3 minutes to fix a problem I had for over 6 months! Just cleaned the contacts, pulled a bit the coils and back to pleasure! Great stuff and thanks a bunch!!!
You’re a genius, it took me 10 minutes to fix and one tip: you can pull those small coils to make them a little longer so that they can firmly touch those circular pads. It’s the only thing that helped me. Thanks again man. Now I can study in peace after being so irritated.❤️❤️❤️
thank you!! my jbl tune 760nc headphones left side stopped working. i didn’t have anti-seize so i pulled out the springs a bit and now they work fine! only took like 3 minutes to fix because of you! seriously, thank you!
You are a life saver. My headphones have noise-cancelling but it broke on one side. Literally all I had to do was just push the ear-cup a little on the broken side so the springs could connect properly, they probably disconnected when it fell down or whatever. The uneven sound has had me bothered for months and now it's just gone in seconds.
After watching this video and learning that it was the springs that provided the connection, all I had to do was gently pull the springs and extend them a little. Only those who have experienced it know how annoying it is to hear sound from only one earphone from time to time. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! This tip solved the problem for my JBL Tune 500BT as well. For the 500BT the only difference in the procedure is how you open it, because the cushion pads are not attached to a removable plastic piece, the rest is the same. As other people, I opted for making the springs a little longer so that they attach with more pressure to the circular plates on the board. I scraped the plates carefully with a small screw driver to remove corrosion as I didn't have any kind of liquid for the job.
@@benoit9304 Just gently pull its edges off the slot. Once you pull one side, follow along the circle and it will come out easily. Pull the cloth only, don't try to remove any plastic piece during this process. Once you do it, you will see the screws you need to remove for this fix.
I just held the springs in place and pulled the end a little bit so that the springs make contact again. I guess they just didn’t connect to the golden contacts properly in my case. Just be sure not to rip the springs out!
Thank you man, You are a actual live saver....The case was on my right ear but I did same thing as you did to left ear without the anti-seize.And it worked, now my JBL 600BTNC works fine now thanks to you.
really good tutorial man. took me about 5 minutes to dissassemble, fix and reassemble my sets. I didn't expect it to work, however it did. Tip of a advice to anyone reading this comment, i recommend you pull the springs to elongate them a little.
This helped me just now, my daughter always played with my headset and one side stopped working... after watching this and saw that she might've knocked something out, I just knocked it back in lol
I didn't even think it would be possible to repair my faulty headphones. But that was so easy! Just pulled the springs out a little bit. Now they are working perfectly again. (I have JBL Tune 500 BT. With them you have to remove the ear cushions to get access to the screws.)
Hey, you mean the ear cushions? You can just gently pull them off. They are a little tricky to get back on. But you'll manage with a little patience. ;) Good luck!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was going to buy another pair and didn't want to. They fell off my head on the floor and the left side wasn't giving much sound. I followed your video, and even though it looked a little different inside, it works now!! Very useful video! 5 stars!
Thanks so much man. I freaked out a little bit after my left side stopped working. Opened it up and cleaned the two plates with cleaning alcohol and it works again
Thankyou for the very detailed on how to disassemble headphones. Works with my JBL 500bt, It worked even tho I didn't put any of the Anti Seize or Lubricant since I don't have any of those. I disassembled it and cleaned the two pads and tried to lossen the screws on the pads and it worked!. You earned a sub for saving my headphones. Cheers!
This was amazing. My JBL headset lost sound on the right side. I opened it up, cleaned the pads and gently pulled and extended those springs and hey-presto it fixed the issue. So so happy.
you’re lifesaver bro. though i didn’t have anti-grease so i just used a little bit of vazeline instead and pulled on the wires a bit gently, now same as new. thank you
I have a cheaper set of headphones with no wire connecting. I put the screws back on and they worked right away! There seemed to be no issue when I looked. thanks very much.
Great video! Really helped a ton! What i had was smudges on those copper circles so i had to use an eraser just enough for the copper to be cleaned. Just be careful around the area when rubbing them.
Amazing. I was just about to throw away my headphones. This video helped me fix it in a few minutes. I pulled the springs down a bit so they could make more contact.
Solved My JBL 450bt. I was doing some workout the forces of gravity pushed it to the floor at imprecise velocity of m² then the right side of my headphones stopped works. This video helped me. Now everything is working. PS: I use rubber to clean that area because I hadn't the sintilizer...
You have to rip off the soft fabric part, if you try to rip the plastic off, you'll break it. Also, when you unscrew the speaker, it won't be connected by cable but with springs, at least on the right ear. Hope this helps.
@@charlyhohmann hi, it's me again. I managed to open the speaker and i see the little cables and springs. what do i do now, please? i'm so sorry... I don't have anti-seize, is there an alternative to that?
Excelent video, i fixed mine in about 10 mins with these. I cleaned the connection point with a cotton swab damped in alcohol and it works like a charm
Right side went out in my case but it still worked for me even without anti seize!!! Just SLIGHTLY stretched the 2 springs to ensure a connection thanks again

Hi, I have JBL 600 BT and this is my problem: The headphones works with cable but when I turn on bluetooth mode they lose connection. As I saw, if I lay them on the table and dont move them, they are still on, but If I move the left side inwards, the connection loses. So I can't put them on my head.I have to mention that I've been having them for 3 years.I still love them so much. What problem do you think is it and what can I do to solve it.
Thank you soo soo much... It started working., I was in trouble form last few months, repair center says nothing left in it.. I repaired by my own i cant believe.. Huge love from India
Thanks, but I found an alternate way! Step 1: Use the AUD plug that came with the headphones Step 2: Plug it into anything (laptop, phone, etc.) Step 3: Play something on your device Step 4: Rotate the end of the cable that is connected to your device until the audio comes out from both sides This works with my JBL TUNE700BT all the time.
The brand on mine is not the same but thanks for showing me the way to open it. The magnets fell off my right earcup. Now that i put it back on its working. Thank you again!
Wow it really works! Thanks! Took a few minutes. Only getting the cushion back took some time on my TUNE 500BT, had to do it manually and used sticky tape to keep it in place, little DIY solution
I have the JBL PULSE 750. The left side went out after only a few months. Tried the thing with the springs and it worked! I was about to throw the headphones out! Thanks!!!!
Omg this has worked for me. I didn't have any cleaning material. So gently used screwdriver to give the 2 metal circle parts a clean and then moved the 2 springs out a little bit and my left side started working.
I have Sony WH-CH710n headphones, so they look a bit different inside, but I wasn’t able to find any loose wires-however, tucking a wire next to the magnet instead of over it made the sound start working for a minute, but it stopped working again as soon as there were heavy bass kicks/notes. Any idea what can be done here? Wonderful video, thanks.
Thanks for the tip! I have those headphones and the right side is scratching like crazy as soon as I touch them or move my head. I'm sure it's this very issue, oxidation on those connection pads. It sucks that they made them this bad but what can you do? No more JBL for me at least.
I have a problem with removing the earpad... Im trying to take it off, just like you did on the video. My headphones are also JBL (not sure exactly what but they look almost the same as yours)
