      Perfect way to start my day! Thank you. 💯🔥 With almost 5k videos created I have been practicing for a while. =) I also taught middle school STEM and was able to watch kiddos use my tutorials. When I listened to where they were stuck... I could find better words to make the concepts make sense. Thanks for the note and have a great 4th!

    Did you use supports in bambu studio? I ddin't see that. I'm printing one right now, but I have a feeling that the inside part of the name is going to fail/string out since it has nothing underneath. In other words, the bottom is not directly attached to the inner name. Thanks for the awesome video.

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  Місяць тому

      I did not use supports. Mine was small enough that the stringing was minimal. Which printer and filament are you working with?

    Your videos are brilliant and thanks for all the help! Maybe you can help me with how to print backlit text on a panel? I am building a Boeing 737 simulator and so far I have not found a good solution to this problem. The panels are 5mm thick and have cutouts for switches and buttons, the texts are engraved in real life. The text can be printed (despite its small size) but if I want backlighting it is more problematic. What I'm trying to do now is to cut the text out of the panel, make a copy of it with white color but only fill the top layer with this, 0,5mm thick. For the bottom layers I would need a clear filament, but I don't know if I can mix normal PLA and PETG transparent types?

    How would you do that so the back will come off to put LEDs in it. Also is there a way to have the front all the same hight but be able to make the letters different colors.

    Thanks for your video. I want to make some name plates. How do I get the special features to make the offset? I only see Default in the Shape Fill Mode section. I’m using an iPad - would that be why?

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  3 місяці тому +1

      I would guess that your SVG was not the solid shape that I chose. When using pick SVG I always pick internal number two and that gets me all the options.

      Thanks tons for that clue!!!! I do not work with my iPad enough to have thought of that. I will add it to my mental list of why the options do not show up. I will also poke the devs and see if they can fix it. Features should not be available for just one platform.

    And thinker can if I have a different font can I import it to Tinker cad

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  5 місяців тому

      There are tutorials for adding fonts to Tinkercad. I prefer making the text I want in a separate program (Canva, etc) and then bringing it in as an SVG. The inner line, outer line, and silhouette features are priceless!

    When i slice it in prusa slicer i get a stabilitie warning long bridge extrusions. Why dont you get that warning cause it's not filled in between bottom and top? Great tutorial again

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  7 місяців тому

      Thank you. I’m not sure about the warning. I have not messed with any settings in Bambu slicer. Just disabled the prime tower and swapped qualities. With my sign only being about 12 cm I’m not sure my spans were ever that long.

    • @HLModTech

      It is a good question. The way I like most is to make each piece separate. I do a version of it for this creation. ua-cam.com/video/jfdDaCmiyow/v-deo.html I just chose to leave the back of the keychain solid.
