Beautiful, well trained horses, the training and hard work to accomplish this is really amazing! Thankful these folks keep this tradional hard work alive! Wish i could've been there!
I’m an old man, now. My dad used to get a break from school and go to my mother’s father’s farm. He would plow with Tony, a half breed Thoroughbred/ draft. As he walked, holding the plow, I would walk behind him, trying to step into his foot prints in the dirt. He would say, Gee and Haw, to keep the good horse straight. Mom always complained because I’d get the red dirt all over me. Dad’s stride was much longer than mine and I’d have to scoot over the big wave of dirt that laid over. But, I was plowing and hollering, gee and haw, just like my daddy. Grandpa had a tractor but refused to use it in the garden. He didn’t like how it packed the soil. Sweet memories.
Nice show; I watched it twice on RFD-TV. I agree with the gentleman who likes to have a tongue on his riding plow; it's safer. Unfortunately not too many young people among the plow-men/women. Mentioning the latter, I think the lady walking alongside the Fjords had something to do with them, and wasn't a visitor, right?

August 2023, that field is indeed a nice little patch of corn. I drive past it every Tuesday.
