RP is in total synchronicity with the universe, that's his secret, don't tell him I spilled it. I still think of him as Percy, altho I hear he hates that name. ☺💙🎶
Robert, I love these podcasts! I have always liked knowing the back stories of songs espicially my favorites. Thank you for all the beautiful music thru the years. I have been a big fan since I was 13 and have followed your career. I feel I've grown with you in my musical tastes. Saw you a few weeks ago in Philadelphia a real highlight! And Im sooooo excited to see you again in NYC first row!!!!!! again thank you for the music and sharing it with us!!!
The duets with these wonderful singers are always amazing. From Sandy to Patti, Alison and Suzi, they're all so beautiful voices. And this incredible journey through different styles is just wonderful.
Robert I'm gonna miss you you're will always be my hero along with Freddie Mercury. You lift my moods, especially with In The Mood, 29 palms and recently searching for my baby, my favorite songs from your catalogue
Many thanks for doing the podcasts, always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for all the years of joyful sounds you've brought to our ears...lol I finally had a chance to see him this summer, an Oct 6th event ,was cancelled I guess, ( knowing my luck the place burned down) I'm thanking everyone who put their videos on Ytube so we could catch these shows.. Much love & gratitude....Cheers to Robert & Alison on a great & successful tour 🌹💥🌹 🖤 Kris IL 🦋
Had to miss the Grand Prairie show due to surgery and I was devastated but this podcast is very much appreciated from a young fan like me one day I hope to still see the legend in person ❤🤘🏻
Again it always amazes me how much knowledge Robert has regarding all genres of music. This man is a treasure. Love to hear or hear about songs that have never been presented. Will be looking forward to everything you care to talk about. Take care.
Robert is pure class. Like his little nod to Page-y when he is talking about playing a country version of "rock n roll" ...he says "well you can't touch the master" as he refers to the guitar solo. Nice touch sir.
So sad that this is the last podcast. I love listening to them and hear Robert explain the stories of the music. He sounds so “Elvis-esque” in Too Much Alike. I wish he would do a country solo project, of course a few duets! (Hint-Chris Stapleton, for one). Robert loves covering different genres. Can’t wait to hear his next project, assuming it will be Saving Grace. Hoping more podcasts follow.
The most amazing voice ever. Each song has it's own characteristics. His range is just incredible!. Wow! To have lived and grown up, at the same time that Robert Plant was growing up...What a wonderful coincidence!
I just got kicked off the live chat. What I was saying was the I would REALLY love to hear those Berber women who sing like Cher that Robert’s spoken about Please do something wild like that! Matt, thank you for doing such a magnificent job the past three years on this series. You and Robert are a great match up. And of course, so grateful to Robert for his time and his sharing of these points in time of his musical (and sometimes, his personal) journey. …….As he says, through this long, old time
Love it!!!...I look forward to another series....it so wonderful to listen to you two chat..so charming.. How I wish I could be in the same room while you're recording!!......
Hey Robert, can I share a story with you, sir? One day I was driving home, when all a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
I’m a 67 year old die hard fan of yours! Your music from the past and the music you’re doing now with Alison is wonderful. Thanks for spending your life sharing your amazing talent with the world! ❤️
Mi adolescencia fue marcada por esa voz y cada sábado ir a ver la película. La canción es la misma! Hoy tengo 58 años y me siento una privilegiada de esos momentos en Buenos Aires Argentina 🎶🇦🇷
Still trying to get to one of your concerts Robert, Alison, not sure what concert I will wind up going to. Thanks Robert, thanks Alison, thanks for all you do to bring your amazing music, to the world, thanks so much you guys. ♥️♥️♥️
I saw you in the early 90's in a tiny venue in Noman, OK. OU. Honeydriers. About the size of a small school auditorium. Icant find anything anywhere that you wete even here. It was my most amazing adventure, one of my favorite memories I have ever had. And I can't see it. Before we were cell phone people. I had jut started college. Do you have anything you could help me with that? I know everyone says they love you, and I'm gonna say the same. I was so young when you became important. And you never ever leave me!! Funeral song, thank you. My first song on guitar, rock n roll. Blues baby! Well, did sunfest back ground for the circle, Bonham son. I just can't express my affection for you, your bands, your voice. Hope u remember being at OU. Prosper with integrity, love all you possibly can, and remember that it feels better to give. I hope u have something on that concert. It was so small. It was my absolute favorite of all ever and forever!
So very sorry to have missed you in Syracuse this past June... GOD Bless and GOD Speed, dear Robert Plant. So blessed to have you share you and your great talent & heart with all of us.
Robert, It saddens me that you are not happy with your years with Zeppelin. Even today so many of the new generation have been discovering the music and fall in love.. Not just young kids but, people who are professionals like music teachers and such. They find, just as we did so long ago, that the music was poetry in many ways and the music was so much more then just 'hard rock'. I enjoyed all the various styles andb experiments you four did. I, as a blues fan always loved your blues. I know that losing your son and Bonham has left bad memories and such but, that is just part of life. I have lost a son myself. But, I know, as painful as it is, that it is what is life. Good and bad. Your dislike of Stairway saddens me. It was the soundtrack of my high school years. And today I listen to it and still find it sheer poetry and beauty. I also find Kashmir to make me feel the way the blues do. Such an emotional journey. Don't turn your back on your past and your music. It was amazing and still is all these years later. That is a testament to the art of your music. They deepness and the journey you take people on still.
He's woice is over the moon and back.my brothers got my evening snacks and I got to listen LED Zeppelin was 7 years old then... never ever forgot that feeling and music took me in heaven and still do it when ever I listening he's music . OMG
So many songs after Led Zeppelin: Ship of Fools, 29 Palms, Tall Cool One, Rainbow, If I Were a Carpenter, Most High, Tie Dye on the Highway, In the Mood, Carry Fire.
This was a great ending episode for another wonderful series of 'Digging Deep'! Thank you so much for all your fantastic music, Robert! Also, Matt is an extremely well trained and charismatic host! Much respect to him as well! All the best, much health, take care, stay safe, many blessings, and great peace your way! God bless you both and everyone reading this! P.S.: Can't wait to listen to series 6 this autumn! I am very certain this podcast still has a long way to go and I am very grateful for the fact that I am one of its devoted listeners! Rock on, Planty! 😊🤘
I consider RobertAnthonyPlant more of a Poet/Philosopher , or Philosopher/ Poet than merely a lyricist, songwriter, especially after LZIII, he gravitated beyond a rock lyricist..., he offered concepts, on life, relationships, spiritual renewal, pushing beyond the physical, into existential soul discovering blueprints of self awareness. ( Rhett Athan Bartha)
I hope these keep coming! So soothing and so many brilliant little points of light in the episodes. I feel they add great value and keep the magic wheels spinning~*! I used to dream of traveling to that festival.. where you sang with Ali Farka Toure by the firelight. I read articles about the immense trek that festival required.. a commitment of soul 💓. Thank you for sharing these... this song is brilliant, as are all involved... Love from a sunny backyard in sf❤️
There's no one like Robert Blant .want to see him on live onse on my lifetime.working on night shift and have a break soo excited to listen to his woice.
He hasn't even commented on Big Log or Ship of Fools. Greatest Gift and Come Into My Life was something else, oh and ... Wonderful One. His version of Song To The Siren was also exquisite. Then there's the ones that shouldn't have worked, but did... Watching You, Thru With The 2 Step... then just the solid solid rock of Anniversary and Tye Dye On The Highway.... the Zep ballads, Rainsong and Thank You. The midtempos, Gallow's Pole and Over The Hills And Far Away...
Was watching Roseanne Cash's doc about Bobbie Gentry, there was a clip of a duet she did with Jody Reynolds called "Requiem for Love", I just listened to the whole thing and it's clear as day (to me) that it's a perfect fit for you and Ms Kraus 😁. No doubt you'll never see this, plus I'm probably wrong, but it was too important not to mention, lol.
Please know that we look forward to this beautiful, intimate and informative podcast - so enjoy your break but please carry on when you’re ready. Glastonbury was fab!! Looking forward to seeing you on Strictly (lol). Take care and thank you Robert.
I think it starts in just a few minutes. Hopefully I wont be sidetracked between now and then and miss the entire show. I'm capable of doing that, walk off and miss the entire show, woww
Nothing can make me think less of Robert plant. But, I have a question, since we are digging deep. So Robert Plant, what's with the whispering duets? I hear you have been performing solo plus a band in england . I watch your videos and I wish I was in England!! Omg! You are timeless and sexier that ever! So why? Why in America is it you and Allison, who nooné heard of before you? Is it happy wife happy life? I love you Robert Plant. but I feel cheated and jealous I guess. But come on, anyone can see how far you have to hold back to make these duets work. You can out sing an orchestra, and blow the roof off Wembley and the cow palace. And don't talk about those jeans, you are a fine wine. There will never be another Robert Plant. ❤❤❤❤❤ Kandy from North California
Dance lessons? Wow!! What kind of dance lessons? Can you practice with Me? :) Please continue these podcasts. Thank you so much for them. I have to admit I have a lot of catching up to do. Love you guys!!
@Robertplant-private I have read that before, they were all impersonators/scammers. For the record, I'm having tech issues so I don't get to read all replies here
I love how hehas experimented with so many genres of music over the years. But I always thought it would be cool if he came back to rock and did a duet with Ann Wilson from Heart. 🔥🔥
I was lucky to meet Mr. Plant in the late 80s.. He came into my family's jewelry store in carefree AZ. My brother was working that day and he called me to come down and help him. I walked in and saw Mr. Plant and the one was extremely fitting. Tall, thin and cool. My brother asked, who is this guy? I recognize him but couldn't place him. So I told him and saw he was buying a couple of knives we carried. Beautiful knives by an artist named Ghost town who used unique stones in his work. From antique silver coins to dinosaur bone. I don't know if they were gifts or for his own collection but he got some knives we all drooled over. He was incredibly nice and gracious as I recall. Not what I was use to since we did have quite a few celebrities come to carefree back in the day.
Love watching you on stage, I would love it if you could come to Memphis or Little Rock. Been listening to you since 1969, Whole Lotta Love. Seeing you in person is on my bucket list. ♥
So glad there will be more! I'd love to hear the tape of RP and Ali Farka Toure singing around the fire or more unreleased tracks. It'd be cool if this became a traveling podcast too with RP showing the song from where it was inspired. But he'd have to keep his current special places hid or people would go there looking for him.
After a challenging two years, I'm just catching up with these podcasts - albeit out of sequence - amazing stuff, thanks✌️😊 I was lucky to catch the 1985, Carl Perkins, Blue Suede Shoes, Rockabilly Session, at Limehouse Studios, on TV a few months back. Okay it was a bit cheesy in parts, but I enjoyed it second time around. I remember it the first time around, I wanted to be playing my own stuff back then but I was in a C&W band (trying to play guitar and keep up - thinking I knew better and wanting to stomp on an overdrive pedal for everything). One fella, was from the deep south, told me how he'd, as a boy, hammer nails into the veranda boarding, tie bailing wire between them and play slide guitar. He was so poor. God I'd love to play with those fellas again, I didn't learn nearly enough from them, I was a foolish, arrogant, youngster. Robert's music, Led Zeppelin's music is always my go to place. Thank you for that gift. I watched Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (at Glastonbury) on TV, superb. I thought that their arrangement of "The Battle of Evermore" was wonderful, divine even. San Grael, Holy Grail; or Sang Rael, Royal Blood? 🤔🤔👽🛸😄✌️ Watched Robert on the BBC documentary "Robert Plant By Myself" - was that really 2010? - on after the 2022 Glastonbury screening. 2010 - where does all the time go? I really loved the legalise pot photo - where the heck did RP get the mayoral chain from?🤔😄✌️ My brother introduced me to Led Zeppelin via Zeppelin IV (and to Robert's music via "The Principle of Moments"), it freaked me out at first, but, like all good music, it took three listens and I was hooked. Then I bought Led Zeppelin II, mainly because of "Whole Lotta Love" etc etc. Then came my first electric guitar and it was down hill from there😄 But in reality in the late 1970s, 1979 iirc, as a kid I heard something, on the radio, from "In Through The Out Door", I can't recall which track but I knew that I liked it. Although I was into New Wave etc back then, my mum had eclectic tastes and mum was into Rock & Roll, plus country and rockabilly etc, she loved music. My first time on stage - my parents couldn't persuade anyone to babysit me - was at a Marty Robbins gig. After an interlude, the drummer rushed down the isle, grabbed me and took me up on stage, mum was over the moon😄😄 There's always a strange synchronicity between me and Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant too. I was working in Kidderminster in early 1988, we had the radio on. "Heaven Knows" came on but I didn't hear the beginning. Soon I was thinking, "yh I like this new Robert Plant track (I recognised the vocalist), good stuff" then I thought "wait a minute, that sounds like Jimmy Page on guitar - this a great track!". I know Robert said he didn't think that some of his 1980s music, shall we say, stood the test of time (to paraphrase), but "Now and Zen" is still a favourite album of mine - I hope that Robert can look back on that album with fondness too (it still feels like yesterday that I first heard it but a lot of water has passed under the bridge and friends have gone home since). I'd saved up for another guitar and a couple of months later went to Hanwell (Peter Cooks et al) to buy one. The guys in the shop were always great (one guy was Jimmy Page's guitar tech at one time and was very kind to me when I had issues with one guitar), I digress, I walked in and one of the guys was playing "Ship of Fools", amazing talent. Then there's the time, we decided to explore Mid/North Wales (I'm part Welsh). We visited Pennal (Cwrt to be more precise) a village in Gwynedd, on the north bank of the Afon Dyfi/River Dovey, near Machynlleth. We kept returning to North Wales year after year - made contact with a few adepts and esotericists, who've become good friends, wonderful times. It then dawned on me that I was following in Robert Plant's and Jimmy Page's footsteps in that area. Of course being a fan of Tolkien, Lawhead et al and Zeppelin, made a magical place become even more so. Also on the paternal side my ancestors - via Ireland (Irish monks) - brought a hybrid, Egyptian, Coptic (Eg a full fat Bible not the whittled down dogma of the James 1 Bible) gnostic form of Christianity to Southern England (Glastonbury, Bath, Gloucester, through to Droitwich, Rutland) and melded it with the local religion, forming a Celtic type of Christianity (some 50 years before the RC Church brought Christianity to Al-bion [the land of the white chalk cliffs]). On that side of the family they claimed descendancy from Odin via Thor (I should be so lucky, I'm a poor as a church mouse🙄🙄😄). But if atop of the chalklands, the Ridgeway, with a Zeppelin track in my head, the wind blowing, I can almost hear and feel my ancestors - that's how powerful music is, it seems to transmute the time and place. In addition, the notes within Celtic music hark back to those desert lands - and beyond. Thank the Lord, for the music of Led Zeppelin, and Robert Plant too, truly authentic (to use modern parlance). Eg the synergy in Led Zeppelin, was heaven sent imho.✌️✌️

Folks in Chicago from New Orleans will confirm your gift and laugh at themselves as they move to Cali! Crying won't help ya.... When mountains and Sun start to tremble and shake. So far so good but I see your hair is burning...oh sorry RIP Jim. Plant Krauss is luminescent I couldn't see it but when I see it I can't believe it. It would be nice if Robert could show us around where he grew up and where he and Bonham commiserated when they were young.

Please continue these podcasts. Thank you so much for them. I have to admit I have a lot of catching up to do.
Love you guys!!
@Robertplant-private hello, you are welcome, that is IF you are indeed Robert Plant?
The odds are very slim that you are legitimate.
@Robertplant-private I have read that before, they were all impersonators/scammers.
For the record, I'm having tech issues so I don't get to read all replies here
@@heyjenknee it’s an imposter scammer he contacted me too. He just made the profile 2 days ago
Looking forward to catching up with you in Perth this November. Enjoying the podcast!
Love watching you on stage, I would love it if you could come to Memphis or Little Rock. Been listening to you since 1969, Whole Lotta Love. Seeing you in person is on my bucket list. ♥
Yeah Robert Plant is a great singer and he will always be missed, okay tell me how long have you been an Robert Plant fan?
❤❤❤Robert❤❤❤
Listening RP is dreamy...💜🔥
Thank you...
Nice set at glasto bob 👏
So glad there will be more! I'd love to hear the tape of RP and Ali Farka Toure singing around the fire or more unreleased tracks. It'd be cool if this became a traveling podcast too with RP showing the song from where it was inspired. But he'd have to keep his current special places hid or people would go there looking for him.
Don't wait too long for another series, ok?
After a challenging two years, I'm just catching up with these podcasts - albeit out of sequence - amazing stuff, thanks✌️😊
I was lucky to catch the 1985, Carl Perkins, Blue Suede Shoes, Rockabilly Session, at Limehouse Studios, on TV a few months back.
Watched Robert on the BBC documentary "Robert Plant By Myself" - was that really 2010? - on after the 2022 Glastonbury screening. 2010 - where does all the time go? I really loved the legalise pot photo - where the heck did RP get the mayoral chain from?🤔😄✌️
My brother introduced me to Led Zeppelin via Zeppelin IV (and to Robert's music via "The Principle of Moments"), it freaked me out at first, but, like all good music, it took three listens and I was hooked. After an interlude, the drummer rushed down the isle, grabbed me and took me up on stage, mum was over the moon😄😄
There's always a strange synchronicity between me and Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant too.
If he doesn’t get it out the youthful generation will loose a wonderful definition of what it means from the heart .
Robert Plant благодарю за трансляциию. Всех благ.
With a little more work Roberts going to go places.
Thanks for the podcasts.
Robert , luvvvv it 🥰🎤🤗
Yeah Robert Plant is a great singer and he will always be missed, okay tell me how long have you been an Robert Plant fan?
@@steveford9519 since October 2021 when I discovered him through Alison Krauss, I find him captivating and can’t really explain why other than his intellect intrigues me. I also see that you ask everyone the same question.
@@princesscarla2089 yeah I do but I have stop it but I seem you are nice woman and if you don’t mind if we can be friends and I’m sorry if you think am asking the same question to everyone....
Robert Plant sua carreira solo é excepcional👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
When your music comes from the souls of your feet... And your presence from those your feet can hear even if you can't see them... It's almost like when Lena Horne was singing with that woman from Wizard of Oz I couldn't believe it on television when I saw it. I can't remember her name what was her name...? Jodie Foster?
