I've been hunting shiny trapinch for the past week. Sweet scent max, Leppas, occasionally teleport to closest pc for close to 10 hours a day, it's been dry as the desert im shunting in 😂

I remember starting my shiny hunting journey haha. It all started in Sinnoh when I saw a player walking around with a shiny arcanine. I whispered him and nothing XDDD. Then I saw him some time later and he actually responded to my fanboying. This motivated me to shiny hunt for a growlith on rt 7 in Kanto, where I got 3 shiny houndooms before finding my growlith. All in the same day XD. and yes, without donator. Noob luck is real!!!

Any advice for single encounter farming so I can try for a legendary at the same time? I’m assuming it’s not too complicated but really wanna be as efficient as possible! Will check out some other vids in the meantime, thanks!
One thing to note is if you become a shiny hunter some hordes will require leppas for time efficiency. It takes about 3,000 leppa berries to get 30k encounters and that still doesn't even guaranteed a shiny.
What is 5x hording is that a setting?
A great sweet Sweet Scent mon is Tropius it can learn fly, and be a great HM slave.

What do you do if you find a shiny in a horde? How do you catch it? Obviously throw pokeballs but do you just throw and hope you dont die to the horde?
you cant throw pokeballs until you clear out the other pokemon in the horde, so you have to have SOME sort of single target move to kill them and then spam pokeballs, OR use false swipe and spore to help catch but BE CAREFUL, USING FALSE SWIPE AGAINST A SHINY WITH, DOUBLE EDGE, TAKE DOWN or some other recoil move could cause it to KO itself. Understand what your going against and do a test run.

Does doing gym reruns or pay days and other stuffs halt our shiny hunting progress?

Not sure what you mean by "halt". The game itself doesn't track how many encounters you get and reward you with a shiny after 30K encounters. So you can shiny hunt whenever you please, the tracking is just to give you an idea for how long you've been doing it for.
The only reason I say yes is because it's not wild counters so you lose that chance. Doesn't mean you can't randomly encounter one during story mode though.
So I have been doing shiny meowth hunt for quite a time(since January 10th)now but didn't got one I have had 31k encounters so I am thinking I am doing something wrong, I do shiny hunting after doing the gym reruns and when I get bored I do payday I have been trying to say that does our encounters resets after doing other stuffs?
Really hard to explain probability and statistics via UA-cam comment especially since I don't know your level of math but here it goes. Firstly, let us assume the chance of a shiny is 1 in 100 and we're single encounter hunting for simplicity, and now let's approach this in reverse. You have a 99% chance to not encounter a shiny. The chance you not encounter a shiny twice in a row is 0.99*0.99 The chance you lose three times in a row is 0.99 *0.99 *0.99. The chance you lose 100 times in a row is 0.99 times itself 100 times. That comes to ~0.37. So, if your chance to not encounter a shiny 100 in a row is 37%, your chance to encounter a shiny at some point in your hunt is 63%. Now extrapolate that knowledge with the 1/30K chances. There are people pushing over 100K encounters and have yet to get a shiny, don't worry too much about the probability just keep grinding. tl;dr: Pokemmo doesn't track your encounters, so you can do a gym rerun and come back to hunting and nothing would be affected. To increase your chances of finding a shiny, grind a lot.

Thats a great question! Its because i have a surf ocarina which lets you use HMs without needing a pokemon in your party that knows them.

Can you have multiple Pokemon with sweet scent so you can reduce trips to a poke center?
No it will just deduct the PP by a %. You can only sweet scent a maximum of 6 times before needing to heal.

The horde amount and species depend on which location your at in game, learning all the locations can be take a LONG time and youll still never remember most off of memory.
