This song is one of many of his songs that touch me in a way, that it keeps me understand what life is all about. No matter how hard life gets,, the Lord will see me though it!!

GMWA Detroit' s Mass Choir.....brought me here!!
They performed a tribute, some years ago to this Legendary Gospel genius.... Rev.James Cleveland( May he R.I.P.)
They were extraordinary .....Lord Have Mercy🤦🏾‍♀️😪🙌🏾🙌🏾
That being said....I had to look for the original, here posted on UA-cam.... as well!!
Rev.Cleveland has gifted the masses with so many beautiful, glorious, magnifying the Lord....songs!!
There is nothing like " Old School/ Classic Gospel Songs....Nothing( just giving my humble opinion).
This particular song has just been added to the list of one of my favorite Gospel Songs!!
Peace and an Abundance of Blessings to All, in these trying times....However, Just remember, he knows just how much we can bear !!🙏🏿🙏🏿

Lord help us to return to the former days of praise. Listen to the words don't look at the vessel see how God works

Lydia Majette People need to look at themselves. Be ready to answer to God for themselves. God isn't expecting anyone to give an account for ANYONE else other than self.

Lord thank you for your Healing Spirit. I pray, tonight, for the woman who has just been beat down. She is so lonely, emberassed feeling betrayed. Take her in your loving healing arms, comfort her give her a way out of the darkness.
"I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for." - Jeremiah 29:11

This song was first recorded with Prayer Tabernacle after the death of Pastor Craig. If you get the chance you really need to hear it. It is an awesome song

Why isn’t this song available on Apple Music, Spotify etc... Some of James Cleveland’s greatest songs aren’t available for download. Makes no sense!

I will ask his daughter LaShone Cleveland, about it. When I get an answer to your question I'll let you know.

Along with Cathy it also sounds like Rickey Barber. They were both raised in Greater New Unity Church in Los Angeles pastored by the late Dr HP Rachal.

I have been trying to find this album on CD for the longest time. There's a song on it called "Restore My Joy" that I can't find anywhere.

I used to! Someone uploaded it to Kazaa a few years back. It was indeed with the Voices of Tabernacle, I remember him saying that in the prologue to the song. It's a quicker, more thumping, "fuller" version with some other choir members trading on lead.

The woman who sung lead on this one was Catherine Rachal, of Los Angeles, daughter of the late Dr. H.P. Rachal.

There's a great older recording of this song that Rev. Cleveland did with either a young girl/boy soprano also on lead.
