I enjoyed seeing your knitting creations!!! You have been super busy!!! All that testing, 🤩!! Love everything but the giant lace shawl made using your hand dyed yarn is just stunning!!! I jumped off into lace knitting on the KAL with Knitting Turnpike last fall and was surprised that I was able to do it pretty well and finished the shawl. The sweater looks great on you and I always like the socks!!!🧶🧦🧶. Hope you and the family are all doing well!! Take care!!!

Hello! Enjoyed seeing all your makes. I crochet alot more then I knit but I still like seeing knitted projects. The lacy purple shawl is gorgeous, so flowy. You are a very talented knitter. Take care and hope your week is going well.💞

Awe Karen thank you! I really have honestly. Time truly gets away on me and I feel so guilty for not sharing enough sometimes. I love the recording part and chatting with you but the editing is the part I’m not fond of, I’d rather be crafting lol. Hopefully now with my room all set up all the time it just saves me so much set up time that it equals out. What have you been busy with? Hope you’re well. Happy spring! Thanks so much for watching and commenting too, hugs your way x

Hi Barb, your knitting is beautiful. So many projects made and they look fabulous. So my last comment on your video was about learning to knit and not being able to get it. I got a pair of bamboo US10 needles and #4 acrylic and tried again in March for my 4th and final attempt, and low and behold I did it. Granted it looks like a hot mess but you have to start some where, right? I could do the stitches but it was holding the needles and yarn and finding the way that was most comfortable. Being a crocheter, I swore I had to be continental. Turns out I’m English and not quite determined if I’m only a thrower or a flicker. Can you be both? First I did knit stitch back and forth, the purl, then I wondered how you get the v looking stitch. Haha, I was already doing it, just not alternating. Then I focused on tension and of course I picked up stitches along the way and the mistakes are plenty! But now I can call myself a knitter. No idea of terminology or stitch names so I still have to look that all up, and learn how to correct those errors. Sorry for the super long comment but I was pretty proud of myself for a couple days.

Omg I'm super duper proud of you too AND excited to hear!! I'm sorry it took me too long to get back to you, I didn't get notified, stupid youtube :( but also sooooo much has happened in my life in the last 6 weeks keeping me from everything and just sitting in my thoughts sadly. I'll get back at it in the next week or two. One of the things is my right (dominant) wrist is causing soooo much pain as I am test knitting my first brioche item ever and it's a cardigan for cozy up knits. I'm soooo in love with it BUT brioche takes forever!! This is the first project ever that I am NOT a process knitter but a product knitter.....I want that beautiful sweater but don't care at all the the process. Maybe a hat would be OK but this is a ton! Wait till you see it, beautiful. Anyways I'm good besides the wrist but so much family stuff going on. I'll hink about adding a little catch up at the end of a video because I'm sure most people don't care but a few sweet ones do xoxo. Thanks domuch for catching me up on your knitting journey AND for chatting and always being there. Oh BTW I hit 1000 that night woo-hoo, 23 months to the day!! Hugs always, your friend, Barb

@@knottyyarnies450 no worries about just getting back to me. Some channels don't even heart a comment. I hope your wrist is feeling better. Brioche is so pretty though and I'm sure the cardigan will be beautiful. You do such a good job with everything you make. I truly hope your family stuff tames down. I think I will try continental again when I try knitting again, just to see if it works better. I think the bamboo needles made all the difference for me. Attaching chat at the end of your videos would be awesome. Congrats on your milestone of 1k. That's a huge accomplishment and you're well deserving of it. Many more milestones ahead for you!

I was interested to hear about the neck stretching on the test knit sweater. Why do you think it stretched so much? Presumably everyone doesn't have the same thing happening once the weight of the sleeves is in the picture. I just knit the Aurealis by Jenn Steinglass and did her option of a rolled neck edge, my first one (and likely the last!). After I wore it for a few times I noticed that the neck was stretching. I picked up stitches as you did and did an inch of ribbing but the ribbing was standing up rather than lying flat. I did another inch and folded it over and sewed it down. Really looks good, and no more stretching. I wonder if it would have lane flat, as yours does, if I had decreased stitches like you did. Hmm.

Actually the neck was too wide in the pattern honestly. It was her first ever written knit pattern and she is a larger size so had every size cast on the same amount of stitches which for the smaller sizes meant a way larger opening than needed and once I kept trying it on then added the weight of the sleeves it got way way worse sadly. I always love challenges to figure them out and helping designers out too so I found it fun. She now has 2 neck opening sizes in her pattern to choose from. Maybe one day you'll need to try what I did but hopefully never but at least it's an option and an easy one too. Thanks so much for watching and commenting too. Hope you're doing fantastic! I better get my butt to bed, it's almost 2am and I'm still playing with paper and glue for my knitting treasure journal I'm making myself. Hugs, Barb
