Louis Armstrong recorded What a Wonderful World in 1967. It was a hit single in the UK, but not so much in the US. The song was featured in the closing scenes of the radio & TV shows The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In 1988, Armstrong's recording appeared in the film Good Morning Vietnam, despite the film being set in 1965 - two years before it was recorded. This arrangement by Russ Foris was performed by the (awesome) 2008 International Barbershop quartet champion OC Times. I sang it a half-step lower than they did.

What a beautiful arrangement. It's got a different feel to it than the original, but both are very good in their own way.

Haha :) I carefully pick the arrangements I sing. Being a Baritone places me right in the middle of the male voice spectrum, so I'm comfortable singing from low G to high E without discomfort. I can manage a little lower occasionally for the Bass (low F) and a few occasional high notes for Lead (high F, no more). The Tenor part is sung with a very light falsetto, so anyone can pull that off. :)

There are quite a number of minor chords in this song that every barbershop chorus singing this song needs to be aware of. It is especially prevalent where the basses, baritones and tenors have the rolling bell tones.
