nothing beats patti's version, but bings' is absolutely incredible, he makes the song his own and gives it an incredible twang that, too, can't be beat.
Remember, these songs from 1957 find Bing to be 54 years old, and Patti sung hers in her prime, and yes, it is a great one.......but Bing sung this and many more as "throwaway" songs, done with only piano accompaniment, (and not very good either), but an orchestra track was added to give it more depth, whereas Patti Page's version was done both in her prime and with a full orchestra present. Something to keep in mind. FYI
