I’m going down to the 41, it just simply looks best on my wrist plus more comfortable. I have the stainless steel 45 and its just heavy and bulky in my opinion.
I agree! I’m thinking about down sizing in all honesty. My Apple Watch series 6 (44mm) kinda hurts my wrist tbh. I’d rather choose comfort over display
I went from the 42mm series 2 to finally upgrading to the series 9 45mm. My old eyes need more screen size. Thank you for the comparison! I also bought the sport loop for the first time.
I got my first Apple Watch last year, just after the Series 8 was released. I went for the Series 7 Nike, because I didn't need the 8's temperature tracking, but wanted more than the SE2 had to offer. I wear it for sleep tracking, so it gets put on its fast charger during my "morning routine". My advice would be to definitely consider older models, especially if they're still available brand new. I'd even go as far as to say that access to WatchOS 10 might be more important than the model number. Also, if you're able to try on, that would be a bonus too. I was sure I'd prefer the darker colour, but wasn't sure of size. After trying all sizes and colours, I actually went for the 41 in Starlight. Thanks for the content!
This video is great! I’m so glad I ordered the series 9 45mm (upgrading from a series 5 40mm)- I wear glasses, so I agree the size will make a huge difference for me😊
not sure if this has been said in the comments yet but one reason the stainless steel costs much more is because it automatically comes with Cellular. You don't have an option to exclude it.
decided to pick the 41 mm since I prefer small watches (I generally wear watches no more than 40 mm). It sits very nicely on my 18 cm wrist and feels so light I can ignore the weight most of the time
If you're concern is that the watch face is going to be too big, Garmin and other smart watches are significantly larger. I can't recommend opting for such a tiny display unless you've got extremely slim wrists. The Ultra is fine for most people so long as you use the features it includes. Otherwise I'd opt for any of the other 45mm models.
I honestly wish they had more watch size options. 41mm and 45mm are quite the jump in sizes. For me, I’m currently using the 42mm Apple Watch Series 3. It fits snug on my arm, but could be a bit bigger. Maybe not 45mm bigger LOL, but I also don’t want it to be smaller. I honestly think that a 43mm size option would be awesome.
So what size did you go for? I’m also looking to upgrade from my series 3 42mm, my wrists are thin so I guess 41mm will be okay but still want that bigger display.
I have a little wrist and currently wear the S5 40mm rose gold so I will go the s9 41mm pink. The comfort and size suits my little wrist and my lifestyle. I don’t like big and chunky.
Thanks. It’s honestly up to you and how “rugged” you are with your watches. I haven’t personally scratched up either material. Ones a bit more premium but it comes with a price tag while they both do the exact same functions
I add several stainless steels and try two aluminum versions, and my experience is the following... The glass on the aluminum version is super weak and will definitely get scratched for sure. But the case itself is gonna hold up just fine. The stainless steel version is a lot tougher and if you don't drop it, you won't get a single scratch. The stainless steel version is worth it if you plan to keep it for 2 or 3 years or if you buy the previous model at a discounted price.
IMO series 9 is better since it’s got 2000 nits and new energy efficient chip. But I really worry if the series 10 would have major design update like circular display, or the same rectangular with 42mm? I guess 42mm and 44mm would be the sweet spot. Also a new chip may be introduced with ultra type battery supporting 5G. that said only if Samsung introduces 5G in its smartwatch
do you get VO2 max in your AW7? I had the AWU1 but was too bulky, I sold it. I am using my sense 2 but I hate that every other day i had to repair the watch because if you move away of the BT distance something goes off and does not updatethe info in the fitbit app. VO2 max is available in sense 2 but does not sync with appel health, only steps. I want to buy an AW again but AW9 is expensive, I think I can get AW7 or AW8 but wondering if VO2 max is available
Thanks for your video! It would be ideal if can try both sizes at the shop but thats not an option as im getting this for my girlfriend as a surprise birthday present. After seeing both on your wrist ive decided on the 41mm. 41mm looks just right on your wrist and you're a guy. Will get her the pink one with cellular to compliment the iPhone 15 Pro i got for her last Christmas.
Just got the 9 45mm SS. I upgraded from 5 40mm aluminum. Just wanted bigger screen and change but the 41 does look better on my wrist. I wish they still had the 42mm. I tried on the ultra 49mm but that was just too big and unnecessary for my lifestyle
Also it would be wise to buy a series 9 aluminium since we could expect next generation update on series 10. If not updated u can upgrade for sure. If you buy stainless steel version of series 9, U will be in a dilemma of whether to upgrade or not for having invested a lot on series 9 SS.
Best Buy told me my order is delayed till next Friday. What did I do wrong? Most UA-camrs I see have like 4 or 5 each. I’m going from series 1 to a series 9. It will be crazy to make it past an hour without having to recharge the watch.

Great video. Lots of information packed in! You’re SO right encouraging people to “go with their gut!” Oversized watches have been fashionable for decades, way before the Apple Watch so it comes down to your on fashion sense and confidence that whatever you buy, you’ll wear it well.
@CJKnowsTECH video fire as always and much appreciated. That unpacking ok ok have to see what the GOAT @FlossyCarter has to say about that presentation. To me the watch unpacking way better than the phone unboxing. I do like the 45 just the real estate that I would get but you know me I am a Samsung Knight but not hating on the watch just not for me even though I will say Apple killing the game on the smartwatch. Thanks for the vid see you on the next one. Peace!
I think smart watches either from Apple or Samsung is a waste of money. I don't see it more efficient that using your phone. Only pro is ehile you're working out you dont have to pull out your phone and let's face it, 90% of these people dont work out. Smart watches are like bread crumbs put together to feed people
Expensive phones can also be a waste of money too. These are more of a luxury. But I don’t want to make people feel dumb for buying them. Let people enjoy their stuff. I myself don’t spend money on alcohol, but I know there are millions who do. And that’s fine.
I bought the 45” and I love it. It’s more easier on my eyes. I also like how the Watch interacts with the phone and I love the snoopy new watch face.
Dude you are such a comfortable person to watch and very friendly and funny too. Keep going like this!
Thank you

I ordered the 45 mm midnight Apple Watch s9 and I love that color and this is my first Apple Watch

Hello, thanks for the video. I am sorry if I missed it but could you please tell me if the 45mm will fit the 41mm?
not sure if this has been said in the comments yet but one reason the stainless steel costs much more is because it automatically comes with Cellular. You don't have an option to exclude it.
Yes! Glad someone mentioned this 👏🏼👏🏼

I got the Series 9 45 mm, I'm just debating on whether I got the right color or not. I got the midnight.
I always just get the smallest aluminum Apple Watch because my wrists are skeletal (5.25 inches in circumference).
My "seasoned" eyes say get the 45 so that's what I brought home in pink this afternoon lol
😂 understood
Had to get the 45mm with my 7 1/2” wrist.

0.079 inches from 41 to 43mm. I don’t think you can notice the difference. 😉
That’s what I upgraded from, just get the 45mm bro 😭😭

Excellent video explaining how to pick the correct Apple watch.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks
My wrist is 20cm, and I’m on the fence on size man. 41 looks better, but the 45 is also nice since it’s only $30 more.
I'm going with the 41MM as it looks more comfortable , thanks for the Video brother ♥️♥️ Much appreciated
Excellent video. Thank you !!! I am about to buy myself my first ever Apple Watch, so all hints and tips are appreciated.....

What size wrist do you have?
Where's the Samsung gear s watch from years ago we need a updated version. Samsung bring back the square frame version.
41mm it is. Thank you sir!
Make sense good advice for me it’s the 45mm and I was thinking the silver color so for me that’s a very helpful video ✌🏻
Pink 41 for me!❤
Go with the Nike textile band. So much better than plain sport band
I’m going for the 45mm
Great video! What about the stainless steel version? It is worth it? Do the aluminum version get scratches a lot?

Mines 6 inches still debating on size watch
Honestly your video just made things more difficult with the constant repeating, go with your gut and whatever fits your budget idk
Appreciate the content CJ. I think I’m going to stay with my AW series 7 until next years release.

Do you think the 45mm is heavy on the wrist for some who jogs a lot?
Aluminum Apple Watches feel light to me regardless of which size
Yes please stainless steel vs aluminum video

Nice question. But that would tempt a few to buy as a deciding factor!
Just got a s9 I also have watch ultra I actually like the more compact size.
45mm all the way!!!
I got an SE earlier this year and I got the 40 mm. I wish I had gone with the 44 mm 😢 I thought the bigger size would look too big on me 🙄
Same. I just traded in my smaller se to the new 9 45mm yesterday. Best choice ever
@@ricky33183 Nice!!!
Thank you for having the same wrist size as me lol
I just bought the 41mm, it’s unopened but idk if I should exchange for the 45m. I got a small wrist as well 💀
Follow your gut...you should be able to try it on and return it if you don't like the size right?
yes they have a 14 day return. I will see, might actually just stay with the 41mm. 45 might be too large for my wrist actually lol@@CJKnowsTECH

I just copped me the Ultra 2. I currently have a series 7 45mm. The size of bigger faces doesn’t bother me. I grew up wearing big bulky G-Shocks. Lol.
Right. The Ultra 2 is a nice choice
41mm looks more like a traditional watch 45mm looks like a pipboy on the wrist. 🤔

Did you say your wrist size?
Approximately 6 inches
battery life ?
Hey can I ask what is your wrist size?
Approximate six inches

The stainless steel looks really nice!! But much pricier. If I was rich I think I’d get one 😂
On Amazon the silver stainless steel with the blue watch band is the same price as the aluminum watches.
Do you have a dedicated video on the stainless steel? Maybe I’ll get one for my birthday or Christmas.
May I know your wrist size in mm?
6 inches = 152.4mm

Is the starlight band easy to stain?
