two readings for each Mass, and these repeat every year on a one-year cycle (thus, the same readings are read year after year, every year), and there are significantly fewer (and sometimes NO) readings from the Old Testament. In the New Missal, there are THREE readings (OT, Epistle, Gospel), and rather than repeating the same texts year after year (and often repeating them in weekday masses from the previous Sunday), there is a three-year-cycle. If one attends the Ordinary Form on Sundays only over 3 years, they will hear over 7K verses read, and if they attend 7 days a week over 3 years, they will hear over 14K verses of scripture read during the liturgy of the word. There is simply no comparison. That doesn't mean there is more/less during other parts of the mass. Rather, it means that more of the Bible (especially the OT) is used in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite, and much more over the three-year (vs. the one-year) cycle.
And the litgury discussions have begun. 🙁 I get why people go to the TLM. But the reverence you are finding is a process of self selection. The NO is where everyone shows up...and everyone is certainly there. Further the terms of the whole discussion tend to be myopic. There are, as Kenny B notes, 22 other rites, with their own languages and liturgies. How they administer even the sacraments are different. The TLM is beautiful but is not worth schism and never was. My understanding is the NO was structured to more like Eastern Orthodox Masses, as changes were introduced at the time Trent. If you have a beautiful TLM, please keep going. Just please also don't think the salvation of the world depends on it. That belongs to Christ alone.
To be quite honest the Mass was one of the prime reasons I left the Roman Church in my youth. It literally bored me to death. Couldn't handle it. Any how I came to know Christ Jesus and I've been saved for the past 45 years. Praise God forevermore, and his Son.
you stated _'Any how I came to know Christ Jesus....'_ - to know God, one needs to keep His Ten Commandments, 1 John 5:3 shows us this. but if you're catholic, you can't keep His Commandments because then it would be Christianity, not catholicism.
@@NT-ih7ex it's -interesting- sad to hear how you're always so 'sad' when others aren't brainwashed, yet you seem very complacent in your own Bible illiteracy. pretty hypocritical of you, but you wouldn't know this, being catholic and all.
It's hard for me to imagine a more childish complaint, Sammy. I understand children having it. But at some point you grow up and engage the Mass. Your boredom is not indication of anything other than refusing to participate.

Christ never said mass and the eucharist is just breaking bread and giving thanksgiving for the price Christ was going to pay.
@Sammy Gomes: It wasn’t the Last Supper. It was the First Mass!
@@johnflorio3576 Pretty sure it was Passover meal.
Matthew 26:2
“You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to be crucified.”
Matthew 26:17
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Where will You have us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
Matthew 26:18
He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.’ ”
Matthew 26:19
The disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover.
Oh stop it Miss 60. The Bible, as well as the catechism REFUTE the Mass. As I said elsewhere...
So let's allow the Bible to destroy and expose Catholicism as a non-prophet organization, shall we?
Specifically, the catechism quotes the Council of Trent (which claimed to be guided by the Holy Spirit TWICE in their decree on the Eucharist) and states that the Catholic religion may be SUMMARIZED in one sentence --which, as will be shown, just happens to be a lie. So buckle your seat belts. Notice the words in caps...
“Christ our Redeemer SAID that it was TRULY his body he was OFFERING [in sacrifice at the Last Supper] ...." (CCC 1376).
Aside from the fact it is flatly unbiblical to assert that Christ "offered himself in sacrifice at the Last Supper BEFORE he went to the cross" (CCC 621) because (HELLOOOO!) there is a specific, set time for everything (Ecc 3), the worse error is to misquote Jesus Christ who DID NOT SAY that the bread was "TRUUUUUUULY" his body. He said, "This is my body", period, not that the bread was "TRUUUULY" his body. Obviously, the magisterium felt the biblical account was inadequate to stand on its own, and so in reaction to the Reformers, they stuck a word in Christ's mouth to force their position that he was speaking literally about eating his flesh, down the gullible laity's throats pretending the Holy Spirit was guiding them.
NO, The Holy Spirit was certainly NOT guiding them to add to the Text, now wake up! The fact is, the words, "This is" are shown to be metaphorical by at least 50 examples throughout the biblical record, whereas papal pundits simply ASSERT, without a scrap of evidence, that Jesus was speaking literally! If they want to risk their souls on a single-word MISQUOTE which claims to SUMMARIZE the entirety of their religious existence, then so be it. We have warned them.
As a result of their being guilty of adding to the word of God, all claims for infallibility come tumbling down, not to mention anything they say about the Eucharist is to be rejected as well. Now the fact is, it is up to the Christian to decipher the Lord's meaning FROM THE TEXT, and not from the circus of Catholic apologetic clowns who came after it.
Therefore, not only is Transubstantiation unsubstantiated, but the claim for infallibility tips over like a house of cards, exposing Trent as a “non-prophet” organization (Eph 5:11) as well as a bunch of liars (Rev 2:2; cf: Deut 18:22, Jer 23:30-40, Ezekiel 13:1-7). It is promised in those passages that all who recklessly wag their tongues by asserting, “The Lord says”, (when the Lord did not say), will be swiftly cast out of his presence (cf. Jeremiah 14:14, 23:16-21). So WHATEVER this video is reporting, here or elsewhere, , these guys are not to be trusted because they are promoting an irrefutably false religion whose top-gun Council of Trent misquoted Jesus Christ under the banner of infallibility, case closed.

Thank you, this make me understand more of Catholic Mass that I've been attending and deepen my faith. I'm gonna following the series with great anticipation.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. BEAUTIFULLY explained.GREAT Lesson. Am recommending such a FANTASTIC presentation to my RCIA team. GOD BLESS you guys, HOLY SPIRIT keep GRANTING you more wisdom so we can deepen our knowledge in learning about our Catholic Faith.
Wow wow, what a team !! Inspired by the Holy Spirit , thank you , thank you
That happened to many, including myself, finally got serious about learning the faith.
Every episode is "thrilling".
Mass (mission of the people), Litergy (the people assisting at Mass), Rite (a dramatic story of what happened), Sacraments (power of God).
The Mass like an handle to grasp the Sacrament ,Grace, Liturgy, Rite. Beautiful, and intelligently said. it takes a Home coming Protestant to polish the dusty knowledge of Home born Catholic , It is I.
Uffff EXCELLENT VIDEO!👏👏 I Loooove the Mass ❤ praise to the Lord 🙌
well you are deluded. The Mass is a sham and hoax. If you had to defend it in debate, you would LOSE.
Thanks for your amazing experiences
Thank you.🙏🌹God bless.🙏🌹🙏
What I find so incredible is what these highly educated men believed about Catholicism. And these are Pastors! How can one have such tunnel vision and be so uniformed? My son's Catholic High School taught him in depth about the world's 6 major religions without bias.
I love your network. It has helped me get some of my die hard friends turned toward the altar. Did you avoid discussing the original, 1500 year old mass? Or are you afraid of the nonsensical controversy supposedly surrounding the 'new' mass and the 'old?'
In any event, one can experience the mass every day, in different ways, and always subsumed into it.
You are deluded. The Mass is idolatry to the MAXXX.

Jesus started one church and said it would last forever
The Roman Catholic Church
He certainly didn't.
He started a church. We call it the Catholic church.
@@atrifle8364 it's like a brick wall.
@@KennyBurchard the man who opened this thread here stated: _'Jesus started one church.....the Roman Catholic Church.'_
show us Kenny, show us where in Scripture we see:
1 - the 1st day being sanctified, blessed, made Holy - my Bible covers all our existence and shows the 7th day Sabbath as such only.
1:05 - Parfaits have layers too. 🙂
Also Trifles!
Hi Mat, Ken and Kenny
Have been listening to your podcasts a lot and they have been very helpful growing in faith and was trying to see if you guys have anything on bond or free women from (Gal 4 :21- 5:1)
would be nice if you guys did a podcast on the above topic since you guys came from justification by faith alone background

Why is slavery of interest to you?
Ok hold on. The Michael Jackson in the background put me back in my 80’s Protestant Worship via Music only phase. Must Protestants give up their hippocampus fired to wired mega xian “Christian Worship Music”?
The Eucharist is the Catholic church
A child once described the mass as a tardis. Very clever!😇
👍
Now do the Latin Mass!
That's not what I saw being explained in this video. ua-cam.com/video/kXA-Nsd2VTI/v-deo.html
If you can, please help me understand what you claimed, thanks!
@@NT-ih7ex See above for clarification.
...why the Michael Jackson album on the shelves?
Support the Traditional Latin Mass.
Why? Christ and the apostles never said mass.
@@sammygomes7381 r u a Stevie wonder or ray charles?

To be quite honest the Mass was one of the prime reasons I left the Roman Church in my youth. It literally bored me to death. Couldn't handle it.
Any how I came to know Christ Jesus and I've been saved for the past 45 years. Praise God forevermore, and his Son.
Are you Italian?
What church in Rome?
Sad to hear you were not taught and properly catechized. Hope you now realize what you had missed.
you stated _'Any how I came to know Christ Jesus....'_ - to know God, one needs to keep His Ten Commandments, 1 John 5:3 shows us this.
but if you're catholic, you can't keep His Commandments because then it would be Christianity, not catholicism.
