I have made several Xun as an amateur potter although I have yet to learn to play. I would do better as a non musician to have tablature music to play from for two reasons, i do not read music and for sure not Chinese music. Does anyone know of any fingering charts for 8 hole XUN ?
I'm fairly sure they include fingerings charts when you purchase one from Red Music Shop or Sound of Mountain. It helps an lot to be able to play them as you will be able to test your instrument and make sure it's in proper tuning and has good dynamics and transitions between lower and higher notes.
Amazing instrument. In Kazakshtan this instrument also known as Sazsyrnai.
