Nice to see that the USMC finally got a4blade Cobra & Huey too.., the T/Tow models always rode roughly & videos back in the day would be pretty shakey. Would like to visit HMLA -169 on My upcoming trip to California!
Hey! I've seen you guys fly over the RV resort we stay at by Parker Arizona and at Lake Havasu. I've always wondered if my boat was ever in the sights of one of your helo's! 😳 You can use me for practice anytime! Thank You for you service!
Thanks for the clarification!! What a wonderful song and band!!! I had only seen it as Linkin Park and wondered why I couldn’t find the song anywhere else.
There is a 1977 TAH-1 for sale thats based in Havasu. I wish I could win the lotto, I would buy it and do that flight everyday since Havasu is where I would move to anyway.
Growing up I built a lot of cobras, pretty much all S models of different scales. But when I finished my first 1:35 scale Ah-1w, I thought I was bad to the bone!!
DC-Bueno. They are 7565 Cobra pilots. There are not specific gunners both pilots are qualified to fly from either seat. Typically, the guy in the front seat is more senior and is running the objective area but that’s not always the case.
@@takingflight2437thank you for your service, i have one more question if you dont mind me asking. would you be able to go from enlisted to officer, and be a pilot that way? For example being a Crew chief then going to officer through ECP and being a pilot? I just thought you would know the answer as you seem knowledgeable
Absolutely, in fact there a a lot of Cobra pilots who are prior enlisted. There are many different commissioning programs and being prior enlisted helps get in to them.
@@takingflight2437 that is absolutely what i was hoping for. And would i need a college degree then in that case for ECP? And would i be able to fly fighters too? or just helis. And sorry, i am asking too much quesitons but you are the perfect person to ask for me
The Best Helicopter Ever Made.
Awesome video! From a veteran AH-1J USMC flight line mechanic mid 80's.
Mark Henderson glad you liked it. It was one of my favorite flights in the AH-1W!
Awesome just awesome. I am from lake havasu. We loved watching you guys. Going to miss it 😢
Super video. Thanks for posting a cool music/ helo video. Just started building a Viper model, new variant to the cobra.
Badass video, with a badass song! Great job.

God knows I would love to do this
i wonder what's on the boat drivers mind right now lol
i wished the heli-sound was hearable.

no you didn't
I wanted to hear the helicopter not a rock show....
Sorry dude, the song solidifies the awesome experience of flying that route. It was one of my most memorable flights out of my aviation experience.
Then go through flight school and make your own videos
COOL VIDEO!
Nice flight vid. Muted the noise, would have loved to hear the turbine.
Too bad you muted it. The last 5 to 10 secs are just the sounds from the helicopter. Thanks for watching!
wonder what IT sounds like ?
ETS 2 music intensifies
anybody know what the marines planning to do for cas after the whiskeys are retired?
The AH-1Z has already fielded the West coast and is starting on the East coast.
Zulu / Viper takes over CAS from Whiskey.
