Nice work once again Sammy! Looks like the deep water jigging was on🔥🔥🔥. I love that kinda fishing bc you never know what you are gonna pull up. Its always fun with the variety you get but also all those deep water fish usually are delicious! Tight lines brotha and keep up the great content😎
G’day Legend, As this session is about jigging, I’d like to ask you ; When jigging in this kind of situation, terrain and conditions , do you have a preference of multiplier or fixed spool and , if so , which one , and why? Thank you Champ for your time and for the adventures. Chris.
Pennant Trevally indeed. In the Atlantic we call them African Pompano. The diamond or Indian Threadfin has an almost vertical / angular face vs. the rounded trevally shape. Great fish, great vid.
Yea thats an African Pomp here in the States. We call em AP’s. Very exotic catch here but more common in the Keys and all of S. Fla. Excellent eating and more fun catching! Dont get over 50 lbs but fight like hell!🤣🤘🤘😎
@@SammyHitzkeFishing well if ya ever catch another one keep it! I have only had it twice but it IS a delicious tasting fish. Kinda tastes like a mix of Wahoo and grouper to me.😎🤘🤘
Those diamond/pennant trevally (we call them african pompano) are up there with wahoo eating wise, similar too. Shame to see them go back they mightve been the top eating fish of the lot
Got a 110 penant out off the ribbon reefs up near Cooktown awesome fish had no idea they were good eating according to all the yanks in the comments. Got a photo and sent him home.
We would call that an African Pompano in this part of the world. I believe it's the same as a Pennantfish. Nice catch!
Looks like a AP a baby though
Yep, an African Pompano. My wife caught a 10 kilo one off Miami. Great eating! As they grow they lose their threads. Jim L

That silver fish looks just like a juvenile African pompano. Google say you can catch them in Australia. They’re found in topical waters.
Its a Pennant Trevally Sammy. They call them African Pompano in America. Top 5 best fish to eat for me.
Well there you go! I think we had out blinders on thinking we’d just keep trout and RTE! Missed the Pennant for the table 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Good on ya Sammy ♥

What happens to all the tackle after these trips, does it go back to Wilson?
It gets sorted out, washed and we pack it into boxes for the next trip 👌👌
