What made this a video worth thumbing up is that you gave practical information; I love to use UA-cam to propel me as I put travel itineraries together so to have the names of the locations of the places you film is so valuable. People always have 'FOMO' when they are only in a city or town for a few days, having flashbacks to vlogs or photos they've seen and comparing their immediate environs to that. Around them will be ugly concrete urban life and people enter a mild anxiety wondering where the 'beautiful tropical stuff' is, and importantly HOW TO GET THERE...or even where a trip should be based for the best travel links to the aforementioned gorgeousness. So a vlog like this reassures people that they won't remain in the built up, ugly part of a city or town; here's what's in Ishigaki and here's where it is on a map. For you to share, in economical language, basic travel information and really good practical tips and logistical info etc, is TERRIFIC. Things that you learned the hard way and wish to stress the importance of is also really fascinating and will make your channel unique; only YOU can share these tips, tricks, recommendations and anecdotes because they come from YOUR life, not as part of some flashy, formulaic 'travel vlogger' template. Ishigaki remains on my radar and during this era of restricted travel and abnormal behaviour I will gobble up as many fun and intelligent travel-related videos that I can. Thumbs up. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing this! I haven't been to Ishigaki in a while but I'd like to pop in there when I visit my relatives in Miyakojima! Keep making content Ernst. You're doing great! - TGC Marvin
Nice, finally the Okinawa arc begins. The boss knows how to keep the viewers waiting eh. My favorite place was the Hirakubo Lighthouse, with those great views!
What a beautiful spot! The view is gorgeous and the boat trip sounds fun. Thanks for capturing different aspect of the island. The observation deck is probably my favorite, but I really like the path to the lighthouse as well. I love how you end the day with pineapple smoothie while embracing the sunset. What an amazing end to a relaxing day trip!
stumbled across your video on twitter i just had to say how well this is shot and edited, it truly brings out the best of okinawa i hope to visit someday!
Great video! Love the serene tranquil scenery of this place! Looks like a nice place to go hiking. That glass bottom boat reminds me of Tobermory. That blue seal ice cream and pineapple slush looked so good too 🤤
Aah, this video makes me feel like visiting there right away! The water is so pristine! The video itself is amazing, so informative and yet so refreshing! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Ishigaki's on my list, but I have to say, the number 1 thing I want to do is a kayak tour of the mangrove area. The salty ice cream flavour is definitely a must too. Thanks for the picks!
Thanks for the video, very informative. I wanted to visit the place as an Astrotourist. I’ve heard a lot about stargazing in Ishigaki. Have any one had an experience with night sky?
I only came to watch this video after accidentally spotted this tiny island near Taiwan that is about to fight with China. Haha. Not a bad island, but I am more interested in cityscapes like Tokyo. Anyway, if you are traveling abroad again, do not forget to bring me along.
You can reserved online with the car rental company. They'll pick you up directly at the airport when you arrive and take you to their office/rental parking lot. Then you finish the paperwork, get the car and off you go!
What's your favorite spot in Ishigaki🏝️? And would you consider traveling to this island in Okinawa🏖️?
That view from the glass bottom boat was ABSOLUTELY mesmerizing.

Okinawa is a breath of fresh air and the ocean is your companion for all your travels! Did you enjoy some Shiquasa juice?
Very informative video i must say. Great job Ernest!
Wow, the water in the bay so clear.
Wow that water clarity is amazing, but I would probably spend my whole day trying all the different ice cream flavours!
That's something I would totally do too. Too bad there's no AYCE for ice cream.
