It's crazy that when I sold them, they were going from $28k-$33k. I got mine from a lot in VA for $4300 with 128k miles. Runs like a champ, and I'm loving it. Good video btw.
Thanks for the video! All I can think about though is all that trans fluid in the street and gutter when there a trans drain plug. I’m sure it was clean up good though.
Gotta make sure you shift through all the gears/drive settings to grease them all. Not just let it run. That endeavor is ticking bad too. Isold them for 3 yrs and I currently own a 2008 SE Endeavor.
I actually did shift through all the gears. yeah its had a tick like that sense I bought it and drives fine! thanks for throwing that in for me!!! check out my other videos Endeavor is running perfect!!!!
Saw your comment and apparently there's no filter that can be changed so other than maybe cleaning the inside of the pan what's the point of taking it off when you have a drain plug? looks like spill and fill to me . 🤔 And that is to pull the plug drain measure the amount of fluid taken out and replace the same amount of new fluid its probably better than doing nothing at all the other solution is take it to the dealer and have it flushed.
So i was recommended to use diamond Sp III transmission fluid. Did the multi vehicle transmission fluid from O'Reilly's have any negative effects on your endeavor? I have a 2008 and it needs new transmission fluid.
questions: i have an 04 endeavor and i’m running idemitsu sp-iii in it as well as lucas automatic trans stabilizer: 1.how much new fluid did you put back in? 2.what fluid did you run? 3. why did you pull the pan when the drain bolt was right there? cheers!
@Mcatwar Hey man, would the 17/18mm (I think) drain plug on the Transfer case be the same one for the tranny? I see that they are connected, b/c I'm going to drain mine (was gonna do it today but...) I didnt know where the fill port was. If it's the same as the trans fluid then it's game on.
K B okay so basically this was my procedure: 15/16 (i think) socket for the trans, and transfer case. look at the bottom of the t case, you should see a big drain bolt. look above it to the right, and there is a smaller bolt in the corner. that’s your fill. filling the trans is done through the dipstick tube. only use diamond sp-iii fluid. what i did was use the itemitsu sp-iii, that’s OEM. it’s very cheap
@@MCatwar so does the tranny and transfer case take the same fluid? I just purchased some transfer case fluid (valvoline full synthetic transfer case fluid). Thanks for responding btw.
yeh I did see that but I really wanted to also show people how to change that gasket, some tend to leak so I thought id just get it out of the was because Iv only owned the suv for about 2 years.
actually I couldn't access it from the transmission pan there, it was in another location on the trans.... i was SO MAD that I couldn't get to at in this video... Should I make a part 2? doing that filter?
I've checked the manual and looks like you have to disassemble a lot to have access to the filter but if you find a easy way that would be great ! ;) thanks for the answer.
@Val Bigfish The transmission oil of my endeavor does not last 6 clean medes, I have to change the oil every 6m, any solution to make the oil last longer?
no there wasn't a filter inside of the pan.... its actually in a different location maybe I should do a video on filter replacement! my pan was leaking so I changed out the fluid and pan gasket.
Any luck on finding a way to change the filter? I have a 04 120k miles previous owner had the transmission rebuilt recently. I have a problem it sounds like a airplane turbine when accelerating. Loud and annoying. Fluid is good. Im thinking a clogged or broken filter might be causing the issue.
@@Armando-lg3ry Ok, it's a vacuum leak. I ran mine by a mechanic today and he told me. I gotta get some other things done that I already knew like rear cat and rear manifold replacement. Also, the crossover pipe is rattling but that's like $65 and it's bolt on. I just realized the endeavor has 3 CATS. Not 2. WTF
@@NCTXVA Really. Wth. I've owned many cars never seen 3 cats before especially on a V6 with a single exhaust. My corvette with duel exhaust had 2. Everything else only 1. Now I have to go under mine and see this for myself. Lol. A vacuum leak. That makes sense. It could impact the trans fluid pressure which is what I thought it was to begin with.
You could change the title of your video as ''How not to change the transmission fluid for a Mitsubishi endeavor'' in order to other people not commit the same mistake.
there is a line on the dipstick or 2 holes. I believe mine had holes so I filled it to the top hold or some will have an arrow showing a fill line. thanks for watching!!
It's very simple twist the plug off it's so inconvenient you don't need to split the transmission there's a transmission fluid plug. This guy is a scam
Anyone tell me if that lost filter is in the transmission or if it's located somewhere else more excessible? Or is it in the middle of the fucking thang ? Never messed with theseones before.

thanks!!!!! endeavors are great SUV's
this is exactly the same as my Mitsubishi 380 which i haven’t found videos for so this was very helpful thank you 🤝💪
thanks bro, changing the oil in mines will be this much easier now that you've shown us how! 🏆
Use the drain plug, it's easier. Less mess.
Awesome video my man, thank you. Entertaining & now I know how to change the transmission fluid on my own-- '07 Mitsubishi Endeavor, lol. ✌️
Should've used a 17 mm socket for drain plug. Hell of a lot faster and less messy.

Use the Diamond SPIII. Others can say they are compatible, but compare the specs
