    I know it's a matter of personal preference but I carry a USPC in 45 and I opted for the thumb safety block so I only have a decocker. That's a long story, the safety/ decocker would bounce from decock to safe and that's not good when your expecting a double action trigger pull and you get a pistol on safe. We practice a concealment drill at the 3 yard line, 3 shots in the a zone from concealment in under 1.5 seconds. My best is 1.32.
    I use my brain and the the double action trigger as a safety. Adrenaline makes thumb safety's difficult to use unless you train beyond thought. When it hits the fan, you can't tell a 9 pound trigger from a 4 pound. I get asked alot what is the best pistol for concealed carry and my answer is always, The one you will train with. HK makes quality stuff and their customer service is top of the line. I trust my USPC to work every time and it has never let me down in over 5000 rounds.

    Those are damn fine looking HKs brother! Love the FDE on the VP9. I have never understood the bump in the trigger. Once you get past it, the VP9 triggers are awesome. The barrel on the P30 looks sweet. I'm honored to give you some HK inspiration! Thanks for the great shoutouts! Means a lot brother. Cheers my friend!

    I've got a ton of HK's. I love em. I've got a new grey framed P30S that I believe you would also like. 3 of my HK's have the LEM trigger. Man that P30 of yours looks badass. The P30 is still IMO the best looking pistol in the world.

    I've got a vp9sk planned for my future. Just have to squirrel away the money over time. I have had the usp40c for around 20 years now! It's still my favorite pistol and my edc. I like the vp9 but the sk is more appealing to me. I'm hoping a local him range will get one in so I can rent it and see how it handles. If it's anything like my uspc, I'll love it.

    SpecOp, I used to also find it weird how some guns had a disproportionate slide to grip ratio (PX4, USPc, and recently the Sig p229c). Now I kinda want one since I'm missing one from my lineup. Namely, it's the USPc 9 that's calling to me.

    Wish my hand worked with the grip design. Had a vp40 but had to sell it. When shooting it would rub on my thumb knuckle breaking my skin and start bleeding. These HK VP's are very accurate though

    • @jman12123
      @jman12123 6 років тому

      Same thing happened to when I rented the VP9. The grip fit my hands great aside from the raw thumb knuckle. Ruger SR9c was perfect for me, but I'm looking for a carry pistol in 40 caliber to try.

    How would you compare the HK VP9sk to say a Glock 19? I understand that technically one is a sub compact and one isn’t, but from what I hear, they are close in size. I have yet to see a VP9sk in a gun shop, so I figured I’d ask. I HATE Glock 26/27 as it is too small for the hand and with the extension, you might as well buy the 19/23. So for me, I’m looking at either a 19/23 or an HK VP9sk. Any thoughts?

    • @spec2057
      @spec2057  4 роки тому

      19/23 as everything you stated is true. Unfortunately the sk does have a shorter grip much like the 26. I feel the same way, if you’re going to put and extension, may as well buy the 19. I’ve tried extensions before and have always come back to the 19/23. And the length of the barrel being a touch longer in a 19 isn’t an issue for concealed carry anyway. Hope this helps bud.

      With HK you have to get used to the paddle mag release. Once this is done, it's a thought process to go back to a button release. Personally I feel the HK points better than a glock and has much better ergonomics, as well as a better trigger. I get the glock has better capacity, but one thing seldom discussed is you will be liable for every round you fire and capacity vs shot placement is an interesting debate.

    So4 Great vidio. living I'm Massachusetts. we don't get the chance to get a vast choice of quality handguns. but I did happen to get a VP9sk LE edition. and I see your beef with capacity and space. but for me, it's 10 rnds or jail. so I just carry more mags. stay safe and keep making the great vidios.

    • @spec2057
      @spec2057  7 років тому

      Hey, nothing wrong with 10 rounds. Been carrying my 26 for years and never felt underguned. But ya, the size to capacity ratio has always sucked for HK. Take care man!

    I have a usp 45c that has been around for the better part of 12 years or so and I love it. I don't carry it that much anymore because my G30S just conceals better with higher capacity and lighter weight. But the Hk is of higher quality. As far as strikers go the vp9 is a great platform but I'm in ppq nirvana right now. Just bought a 5" ppq and boy does that thing shoot, and the trigger breaks like a vile of glass. Check out brokosok's UA-cam videos on the ppq accuracy, he's a glock guy as well. I'm getting 1" groups from 25 yards with my 5" shooting from a rest. This year or early next Walther is suppose to release a PPQc. I may grab a vp9 longslide when and if Hk releases them

    There is a reason why HK doesn't impress with mag capacity. I recomend a test: use both gloc and hk mags extensively and check which one will last longer. The answer is simple HK will last a lot longer. They got a lot better springs and over quality. But it comes at a pice of lower capacity.
