Putting this comment out for anyone curious, the extended dps phase seems to be from shooting the 4 operator panels quick enough before the boss reforms after suppressing it in the arena above. This has mostly worked for my group and I've seen talk about this in the speedrun panel but I'm not sure if it is 100% confirmed yet
I have tried exactly what you do on the servitor and i din't understand how to replicate it, it would help to make my early game fast and not spend an hour to die in atraks

Basically, freezing the boss at just the right time interupts the animation which splits the boss into the smaller servitors, which prevents the dps-phase timer from starting properly
Think there's any potential for Alethonym being used when speedrunning? Chain jumping with the new titan boots can give you a LOT of speed, comparable to eager jumps(if not being better when there's walls to chain a bunch of jumps with)
Would it be worth it to dupe first bomb for final boss damage then grab op and bomb from first room to then instantly start the clone phase for bomb room 2? cuts out scanner in room 2 completely.
Maybe. If I had to guess he doesn't since the bomb slows you down so much, and he saves more time just quickly flying over. Plus there's the risk of radiation killing you between the bomb and the minibosses
I guess you can win some times with the radiation at the last boss, duplicate the radiation ball for the next room and cross finger for door of chamber open.

Other than the Ogre in Warlords ruin I don't think we've had a damage phase nearly as long as this boss and it's absolutely wild that a solo one phase doesn't seem possible.
what you did wasnt a death to load, it was just hitting a load from OOB, which forces you to a "proper" location in the load if you arent moving quickly (?). still counts as solo flawless i think
@TheZombie462 he could, yes. But that's not what he's practicing. Also bungie selected the teams for the race already, it's been predetermined who is in it and who is not. He was not selected, so even if he were to practice for the race, he isn't going to compete.

The real reason infinite dps phase happens is when you finish op panels before he is reformed also suppressing for dps quickly

You have to shoot all 4 panels while the boss is still split up, insta kill the suppressor shank and supress the boss quickly after

they were using ergo sum with heavy swords for movement so that used up the weapon exotic

If you shoot the 4 operator panels really quick (around before the boss reunites into 1 big boss) it seems to trigger an infinite dps phase
