Yeah there’s certain cars that just fit the bill, I’m always overly cautious. The small wheels give it away since they’re so rare on them and they just have a ‘look’ about them.

Been in a few chases when I was a lot younger, when I think back to them we were extremely stupid and took crazy risks purely to get away, the worst I ever done on a personal note was drive down a large set of stairs. And a little top tip, NEVER buy an Ex police car, if you watch back any police chases and focus on ''speed humps'' that's why you don't ever want to buy an Ex police car.

Great for the police to try and get on the publics side after their recent history. I know you cannot tar all police with the same brush, and the majority all do a good job. Although traffic police are not whiter than white and should be setting an example. No indication, on the phone, lane hogging, speeding. I’ve seen a lot recently.

We have the Ford Taurus Interceptor, Dodge charger pursuit, Chevy Caprice PPV, Chevy Tahoe PPV, Ford explorer Interceptor, and Dodge Durango pursuit with all have over 350hp. The 2020 Ford Explorer Interceptor now has 400hp with a 3.5L V6 twin turbo EcoBoost and 10 speed automatic transmission.
@@cyro8884 thanks for the reply, it certainly takes a particular type of person to do his job, when he applied for firearms division ( he was already a regular PC ) I think there were about 130 applications and only 16 got through , he now also does close protection work if any VIP's or Royals are in Cambridge for visits. He finds it interesting and varied and does enjoy it.
Great content Archie 😎 Some pretty decent road craft on the night time blue light run by other road users - do you tend to find people are less likely to see you or pulling over during the day? What’s the longest it’s taken for someone to realise you’re there? Is there a penalty that could be applied in this case or a flea in the ear?
I can comment as a blue light driver myself, albeit working for the ambulance service. Good days and bad days, good drivers and bad drivers. From experience, people tend to react better at night, on the basis that lights are much more noticeable and are seen further away. I've followed someone for 2-3 miles before they've noticed us and that's using multiple siren tones, headlight flashes and different vehicle positions. I'm some cases if you don't move and an officer sees this, you may be considered for driving without due care and attention. Hope this helps.

The limit is the limit. Nothing in law stops you being prosecuted at 31 in a 30. Different forces have different tolerances, but keep it under 10% above limit and you should be fine.
@@danpascoe6126 It’s 10 percent plus 2. The chances of you getting done for doing 1-3mph over the limit, is almost impossible. Unless of course you’re extremely rude to the officer that pulls you over.
@@roadreg1820 Incorrect. Those are NPCC guidelines only, there is nothing in legislation stopping cops dealing with you for 1mph above the limit. The guidelines are normally used/kept to, but drivers need to understand that the limit is the limit, going above that has consequences.
They get different spec so who knows. You will notice it had cloth seats in the rear and a different kind of seat in front that’s not like the normal leather or design. It’s durable stuff. It’s also why there are X5’s with halogen lights, these too are police spec and not the same as what we buy.

I got pulled over in the state of Massachusetts(USA) going 128kph in a 88kpm zone. The State Trooper asked me if I knew how fast I was going... I said sure, 80mph. He was kinda surprised I said that as he said...that was 100% what he had me at, asked me if I knew it was a 55mph zone, I said sorry, I thought it was a 65mph zone. He said....that's STILL over the limit. Asked me a few questions and then went back to his cruiser with my info. Came back and gave me a warning as I was so honest with him. Having a veteran plate helps to. Don't lie people. Officers have the tools to see through BS.

If you was to modify a vehicle and declare them all bar 1 or 2 maybe by accident. What would happen if caught out. Would you get chance to rectify that or straight lose your vehicle?
It's nout to do with the police, your insurers probably wont be happy and they'll either charge you to rectify your policy or just straight up cancel it.
I don't watch your videos much but this was great. A lot of your younger viewers need to see this stuff as well because a lot of young drivers are getting into powerful cars far more easily due to leasing and unfortunately a lot of them drive like absolute FKing idiots on the road, so hopefully this will educate that they are not the best driver ever or invincible.
This was a really great watch however correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t they let that lady off lightly who was on her phone? I’m sure it’s supposed to be a £200 fine and 6 points for being on a mobile phone whilst driving and she was only given a £100 fine and 3 points for driving without full control? Seems a bit off that they let some people off but others and new young drivers receive the full 6 points and £200 fine which loses their license if they are within their first 2 years of driving. Please let me know if I’m wrong but if not that’s really not great policing from them in that part.

I got a question about that speed calibration device. How long would the police have to be behind you for it accurately record your speed ? Would they have to engage it to record your speed, or would it automatically just record it ?
Retired cop here. For those reading who enjoy speeding consider this. The worst job is delivering a "death message" to the family of motorists killed in accidents. You literally watch their whole lives disintegrate in front of your eyes in less than one minute. Speed Kills but it also destroys the lives of families left behind.
Active paramedic working in the country without general speed limits on the highway here: within years of service at a station next to two of the busiest highway sections I've come across only a single fatal accident. It took place on a rural road and was in suicidal intention. All the other accidents, especially those on the highways, ended with only minor or even no injuries at all. Most accidents don't even involve EMS. Most serious accidents with someone being injured involve slow vehicles, like vans, trucks etc. Also the general accident statistics show the greatest number of fatal accidents happen on rural roads with a speed limit, not on the highways with no speed limit for most parts of it. Most patients EMS transports to the ER after an accident are only to check them up, exclusion for injuries we can't see or detect.

Are Dan's boots good for driving? Thinner soles give better feel but gotta wear something that gives protection as well..

None of ours are,never heard of any been mapped,can introduce reliability issues and void warranties.
