Thanks, Andy, this is just the tonic I needed. With temperatures even here in the south of the US struggling to get above freezing, with the bikes (and the 77 Mini) languishing in the garage this week, your video is just what we needed. Thanks again.

Many thanks for another great video, the 360 is giving some good footage. I’ve ridden down to the Faro Rally and Portugal is a great country to travel through, when you get up into the villages in the mountains it’s like going back in time. When we were in Goa they were telling how they were a Portuguese colony until they were freed by India in 1960ish,
Here is the fix for the visor. Obtain an O-Ring that will fit in the visor mechanism on both sides. About 1 1/2” in diameter and 1/16” thick. Remove the visor and insert the o-ring, reinstall the visor. The extra friction will hold it open. You can still close it but you will need to move it manually.
Well I don’t know what roads you went on in Portugal 🇵🇹? But I found them fantastico, up in the mountains it’s awesome, the same as Spain , I live here and 90% are mind blowing
I've done Northern Spain and Portugal for the last two years and again this coming May .. its amazing, you need deep pockets for a trip using this method though of fly -ride .. I'll stick to the Santander ferry and using my own GS 🙌
I live 10mins away from Vidigueira and after 3 years here can testify to the great roads locally. It's good weather usually to get out on on my VFR800fi but even in the dry those cobblestones aren't nice especially 2 up!. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your time in Portugal.
Great tour 'vid' ,interesting comments on the visor and ventilation with your Schuberth C5, I've done most of my touring in the warm sunny parts of Europe and always use a flip front lid (C4 Pro) other than when I am doing high speeds on motorways I very rarely ride with the lid closed , I leave the flip front locked in the up position and either use the sun visor or my sunglasses to keep the wind and sun glare out of my eyes, its the only way to travel 😀
To be fair Andy, I had the Schuberth for about 6 months. Really wanted to like it. But the “safety” auto closure ended up being a complete dealbreaker for me. Swapped to a Neotech 2 and have never looked back. To me its an even better helmet and even more comfortable.
Yes it's always slippery on the roads after a dry period when rain falls. Oil comes to the surface , plus as you say cobble stones are slippery when wet.
Spain and Portugal, lovely places to ride a bike, done a few thousand miles in both but not lately. Note to self, need to go back😎🏍 PS. Surprised Mrs. Flyer didn’t take a dip in the lake.
This looks like another great trip ! I'd have to deposit that helmet in the trash 🗑 ,that shield not staying up isn't a good feature. I take my shield off in the summer and put it in the top case for those times I may need it.
My C4Pro has the same safety feature. Good in the cities though. Enjoying your heated video as it's 4°F in NE Ohio. Thanks for the tag-a-long and the dialogue. Seems as if I'm riding shotgun. Enjoying seeing countries that I'll never get to. Hope you enjoyed a brew or two at the pool. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
A bullet of blu tack pushed into the visor reveal will keep the visor open an inch or so. I do that for one of mine that can't take a pinlock and it gives a flow air in to stop the visor fogging in damp or rain.
Very nice video to start the day. Spanish roads wise I'd say they don't have the inclement weather in the area you visited that we do here in England. Traffic density is much less too which is evident from watching the video.

Sadly no - we had a long day on the bikes and didn’t get to see Évora itself which was such a shame, same goes for Cascais and Sintra. I guess that’s the issue on this type of organised tour.
Man, when it gets hot like that, i use water over my head and into my gear. Then as i ride on the evaporation keeps me cool until i dry off. I then stop, rinse and repeat. I stay comfy and cool. Not exactly fashionable but effective. I use the technique in the summer across south west USA. Even in Colorado or South Dakota. It can get smokin hot.
