    Why is everyone so triggered 😂 he never claimed to specialize in Italian food, he's just having fun. And he's a damn good cook, better than most of the people who are triggered I'm willing to guess. I actually commend him for trying his best to celebrate so many cultures. The man has cooked feasts from damn near everywhere, by himself, from his own pocket. He never claimed to be perfect, or the best, but he's clearly doing what he loves and being incredibly inclusive while doing it which is rare nowadays. Everyone just enjoy the video, and if you don't, keep it moving. The dude isn't opening an Italian restaurant here, he's just having fun lmao

People like to be so negative, it's sad. Why would you choose to believe something isn't good, rather than have faith that it is because he's obviously passionate about it? If you want to be pessimistic and judgemental, that's fine. That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it, but so am I and I think he does great 😌

    Dear sir, as an Italian I give you my congratulations on your cooking skills, especially on how you prepared the pasta, "che il signore sia lodato". But you can't call it an Italian Feast without some good red wine and don't mind those critics that are complaining that you didn't change the water for the pasta or how you did the sauces, they are probably people that never touched a pot or a pan in their entire life.
    PS I will close an eye for the "cheese" on the seafood ;)

    As an Italian who cooks Italian dishes a lot I think you did a great job for he most part. A few things I would recommend doing when making red sauce is to add white wine, cream, and some chili flakes to give it a great acidity, color, and touch of spice. Also, the mark of a great pasta dish is when the pasta flavor is an embodiment of the sauce. So when cooking any pasta dish it’s good to finish the pasta with the sauce in a frying pan. Overall though, your pasta making skills are very good and you should be incredibly proud of the absolute feast you have made. (I hope you get a few hungry friends to come over and eat that food)

      If you're an Italian as you claim you should know that no-one makes rigatoni with sausage like that, ragout is made with miced meat, celery and carrots, baguette is French and hope that if an Italian chef is watching they skip the part where you put PANCETTA in the SEA food sauce, it comes from the pig! Ever seen one of them in the sea??
      P.s. I am half italian and I live in Italy currently

    • @4_free73
      @4_free73 6 років тому +45

      Obi Fidler yeah I know that he didn’t cook traditionally, (bratwurst with rigatoni and stuff).but I think that he knows that and chose to cook with what ingredients he wanted. I don’t want to act like a pompous traditionalist and point out all of the non-traditional things he did, because I think he knows this is not entirely traditional. I just am here to give suggestions, not to correct. And btw, you can put pancetta in a shellfish dish. Pork is used in shellfish dishes all of the time. Trust me, if you go to a nice Italian restaurant that has a clam dish it will have pork sausage in it or bacon.

Especially for the fact that you actually made the pasta, the baguette, the sauce - literally everything from scratch instead of buying them from the stores like everyone does. That's a huge plus for me.
    For the specific way of preparing the food, eeeeh I can't really comment on that cause I don't know how to cook (I only know how to eat lmao) but in the end, what matters is that we're enjoying the food we're eating. So, 10/10 from me! And a subscribe.

    • @alelafloolf817
      @alelafloolf817 5 років тому +3

      With this comment I want to be as precise as possible. If us italians get so triggered by seeing grated cheese on mussels is because we have years of cooking history on our shoulders, just like every other country. However, because of that, italians have become very close-minded about food. We are as proud of our food as you are with your street-food. The fact we get very triggered when American people "try to copy our food" doesn't give you the right to judge us, basing your opinions on stereotypes. Because if us italians are only "pizza, mafia, maccheroni e berlusconi" us italians can say American people are all fat, always eat hamburgers and trump. Which isn't true. As for me, you can do whatever you want with food. Thaere aren't any laws about food: only lots of recipes and versions to make dishes. I hope I explained everything I said as precisely as possible, just to make sure you all understand my opinion

    It’s called antipasto lol. It’s a meat, cheese, olive type appetizer served before the pasta dishes in traditional Italian dining 😉 Looks glorious 👌🏼

    You know what, i'm italian, this may not be super perfect like a nonna makes it (italian grandma) but it is good enough you are a good cook i'd eat all you made (maybe not the one with seafood and meat "cozze e pancetta"😂)
