It took me three tries and a nap before I could enjoy this video full of joy, inspiration and beauty. I have an infection that bothers my eyes so much that I end up taking out my contacts and resting my eyes for an hour or so. Any way, that was a lovely trip down your memory lane. I also don't like using hot glue when crafting when I was making seashell wreaths and trees I used just enough hot glue for the instant grab but plenty of craft glue for durability. I am looking forward to Christmas eve to see your 12 days of Christmas tags. Have an awesome day, thank you!
Oh dear... I'm glad you made it in the end, but sorry to hear about your eyes - that's not good. I do like the sound of the nap though!! Yes, a glue gun can be useful for the instant contact, but I don't think it's a long-term proposition - I think you've found the best way to make the most of it. You have a great day too, and I hope your eyes are a bit better by this time next week.
Love the cello tape core with the little houses, I’m going to start saving mine from work, I have a fascination with houses, I have a porcelain house collection for the winter holidays on my credenza, & I love the little Tim holtz houses, any stamp sets with houses must be added to my collection as well. I especially love modern & Nordic style houses.
@nedanashu5025 So happy that you like the sellotape idea - and how lucky to have a source of supply at work! Little houses are somehow very enticing, aren't they? And I speak as the daughter of a lifelong dollshouse collector and maker! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Again many more beautiful things! It is a delight to see you rediscover these old creations, which are one of the little trèsors, and I imagine so many memories of the past noêl. Thank you for sharing all of that 💖💖💖
Yes, it's amazing how something you've made can take you on a sort of time-travelling journey, remembering and rediscovering. Very happy you enjoyed today's unpacking - thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment.
I’m never throwing away a cardboard tape roll again! 🙃 I just moved ALL the way across North America from the Pacific to the Atlantic, used a ton of tape rolls in the process. and saved precisely none of them!!!!! 🤦♀️ 😣 What a missed opportunity!!! I love that during your big move you DID think to save them so we could enjoy seeing your cute creations with them today. You are a true artist Alison. 🙂 Merry Christmas! 🎄
Oh no! All those tape rolls... I'm so sad!! In fact, I think I made that house trio DURING the packing process (craft supplies were left until last, obviously)... a break in the endless sorting, wrapping and boxing-up. Hope you're enjoying your new Atlantic location, and happy you found some festive joy here today. Thanks so much, as always, for your company and brilliant comments.
@ Thank you Cousin Alison! You always have a kind reply to your viewer’s comments and make astoundingly useful and beautiful content. In addition to being a brilliant artist you are incredibly generous. And yes, I am loving life so far on this side of North America. Having only ever lived in California & Hawaii, it is interesting to be in the Eastern Time Zone and experiencing winter for the first time. Snow! ❄️ It’s beautiful and magical. Awe inspiring. I even enjoyed the shoveling. Totally worth it to see snow on the tree branches. We live in a forest so I have a forest view out of every window and deer, squirrels, and birds (Cardinals! & Woodpeckers mainly) abound. H.D. Thoreau would approve. Come to think of it……it’s like living in one of your birch tree tags. 😂 It’s brilliant!!! 🌲 🦌 🐿️ 🪶❄️🌨️❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy Hanukkah 🕎 and Happy New Year 🎆 to you and Cestina!!!!!
Thank you so much for your beautiful compliments and your festive greetings. Happy to hear you are settling in and shovelling snow already, and yes, what a joy it is to have a white Christmas! Still no snow to speak of here... there's been some snowfall, but nothing settling. It used to be pretty guaranteed here that there would be significant snow at some point over the winter, but with the changing climate, nothing is guaranteed any longer. Seasons Greetings to you and yours, and here's to a peaceful 2025 (we can only hope).
Woweeeee, walking in a gorgeous wintery vintage shabby wonderland. How wonderful they would look on a Christmas tree. I mean I can’t say anything better than that. Very pleasing to my eyes❤
Hello Alison! Thanks for bringing us along for another unboxing of your delightful projects. I especially loved the round pieces which are so unique - I can see why they’re part of your year long decor. I’ll certainly look forward to part 3 on Christmas Eve. Have a wonderful week! 🙂
Yes, they live on the top shelf (which is really very high up) through the year, and then get swapped to a more prominent position around about now. Hope you're almost ready for the Christmas onslaught!
Such a wonderful holiday treat !! Always an inspiration with your great talents, stories n beautiful projects, so imaginative!! I wish ye a very HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON, sweet Alison ❤❤🎉🎉😊
So happy you enjoyed the festive unboxing... I had completely forgotten about some of the ones towards the bottom of the crate! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, and compliments of the season to you too!
Hello Alison! Everything is so beautiful! I love those little pillow boxes! And you’re definitely a true crafter - I’ve never thought to save inner sellotape rolls, I will now!,
The trouble with that is that you end up never throwing ANYTHING away, which is not so good space-wise! But yes, sellotape rolls are definitely worth hanging on to. Thanks so much, as always, for your company and lovely comments.
Oh, I'm pleased to hear you managed to track some down... and even happier to know that it was worth the effort and that you love it! Hope you'll have a great time playing with it.
Lots more ideas and inspiration, so thank you again. I particularly like the sellotape inner decoration idea, which is really versatile. I need to look out for little items to nestle inside now... I'm looking forward to your Christmas Eve instalment.
Yes, keep your eyes peeled... all kinds of things could be added to the sellotape reels. And of course they don't have to be Christmas-based... flowery ones for spring, leafy ones for autumn with acorns and pinecones... whatever you fancy. So happy you enjoyed today's unpacking, and thank you so much for your company and comments.
They are such fun to play with - well worth saving... and it's so nice making something out of things most people think of as waste! Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
Happy you enjoyed it. As you probably gathered, these are all older creations, so I hope you'll explore more on the channel to find some more up-to-date creations. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Happy you found your way here - welcome! And I'm delighted you enjoyed diving into the festive storage crate today. As you probably gathered, lots of these are older creations, so I hope you'll enjoy exploring the channel to find some more up-to-date work! Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
What a lovely treasure trove. Such pretty work. Do you sell your art? Just curious as they are so unique. Thanks again for sharing Alison, I really look forward to your videos. You are very inspiring ❤️🇨🇦
So happy that you continue to find inspiration here, Helene - thank you for another lovely comment. I'm not really set up for selling, no. It's something I've thought about at various times, but it's really far more complicated than one thinks as soon as you look at the logistics of postage and packaging and taxes in different countries and so on and so forth. Maybe I'll get to it one of these days, but it will require quite a lot of time and energy which is just not available for admin at present!

Thank you so much for that lovely comment, which put a big smile on my face. I hadn't really thought of hanging them on a tree.... hmmmm!
These are just delightful! I love your use of the empty tape rolls. So very clever! Thank you for sharing. ❤🎄
Thank you - yes, I was so happy when I worked out what I could do with the rolls... especially after taping up all those moving boxes!

I finally got a hold of your tissue paper. Everyone was out of stock. I absolutely love it, especially the berries on it.

What size tags do you use.
I found the size in your last video...😅
