I gave a thumbs up, based on the technical side of the video. I was impressed specially by how smooth the animation flows and the way you used the light sources. This is an awesome accomplishment. In my humble opinion, of course.

Thanks for the kind words...I think technically your film is far more superior in all aspects including your animation...it's top notch and i feel mine doesn't even compare...i feel that I just got lucky with the topic i chose...Newton being a popular science guy and it was the apple pie joke that went viral...lots of teachers asked me if they can show it in their class.... I don't really have a secret... barely finished it in time..haha...cheers!
As a student trying to manage all aspects of the project, it was difficult to get a special soundtrack recorded due to limited resources. The soundtrack you hear was designed using some sounds from the library and the chainsaw sound just happened to slip by... :P
To be honest, this is probably the first thing that came to his mind... And then after he got out of the hospital he figured out gravity xD Have you ever thought of making longer animations? Not theatrical, just more along the 10 minute mark o.o I've had this fun short story that could be told best through this kind of animation :3

Yes, those are individual leaves. I used one of Oak trees in the Maya library as a reference. With ambient occlusion and all other passes, the frames with the trees took about 13 minutes to render, per frame.
