- I experienced a lot of retries (and aching thumb) during my early attempts using Exdeath...that's probably because I depended on his omniblock too much. With my terrible timing and slow reaction time, I decided it will be better to use protect/shell guard as both have quick activation time compared to omniblock. In other words, I'm a noob and omniblock is for pro Exdeath-user only.

There's a reason Exdeath is the master of defensive counter attacks. This sold the notion that he can be a threat in the right hands. Efficiently good stuff.

Conclusion? Exdeath is top tier
That’s mainly due to Exdeath’s play style in Dissidia in general. He’s very slow and his offensive options aren’t the best. In exchange, he has a pleathora of parries, reflects, and counter attacks. And they’re all cracked!
I love exdeath' EX mode, where everything just stops at the end of it and u can just hear his voice, truly a dramatic finish

holy goddamn, I usually hate Exdeath because timing his block perfectly was too hard for me, I respect you for mastering him
I too hate exdeath when im learning how to block timely but the more i practice the better i timed my counter until i can block everything in maximum difficulty using omni block so "practice makes THE VOID" perfect
Exdeath literally makes his enemies regret attacking him in the first place
Looking back,
Exdeath was not a character I fully utilized.
It's Jecht in my case.
I am Team Villian all the way. I loved playing Exdeath in Dissidia. The Emperor too, I love them.

I'm mastered Exdeath's Omniblock to the point where Feral Chaos can't touch me, and even I must bow to this performance. This is Exdeath play at its true mastery. You look like you'd be so fun to fight against.
I'm going to emulate this on steam deck when it arrives tomorrow and god damn I'm learning a lot from your Exdeath. I was never able to really master any character besides like, Sephiroth in the olden days, so I got a lot of work ahead of me.
Exdeath requires setting up his block abilities depending on the opponent. Like for example, my set up for Feral Chaos will not be an ideal set up for Chaos. Try to experiment which block is more effective for you.

holy shit, i fucking hated using exdeath but looking at your vid makes me want to use him now.
You'll enjoy using him more if you master his omniblock. Exdeath's omniblock is so tricky that you can't use bluetooth controllers with high latency. Once you mastered it, forget dodging.
Mastering omniblock makes you a god in this game😂😂

This. This is absolutely incredible. I have reached this level of mastery with a few characters, but in my opinion they're easier to master than Exdeath by a long shot (Cloud, Yuna, Onion Knight). I'm gonna have to learn Exdeath now because this looks like too much fun. Him, Jecht, and Gabranth are the only characters I can't use. I don't suppose you've a video on the other two as well? Then I'd have a complete guide to observe move timings with haha
I also got vids of both Jecht and Gabranth. In Jecht's case, I never got the chance to fully master his moves so you may check out other vids. If you're really serious on mastering Exdeath's block timing, I suggest you avoid using bluetooth controllers with high latency if you are planning to master omniblock. Wired controllers would be the most ideal.
@Infrasmell I've been using a custom keyboard setup to play. It works pretty well with everyone but with jecht I can't get him to do anything cool on purpose lol. Exdeath is pretty finicky but I've managed some cool stuff. Rewatching this has been a huge help. Do you have anyone in particular you think I should practice against?
@@finalfantasyfordays127 Any opponent can be tricky to counter but I think Onion Knight is probably the trickiest coz he's fast.
@@Infrasmell fair enough. I rarely have difficulty when I use him. Except for mirror matches. Those suck. And maybe having used him so much will be helpful in learning how to mess him up with Exdeath lol
@@finalfantasyfordays127 I agree. The more familiar you are with your opponent's moves, the easier it is for them to get blocked.

Were Feral Chaos’ HP attacks not worth countering? Or are those unblockables like Terra’s Flood?
You can counter HP attacks but you'll need to master omniblock. It's a bit harder to time.

See I just flew up into the air as Kuja and spammed ultima for like half an hour and eventually he died. I never got whatever weird gear you have with all these special effects i just beat everyone the same way.

My current save state got all my character skills maxed out. I can't recall where to farm better AP rewards. I know from all those efforts, 3 AP is not rewarding.
