Breathtaking replica of hungarian royal crown made by Mikuš Diamonds jewellery

- On fifth of April this year, 400 years passed since the hungarian royal crown was brought to Trenčín. To commemorate the anniversary, we decided to create a replica of this unique coronation jewel, which contains 362 natural pearls and 85 natural gems. All used gemstones were cut abroad to measure according to the shape and proportions of the original gems. The crown is made of silver and gilded in the final step, with a total weight of more than 2 kilograms.
A faithfull replica of this rare work created by our master jewelers can be seen throughout the summer of 2022 in the premises of the Mikuš Diamonds Jewellery House on Mierové námestie 40 in the center of the town.

Beautiful piece! I just watched Alan Barton's Antiquary video about this crown. I hadn't known anything about it before that. I like how you even duplicated the cross on top leaning to one side. Is that damage in the original or a purposeful design? 🙂 Cheers!
the leaning cross is indeed a damage. It happened on 14th february 1638 during coronation of Maria Anna of Spain, first wife of Ferdinand III. Habsburg, when they couldnt took the crown out of its copper box, that it was transported in. They had to use crowbars and the damage is still visible - leaning cross.
