The Ghoul watching his old film and seeing that line: “…strong, ugly, and had dignity. I’ll give you two out of three on that.” And maybe he’s realizing he’s two out of three now, he’s strong and ugly but lost his dignity. It’s such a nice moment of character reflection while being kind of subtle about it.

It only occurred to me last night, but when the Ghoul is holding his hand canon on Lucy to threaten her through the door of the Super Duper Mart... he didn't have a trigger finger. He literally couldn't have fired with his gun like that. He was bullshitting.
11 decades of wastelanding, and Cooper Howard is still one hell of an actor.

He's been acting the "whole" time as the Ghoul. He uses his cowboy voice and not the normal voice he uses with his wife or other people.
The ghoul just followed her golden rule.

Lucy and the Ghoul actually are one and the same slowly “give it a little time” The Ghoul does what he does for necessity to survive and to reach a goal. As does Lucy now, she just doesn’t know it
Agree, HALO should be this good. This show started me playing FO3 & NV for the first time. The Ghoul is doing Lucy a favour by training her for the future.The Ghoul has been doing side quests for nearly 200 years, he has to survive to continue his main pursuit.
The ghoul lost dignity before the bombs, he didn’t want to kill the man in the movie but did it anyways. Fave character in this hands down, he’s complex and badass 😅

Presumably, our man has been doing stuff like trading this chick in, every couple of months, for two centuries. He can't exactly stock up on currency; he can only carry around so many bottle caps. There is no banking. There is no digital money. So he has been living "paycheck" to "paycheck" all this time.

@@galadballcrusher8182 The show says he was dug up every year, but it never says he was there for decades. I guess to me it's sort of implied that his captor has not been alive for 219 years, to do this to him.
I disagree she didn’t change she still is the same and still values the golden rule as a guiding light.

The Ghoul is the best character in the show. He doesn't need to change.
Yeah the Halo series was awful. If you're a fan of the game is takes a big-ass dump all over the very things that were good about the games, the lore, characters and everything else. And they even missed including the musical score, which should have been a no-brainer.
