I know. I can't find it anywhere either. I downloaded it from a website years ago but I dont remember what site it was and I also doubt if the link there would even work anymore. However, I could download it to youtube if you want!
Dude your videos are absolutely incredible. Did you learn this on your own or did you take classes? Seriously, this is like a professional work of art.
I have some that I've learned during my editing: 1. Watch a lot of trailers and pay attention to how they are cut. I would say pay especially close attention to the audio and how the imagery flows with it. 2. Choose and cut music/audio first. Also choose something that you like so it's more fun to edit. The music will set the tone and pace of your trailer so this step is super important. 3. Pay attention to the rhythm of the music track. Try to get the picture match the rhythm. Time every big moment (e.g. explosions, punches) to match a beat. Timing even some small moments like someone closing their eyes to a piano note can work really well. 4. If you use dialogue, try to get clean one without any background noise. Sometimes this can be a challenge and depends on a lot of what kind of material you are working with. Most games have the option to turn down the music nowadays. For movies and shows it's important to get audio that is mixed in 5.1 so you can separate the center channel because the dialogue is always in center. 5. Simplify. Use dialogue which tells the story in a very simple manner. Stay away from slowing and boring details. This is obviously for trailers. Other kind of videos can have more details but even then I think you should try to explain things in the most simple way possible. 6. A trailer is usually cut in three acts. First, you introduce the characters/world. Second, explain a little bit more about the plot. Raise the stakes. Introduce conflict. It depends on a lot of the genre and style of the trailer what you should put here. In anycase, the second act should raise the stakes in a way that that the third act feels more satisfying. It's like a foreplay for the the third act. The third act in itself is usually very montage like. For example in this video I didnt use any dialogue during the third act so it was basically just pure video montage. The third act is really the part which should give the audience those chills. 7. A lot of the time when you are not sure how to cut a certain part in the timeline, you just have to trust your intuition and feelings. Choosing a music you like a lot will help with this.
He's back! Ah, but without the iconic theme... there's a website called Tabletop Audio with a track called Wierder Things, I bet you'd make good use of it. Not sure where the creator stands on using it in youtube videos, but it might be worth asking.
Pretty cool! May I ask: how did you get the footage for the trailer. When I make trailers I struggle to find HD footage with no watermarks on youtube to use for edit.
I'm guessing he pirates most of his actual footage and then just selects certain scenes - otherwise there's no real way to get a hold of the actual scenes in good quality apart from small snippets that are on youtube.
Hey your trailers are amazing. But also. I want you to was (and maybe remake) the worst trailer of all time. Annabelle Creation. It is the whole movie, with the whole plot, with the biggest jump scares. And it drives me insane. Thank you for making good trailers.
awesome, as always ! I have a question. The last song, diffusion, by lost orchestra, where does it comes from ? I can't find anything about the band, neither on google , youtube or else...
I changed it again because I don't think it was a good idea to use my real name because I'm finnish and my surname looks probably really confusing to foreigners.
This is better than the. Official 1st season trailer
OOOOOOOHHH, this trailer is the bee's knees, best video editor EU for sure 10/10.

I know. I can't find it anywhere either. I downloaded it from a website years ago but I dont remember what site it was and I also doubt if the link there would even work anymore. However, I could download it to youtube if you want!

Thank you! I have learned on my own.
That's insane. Do you have any tips for a noob?

Mikedits Thanks for your advice
@@MIK_edits Pretty good advice, for the Mass Effect trailers, where did you get all the footage and audio (dialogues) ?
You have to do some Better Call Saul trailers now
Wow! Wow! Wow!
He's back! Ah, but without the iconic theme... there's a website called Tabletop Audio with a track called Wierder Things, I bet you'd make good use of it. Not sure where the creator stands on using it in youtube videos, but it might be worth asking.
@Mikedits Do you have a download link for the high quality version of your Band of Brothers trailer?
Wooooowwww
THAT IS REALLY AWESOME❤️

Come back :(
Very good trailer, but stop changing your channel name, please!
I changed it again because I don't think it was a good idea to use my real name because I'm finnish and my surname looks probably really confusing to foreigners.
Mikedits Don't worry, I was jocking :)
Where the fuck have you been?!
Not editing :(
