Its jist being in great cardio shape. Sing cadence or songs or talk to someone while running, itll build your wind big time even moreso than not doing that.
I neither met this man nor did I grow up during his era ... But, I have to admit that he's one of the most fascinating human beings that I've up come up to deeply admire - - - I think that when people talk about ‘legacy’, Muhammad Ali symbolizes the exact meaning of the word. 100, 200, 300 ... years from today, people of completely new generational experiences will still talk of him and admire his influence - - - taken from someone of an era they had never grown up to. Rest in peace Champ - G.O.A.T MUHAMMAD ALI ! 💪💖
Don't laugh guys, but this made my eyes wet. The music, the outfits, the landscape, the seventies and off course the legend... what a time to be alive...
We now live in China's America, where Joe Biden was "elected" to be president, where the mark of the beast is required to eat/work/purchase food... where racism is encouraged unless you have white skin... where you can sit on your ass 7 days a week a collect a government check off the backs of the working man.
Would've loved to have been alive in the 60s and 70s. Just seemed a far better time, the novelty of technology has worn off big time and become a burden
This man changed my life hardcore bc I started watching Ali in elementary through middle school high school college and now turning 30 no I was not alive when he was a active boxer but his legacy still affected my generation and especially me so I watched Ali all the time sometimes all day as a child he was my childhood hero and inspiration and I understood how to box from him I learned so much about boxing from Ali off course my boxing coach taught me new things but it always made sense through what I already learned perfectly from Ali’s example so I love watching and coming across videos like this on UA-cam bc as a kid I watched mostly fight related videos of him but now it’s good to see another more pure educational & entertaining side of Ali
This is from the movie the greatest, I remember when this 1st came out I seen it the very 1st day, At the Orleans movie theater in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, It was approximately around 3 miles I ran all the way up and on the way back I ran home. I was into running at the time.
May Allah bless his soul!!! I met Muhammad Ali in the streets of Casablanca during Ramadan. I was in high school. Even before meeting him, I had a big poster of him in my room. He was bigger than boxing. He was a simple man. Better!!! he was a Muslim!!! 1
You know what…. Bruce Lee also said the same thing to I can’t remember who it was ? Coburn? Or someone while they were running and training…. Bruce said if it kills you, it kills you… the dude who he was running with said his heart was about to burst out of his chest 😂 both these legends are right… I push when I train, but when it comes to joints, knee and leg pain that’s a different matter…. I listen to my tools and preserve them for the next day…. I know when my joints and tendons are telling me you’re running wrong or you’re shoes are bad or your stance is Ewing affected…. But I agree with both these legends… fight through the mental pain barrier… that mental pain barrier disappears after you keep pushing… even better is when your brain says stop is when you put effort into taking it to another level!!
Just finished watching the Ken Burns documentary. It was really good. I can't believe he ran in army boots. I'm a runner and there's no way I could do that.
Wilder does conditioning with Water work. More resistance! Sugar Ray himself said that Running is A must though?! Random Fact: James Toney didn't utilize the heavy bag. He felt that sparring and conditioning was the most simulAted tactic as fighting in a boxing bout!
Because the jogging combined with the sparring breaks you down quickly. I use to box golden glove and I understand why he don’t jog but wilder does sprint in fast burst , wilder does other cardiovascular exercises would be too much strain on the body. Fighters from back in the day didn’t have treadmills or gyms they had crazy work ethic. It’s videos of jack Johnson lifting up cows
Many people don’t know that Muhammad Ali used to bring Islamic pamphlets to places where he was making an appearance. He would sign the pamphlets and hand them out, knowing that people would not throw them out because they had his signature on it. He loved the idea that people would keep Islamic literature in their home, even if they were not Muslim. Muhammad Ali was a great man. He was a kind and generous person, but he was also a lion and a warrior,
The music, the sports, the art, - it all was better back then. When i was young my father never said that. As a dad my daughter says that. Thank goodness all this stuff was preserved on film. Wish he would have done less rope a dope. Bless you Ali- Champ.
The champ is running spiting poetry at the same time, he Was just on another Level, Rip champ
bandini teached him well

What I love about this movie is that’s actually where Ali trained, in his book he mentioned how he named the different rocks after different fighters
Whats the book name
Hay buddy if this is a movie what’s it called ?
Cheers

Well said, this man was more than a great boxer
I met him but he couldn’t talk. He didn’t mind entertaining the people or taking pics even though he was occupied doing something else
!!
@Berry McCalkiner He was a showman by nature but he was the greatest living boxer

This is the best motivation about running.

RIP You were one of my heroes and this speech has stayed with me for decades.
I'd be running so much easier if I ran with Ali talking to me like this
He IS with you 💙
I MISS YOU CHAMP.
Watching Ali jog and work out. Motivated me to get back into it!! He had a lot of class!!! RIH the greatest!!!

I had this on loop for two hours while running, didn’t stop for nothing lol
The cameraman was the real MVP in this clip
Salute to Muhammad Ali👌🏼👏😇🥰
Note Ali's Logoless sweatsuit. Another thing I loved about the 70s - no one had to worry about name-brands.
When I grow up, I will be muhammad ali, and when I come home I will say. " _I TOLD YOU_ "
There are all time great boxers ... then there's Muhammad Ali.

You have a Gem of a video here....and with the GOAT for his style of boxing.
Wilder should take this advice, I once saw an interview with Wilder where he said he didn’t need to run, WRONG….!!!!!!!!!
