thank you for this! as someone who's never really used the command prompt, it seemed intimidating at first, but your video outlines the process cleanly and clearly. good job!
Holy heck I spent so long trying to figure this out, for some reason it was moving the CMD prompt into the folder that finally got it to work. Big thanks!
Thanks so much! I was able to rip a handful of my GBA games this way. Unfortunately, some of my favorites (like Kim Possible 2 & 3, Kids Next Door, etc) don't use the sappy engine. Maybe one day someone will be able to crack the other widely used GBA engines. For now, though, this is awesome! :D
Much appreciated! I'm trying to get some higher quality decompressions of Metroid Fusion (the ones online are missing things all over the place) so this will come in handy.
Thanks Gamer, This helped me get very far with what i'm trying to do, but sadly even with the soundfont ripped it doesn't sound quite right, any extra optional steps to tweak? And is there a way to batch convert all the songs at once?

Currently trying to rip Donkey Kong Country 2 GBA and Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA, however after doing everything correctly, it says no sound engine was found. So I’m guessing it doesn’t use Sappy?
So I downloaded gba_mus_riper and my computer keeps asking me how I want to open it but then telling me it cant no matter what I do. Not really a computer guy, any advice? Edit: patience is a virtue. Another question: does this only take music files, or sound effects as well? I'm looking for a specific voice line to put into a song and there are over 70 files to go through. Just don't want to spend time looking if the sfx files aren't included. Thanks in advance!
@@LugiaDaryl27 no problem! Your guide helped a lot with just learning how to mess with files in general, it was a lot of fun going through the whole process. Now I just need to locate the "Taiyoh!" file among all these Boktai sounds 😂

The game I'm trying to rip music from does not use Sappy. What do i do now?
