Ngl, I'm currently 16 and I've been slowly working towards my future, making plans and whatnot, working and saving, but overall, asides from when I have work bro, I do nothing all day, just waiting until I'm "old enough" and have "saved up enough" to do the things that I want. And there are some real limitations with age like being unable to drive (uk), move out, etc... However, I can do everything else that I envision for my future self, right now. There's no reason that I can't/shouldn't. I also make excuses, like the fact that my room needs redecorating, I cant be the man that I need to become. Like my environment is sub-par so I can't be productive until it get's sorted out. It doesn't make any sense now that I actually confront it. I no longer see the reasoning behind wasting these past months, heck even years. The only thing I struggle with is when I do not have work (most days tbh) Is wtf to actually do with the time I have. But if I actually sat down for 10 minutes and thought of what I want to do in the future, crossed out the "impossible" (like family that doesn't exist yet for example) I believe I would still have a good 80% of things to do, and I can always commit more, do more. I can feel a shift, from my old self, to me. I have felt this before, when starting a new chapter in life, for example, after I turned 16, I realised how childish I was during my prior years of adolescence, and to be honest, I felt like I had entered a new phase of my journey. I am also now getting a small sense of that, leaving behind more of those childish traits as I transfer to adulthood. It is getting late so I will make a note and re-visit this tomorrow. - Ace.
