- A crowd of 20,561 saw Motherwell twice come from behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Rangers at Fir Park in this Scottish League Cup sectional match on 23rd August 1975. Rangers goalscorers were Sandy Jardine and Alex Miller, with Bobby Watson and Willie Pettigrew replying for the 'Well.

Heheh, a video recorder in 1975? Our telly was still B&W then! I believe this clip originated from Bobby Watson (Motherwell's first goal scorer in this game). It turned up on youtube & I stuck it on my playlist. Looks like he may have got it from the TV company originally...

I was at that game , I'm sure there was a spillage of supporter's from the middle of the enclosure on to the grass.
