Wiccan was my 2nd R3, now I have 27 and I can say he is by far my most regretted rank up. Right now he has my r3 6* ghost rider relic, and is sig 60, anything to boost his damage but it’s just too little. It’s so low that it actually hurts his utility due to the fact that your uptime on buff control depends on your ability to balance his spells and pausing, and the longer the fight goes the more likely it all comes crashing down in key matchups. On top of that they keep releasing serpent counters, and these counters are packed with so much utility and damage that each one invalidates wiccans existence more and more vs common class defenders, they have more damage, the same if not more utility, and usually have some other meta relevant matchup benefits. On top of that, on release he was a shaky defender due to torch and his fragile stats, I thought a 7r3 investment would help with this but it hasn’t, and the more science attackers they release and buff the more of a death sentence it becomes. And in the small pieces of content where Wiccan would shine (certain tactics and bg metas) he is consistently banned, and pre nerfed in many nodes designed to hit others (anti AAR nodes).
Fully agree with everything said here. I’ve had a 7 star Wiccan for the longest while yet I’ve never touched him because he’s just too squishy and his damage lacks a lot, also very easy for his ideal rotation to fall off
I personally think Gwenpool should be below Spider-Man because he does have taunt and suppression, but he also has decelerate which is a real big piece of utility against unstoppable and evade champs and it is very easy to keep and debilitate helps the debuffs last longer. Definitely more to hold than Gwwnpool.
I've already got R3 sig 80 IMIW. People think I'm crazy but dude just gets Ws in BGs on defense and some kills in wars as well. He also is decent if you need an Onslaught counter or mutant counter period. I think Wiccan is still really underrated. He can do so much damage and handles so many cosmics due to neutralize. I actually like fighting Thing with him in war because he stops the unstoppables and if Wiccan is duped, his SP2 does plenty of damage.
Spidey has that decelerate that shuts down unstoppable and evade too and his dupe lets him get 2 which gives it the 100% potency. I personally really like him and think he is underrated.
He has the same "problems" as other champions apparently: he's not fast enough for BG (which is just brainrot mindset). But he has 30% Supression, 100% Decelerate and 70% Debilitate. Not only that, but his Stuns, including the ones from the Parry Mastery, can't be reduced unless you called yourself a Skill champion. His Taunts are so good for power control too and he reduces Ability Power Rate by 50% every time the opponent is stunned. He has cool synergies with other champions that are also cool and he gains tons of new Webbing debuffs alongside on increasing his damage via webbing. I think he's cool, underrated and people just hate him cuz he can't take a fight in 30 seconds

Buffed OG Spidey is great with his utility. His damage only really shines for a short period of time (sp2 and then during the stun), and that’s a bit unfortunate. Another thing that kinda sucks is that he needs to be awakened to have any use (100% potency of decelerate and the other debuffs). Though, the Spidey 2099 relic makes him immune to dexterity buffs, and that is very useful in a lot of scenarios.
I agree that the utility is hugely improved with his Dupe. But the thing people forget about Decelerate is that it's a flat reduction: One stack of Decelerate completely shuts down any Evade with

@witchbl3d because that's what happens to those who wait the time we spend at thronebreaker building our accounts to do the content easier and spend less units shouldn't be punish for doing so just because Karam suckered you in to spending resources to do evergreen content the first couple months doesn't mean those who saved up and worked their asses off should be penalized for taking there time you reaped the rewards of paragon and valiant for what a year or more? I think you got more than rewarded for the effort you put in
And we don't get the same rewards as you except for the isophene the other 9 champions are 6 stars so you get 9 more 7 stars than we get more than fair for you guys at high progression levels
For the banquet event alliance rewards, was the cutoff Dec 6th to be in a new alliance or do you just have to be in the alliance for 14 days? Meaning if I went to a new alliance today I wouldn't be eligible until 3 days into the banquet event?
Very excited to use all the champs I have a pretty solid 7 star roster, but most of these champs I don’t have am never really used in my rotation. I’ll for sure be using storm to go alongside my maxed 6 star bishop. Gwenpool is cool so that should be fun, ima huge gambit fan wish he would get buffed since he’s an omega mutant in the comics. With Apoc synergy though that horsemen ability is very powerful. Vox was super fun to use as a six star so the seven star should have some insane degen. Ya ramble over overall excited for this and was super cool of Kabam to give these to us.
I gottta say Gambit is actually pretty insane even without horseman. If you have a 6* Gambit relic he crits about 70% of the time, and he's pretty reliable in BGs. Mines R3 and I'm super impressed with him
Og spidey makes baiting specials super easy, completely shuts down unstoppable regen power gain mystics. He’s like void for me in terms of low damage high utility, but more fun. (Yes I have void duped)
Spidey gonna need a DpX like buff. I find his utility pretty good. He just has no damage output outside of the sp2 stun. Wish he did. Also wish he had some type of defense. His evade is so easily shut down nowadays 😭 But his utility is def overlooked. I would like him to inflict an indefinite armor break for each webbing. So they also fall off but it can help dmg before sp2. And extra utility of having access to armor break which he had before the buff.
Spidy has a more utility than taunt and suppression. He has decelerate so he also counter unstoppable and evade. Plus his stun duration can't be reduced. Only problem is you need the dupe to fully shut off Evade and unstoppable. So a duped Gwen would still be higher than him but he does have more utility than just the two you listed
I just recently pulled a 7* Vox and wasn't really sure about him because i never really used him. After seeing this and knowing that i will be getting a dupe very soon got me excited. I need to learn how to use him now. 😅
this list kinda annoyed me at the start as my only rank 3s are og spidy and gwenpool but og spidey deserves so much more credit his dmg is very good and his utility is rly good for newer players w the taunts+ tankyness + extended stuns + can’t be effected by limber

I really like the Gwenpool, but it's sad that to be relevant she needs to be awakened. The 6 star awakened carried me through a lot of harder content cuz of the ability accuracy reduction ❤
