Thanks Steve.. Worked on a Series X today that was at another repair shop and they put a screw through the SB board. I moved the flash chip over to another working SB Board and it worked like a champ. Thanks!
Wow what a gold mine of a video. Thank you so much for documenting this for us Steve. I have a series x here with a dead south bridge. I just bought a CH341A reader and I'm excited to give this a shot!
Would like to try this as I have a console that be good to eliminate the SB board (symptom is random shutdown). I have the CH341A modded for 3v3 and have successfully dumped PS4 NOR before using Flashrom. Also have a potential donor SB board. Came here as I just knew you'd have something on this. Thanks mate.
Hello. I have an xbox one s it has a problem the joystick bind button doesn't work. I changed the module, there are 3 volts on the button. I will be glad to receive your advice.
Very nice , what you suggest for xbox series x , ive the orginal raw partition , but the ssd fails after update , i don't have the raw partition after update Can be fixed
There is a link on the page to NEO which i used with a ch340 programmer.. I personally use UPFS systems but cant get it at the moment …but ch340 works.
@@Steve_be ok I ordered a ch341a programmer comes with a sop8 clip. Should that be all I need for computer and console bios chips. and use the green board with wires to program other chips like nor for example?
Hello, Have you tried reading out the nor on the main motherboard with the APU ??? it has 256mb and is u1014 on apu motherboard ? Is it possible to swap the main motherboard with the apu?
@@Scretvikunfortunately the nor carries the APU data and ssd, And SBFS FW. Which means the the SSD,APU, and NOR are tied together.. you can try it though

Have you got another controller to try ,,

No unfortunately you would need the updated XBFS partition
Hi Steve! Can you give me two dumps from series X? I need it to repair my corrupted dump
What programs do you use for swaping the nor data
There is a link on the page to NEO which i used with a ch340 programmer.. I personally use UPFS systems but cant get it at the moment …but ch340 works.
j5 header is pinout for u1014 spi flash
No its a header for a chip on the debug version the nor is on southbridge board u52 not u1014
No. That chip isnt fitted.. the nor is u52 on southbridge board
What reader should I get to read bios chips on consoles and laptops
The T58 like i use is best but you can ch34a but you may find you have to remove chip toread
@@Steve_be ok I ordered a ch341a programmer comes with a sop8 clip. Should that be all I need for computer and console bios chips. and use the green board with wires to program other chips like nor for example?
What if southbridge has a short. Still need to swap it anyway
If the Southbridge is short then its no good
can you explain what colours are pin 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
Colours dont matter, just connect pin 1 to pin on reader pin2 to pin2 and so on dont connect pin 8
Hello,
Have you tried reading out the nor on the main motherboard with the APU ??? it has 256mb and is u1014 on apu motherboard ?
Is it possible to swap the main motherboard with the apu?
As with my previous answers u1014 is not fitted on the x retail the nor is u52 on southbridge board
is it possible to swap the main motherboard with apu by changing the proghramming in the nor in the southbridge board ??@@Steve_be
Not directly the APU SSD and NorAnd dvd are all tied together, so to swap APU board you will need the matching SSD, NOR DVD its not really viable
Have you an email ? want to change some knowledge with you about this matter, when it s possible.
@@herbertlaminski1684 not on youtube but you can join my discord discord.gg/wmJzNpFG
if the bridge died on xbox x , do you need to remove the bridge from the donor south ? Do I need to do the same on xbox one s ?
Needs to be from the same version
