90s TV really had a certain level of comfort and warmth that cant be found in today's shows and commercials. Like a beautiful sunrise on an early morning. Makes you happy everytime you see it. Thank you for continuing to remind us of these days Dave
Another great collection that I hated to see end. It is true that there was a kind of aura of hope, security and familiarity in 90's TV (especially the ads) that has long since been lost. 📺 Thank goodness for memories...and of course Dave! You rock! 👍
How did we reach the point where commercials today have become so abrasive, annoying, and full of anxiety? In the 90s I genuinely enjoyed commercials. So many of these made me smile even today. After watching this, I looked up another video showing ads from 2023, and I couldn't get through two without having to turn it off.
Life is crazy. If we recorded a show on mcr or even later with dvr we would always skip the commercials. Now we sit and watch them on purpose. Cinderella (the band) said don't know what you got till it's gone.
Not sure what's more depressing seeing the prices of things in the mid to late 90's or traveling to Japan (which i just did) and realizing everything there is 40% cheaper than in the US.
That Stuart Anderson's guy would totally be a meme if those commercials were around now. "Aliens In The Family" just screams "cancelled after one season". Bro, I vividly remember those Orkin Man commercials, I actually thought they were really cool.🤣 Somehow, I forgot blue M&Ms are a recent thing considering how long M&Ms have been around. 20:14 The rare 90s prescription drug commercials. Nowadays, you're almost guaranteed at least two damn near every commercial break.
Looked it up, as I grew up watching TGIF and did NOT remember that show. It was pulled after 2 episodes on TGIF and then relegated to Saturday mornings when they did put it back on tv, 4 months later.
Oh, Little Caeser's, I just got a notification from an app earlier, reminding me to try the new Crazy Puffs. I wonder if they had to discuss Intellectual Property with the lawyers for the pizza cupcake lady from Shark Tank.
Please, with all the chaos erupting around the world these memories of an amazing era need to be protected at all costs and the tech to play these for ages to come
There's something oddly calming and relaxing watching old ads, I was born in the mid 80's but was more a product of the 90s and a lot of these ads I haven't seen in over 30 years. Many of them, whether by a visual or musical cue, evoke memories of watching TV with my sister and my parents on friday night, waking up early on saturday mornings to watch my favorite cartoons, coming home from school and vegging in front of the TV instead of doing my homework. They just hit different in all the best ways.
The 90s is the best time due to multiple things: the USSR was gone the economy was good and the balanced between technology and Society was perfectly balanced
12:36 never heard of this movie before, so I just finished watching it. Good acting from some legends, including Robert Duvall playing a half black guy lol
Dana Carvey had a short lived sketch comedy show and it had a different title sponsor every episode. It goes back to the beginning of American television where show title sponsors were common.

Yeah, it was like that into the early 2000s too and it changed. I wonder why it changed.
@@JHM117So true
It's amazing how much life has changed. Dave thank you for keeping these memories alive. It's the best therapy in this day and age.
IT absolutely issss. Spot on! 👏
Man I miss Phil Hartman. Thank you, Dave!
Based on the SNL advertisement this would of been the week of 4-10 Feb 1996.
It’s always relaxing to watch these nostalgic commercials!!
Hi, I’m Troy McClure. You might remember me from such films as ..
That Black angus commercial with the cowboy yelling at a bear
10/10
That first one…damn…still miss phil Hartman. Taken from us way too soon.
Apparently Andy Dick got him on a kick again. Jon Lovitz found out and beat the crap out of him
My other comment seems to be deemed inappropriate hit the newest comment button to see it
He was the real GOAT. Such a versatile actor and quietly suffering abuse..😢
Fabio was the Chad we never knew we needed

Was relaxing and in the 90s zone and suddenly at 13:14, "a three-month old baby is shaken to death"

Mmmmm needed this vid tonight. Thanks for everything davey. One love yall
Man these commercials look and sound so old yet it feels like they were just here not long ago, but alas it's been nearly 30 years.
Please, with all the chaos erupting around the world these memories of an amazing era need to be protected at all costs and the tech to play these for ages to come
This early 90s kid loves your channel❤
Thanks I needed this today
10:59 Tony Jay did a Mazda commercial?
Who needs robocop when you could have the orkin man

8:40 "Buddies". Dave Chapelle is there
TV just looked "warmer" back then
The guy in the thumbnail looks like Jerry Stiller eating a hamburger 😅
Home Improvement!-with the convict son
4:48 I saw this in screencaps in a book about modern CGI animation from the 90s
Didnt know Dave did tv before the Dave Chappelle show 😂
You've seen half baked though right?
@@Spawn3X5I've heard about it and Robin Hood men in tights. Which are movies 😂. TV is different
The Taco Bell Dana Carvey show?? What was that all about and why was Taco Bell in the name 😂
Haven't had snackwells bringem back
Growing up my parents would take me and my sister to black Angus every friday night.
I have no memory of Buddies! It seems it ran for two months.

I'm sorry, but can someone please explain to me wtf the Taco Bell Dana Carvey show is?

Please the name of this woman at 16:55!

@DavesArchives
Can I please send you a request list of what I would like to see on your channel because I enjoy retro television.
What is it with you and misnumbering some of your uploads? This is volume 532, not 531.
Actually 533
Corrected! :)
