Hi Frankie, you said RX100 is better? in which way? I think being able to film 4k with such an affordable camera is great! didnt you attach the horns to your nautcam to get better stabilitation? Cool video anyway I liked it very much
Jesus Sagastizabal LX100 is very noisy underwater after manual white balance, I didn't see this when I used it on land. RX100 has much higher usable ISO underwater. In my video most of the underwater clips have been denoised with neat video so you cannot see the actual low light performance of LX100 underwater.
Dear Frankie, I like your video from Revilagigedo - as I also have LX 100 in Nauticam housing and not lots of experience - please advise what settings have you used underwater - for focus (AF - AFS ?) , did you change WB each 10 m, ISO ? I've used LX100 lately and was not happy with AF - it was running all the time. thanks in advance for your tips - aleš
Sorry for my late reply. I haven't use it for diving after that trip, but I think in order to avoid the problem of AF I just set it to MF and use AF-ON to focus. I don't understand the logic that it can AF with AF-ON when it is in MF mode, but it works. MWB of LX100 is quite nice before 20m, after that I found the color too "cyan".
Fantastic video! Want to dive there asap.
