I lost my mother at the age of 11 got pregnant at 15 my X boyfriend killed my baby I was in an abusive realationahip from one failed realationahip to the next divorce 2 and was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2021 today I am cancer free and in therapy trusting God I am not letting God go it's all about Jesus Christ for me!!!!!

I lost my husband to Covid in August of 2020, but I'll never lose my faith in God. I'm a widow with 5 daughters. Needless to say, our family is devastated. I want to thank you all for your kind, encouraging words and condolences. It means more to me than you know. Even on my worst days, I pray and thank God for his love, mercy, and blessings. I've had some weary days and sleepless nights. Sometimes the clouds hang so low, I can hardly see the road. But God's been good to me. He wipes all my tears away and turns my midnight into day. He knows what's best for me. I remember Rev Cleveland was preaching around the corner from momma’s house and when I got out of my church his church was still rocking with the spirit of God .Athera Franklin was there singing many times and other famous gospel singers. When I lost my Mom & Sister just 2-weeks apart from each other back in 2015, those were the Darkest Days in my life...for about 3-weeks!! Prior to that, my mom and I watched this video several times...and I will never forget the day and way she looked at me and said, 'Baby don't you ever Lose Your FAITH!!! True story: I always tell my kids, it’s two things free, that don’t cost any money in this life, Your Salvation in Jesus and YOUR FAITH! My dad played this for me one time when i was younger. One day this song pulled up on my youtube feed. I ignored it because i didnt know it, but the holy spirit kept telling me to listen to it. I ignored the holy spirit for a week. Then finally i listened to it. Within a couple of seconds i knew where i heard this song from, and i started to cry. God showed up on time. My dad played this song for me.

I don't know anything about Rev. Cleveland James more than what I read about him in the various comments. Therefore, I cannot give a true judgment on his life. He and God will deal with that aspect of his life. And knowing the God I serve, oh yes, He will. So, I will not comment on his life relative to that alleged accusation. What I do know about him, having listened to his many songs and compositions, he was a very great and gifted singer and I believe he has blessed many souls with his singing ministry, even now, though he is no longer with us. Finally, in Romans 1:21-31, it is clearly stated that God is against such practices and there is a judgment pronounced against those who indulge in such practices. However, if those who indulge in such acts, repent of their sins, the God we serve will forgive them of their sins, not in death but while they are alive. Because there is no repentance in the grave. I have already given you the 9th verse, so I will go on to 1Jn 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." I am so glad that we serve a merciful God, who will forgives and although we sin against him daily, he still loves us. If you are going to judge, judge righteously. Heb. 10:24-26 says "And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." It is true that many of the churches today have turned from preaching and teaching the absolute truth of God's Word, but God always have some faithful reserved for himself. Elijah thought he was the only real prophet of God left (because Jezebel was killing God's prophets) and wanted to die because of this but God's response to him was "I have reserved 7000 prophets unto me that have not bowed to baal." However, we are told not to forsake the fellowship of the church because we receive strength from one another. When, we don't fellowship we will get weak spiritually. The question that we need to ask is, why is the church in the shape it's in today? The apostle Paul told Timothy "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1Tim. 4:1-3 I truly believe that we are living in these days right before the return of the Lord for his people. It is closer than we think. We have continue to trust God and seek him through prayer, fasting, and through his Holy Word. He will lead us to a place where we can worship and serve him faithfully, where the truth of his Word is being both preached and taught.

I just had this to happen in the grocery store a few days ago. A minister spoke as he passed me by. I smiled to acknowledge his greeting and kept walking. But the feeling left upon me was very strange and unusual and stayed with me until I inquired of the Lord what it all meant. I could not sort this one out. So I seeking the Lord until God's peace returned to me. The Lord has spoke some time ago and said, it is going to get darker. He's speaking of spiritual darkness. Spiritual discernment will be paramount for the days ahead. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not to thy own understanding. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall guard and keep thee. Shalom, shalom.
My father promoted the then Bro James Cleveland in the 1960s. My father invited Bro. Cleveland to our church on Classon Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, for a big concert. Yes, this is 1973. I was old enough to sing in the children choir. We sang and got the church ready for Mr. James Cleveland, he was not a minister at that time and this is before he moved to Southern California. Talk about a Christian party in church on Sunday morning, wow!!! LOL no kidding. This is how my dad became a big time musician, promoter, organizer and anything to do with music. Everyone talked about this concert from Brooklyn to NJ to Southern California. No kidding. His daughter will probably not even remember my dad as I believe she is much younger than me. I don't know. My dad went on to promote other gospel giants like Andrae Crouch and the Disciples, and Ronny Leaky and more Pops was modest but superb musician he played brass, winds, percussion instruments. He was a fine vocalist as well. His mom did not want him to move with Bro. Cleveland. So he stayed in Brooklyn, NY. A family friend have an 8mm video film of the concert. I will have to get the 8mm film of the concert to see if it can be converted. Who knows what condition it will be. It has been over 50 years since it was last seen. My mom and daddy are still living, and grandmother and grandpa are in heaven. They all loved James Cleveland. He came to our city before I was born in 1972 I was born in 1976. Today mom and dad still talk about him coming to our city. Daddy says that man could play a piano. My grandparents on my mother side died 2 weeks apart when I was 14yrs old. Both of their funerals this song was sang by our church choir. Our organist played anthems and hymns but he also loved James Cleveland’s music. Thanks for the memories.

My faith is the only is way I can go through what I am going through right now. September 8th my older sister passed away. September 9th my younger cousin had a stroke, September 15th my uncle passed away. my aunt in Atlanta had a stroke 2 years ago, my other uncle in Africa had Slight stroke and my other uncle legs are swells from kidney disease. my youngest cousin has stage four cancer of the uterus. How can one person handle this? I almost lost my faith, :But I will keep holding on to God's unchanging hands and he will carry me through during this test of time. He and God will deal with that aspect of his life. And knowing the God I serve, oh yes, He will. So, I will not comment on his life relative to that alleged accusation. What I do know about him, having listened to his many songs and compositions, he was a very great and gifted singer and I believe he has blessed many souls with his singing ministry, even now, though he is no longer with us.
Finally, in Romans 1:21-31, it is clearly stated that God is against such practices and there is a judgment pronounced against those who indulge in such practices. We, I am speaking of myself as well, Romans 6:23 " We all have sinned and came short of the glory of God". Jesus came to give life and to give it more abundantly. Jn 10:10. Where is the love of God in your heart? Are you without sin? The Bibles says in 1Jn 1:8 "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." I have already given you the 9th verse, so I will go on to 1Jn 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
I am so glad that we serve a merciful God, who will forgives and although we sin against him daily, he still loves us. If you are going to judge, judge righteously.
Heb. 10:24-26 says "And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."
It is true that many of the churches today have turned from preaching and teaching the absolute truth of God's Word, but God always have some faithful reserved for himself. Elijah thought he was the only real prophet of God left (because Jezebel was killing God's prophets) and wanted to die because of this but God's response to him was "I have reserved 7000 prophets unto me that have not bowed to baal." However, we are told not to forsake the fellowship of the church because we receive strength from one another. When, we don't fellowship we will get weak spiritually.
The question that we need to ask is, why is the church in the shape it's in today? The apostle Paul told Timothy "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1Tim. 4:1-3
I truly believe that we are living in these days right before the return of the Lord for his people. It is closer than we think.
We have continue to trust God and seek him through prayer, fasting, and through his Holy Word. He will lead us to a place where we can worship and serve him faithfully, where the truth of his Word is being both preached and taught.

I just had this to happen in the grocery store a few days ago. A minister spoke as he passed me by. I smiled to acknowledge his greeting and kept walking. But the feeling left upon me was very strange and unusual and stayed with me until I inquired of the Lord what it all meant. I could not sort this one out. So I seeking the Lord until God's peace returned to me. The Lord has spoke some time ago and said, it is going to get darker. He's speaking of spiritual darkness. Spiritual discernment will be paramount for the days ahead. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not to thy own understanding. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall guard and keep thee. Shalom, shalom.
My father promoted the then Bro James Cleveland in the 1960s. My father invited Bro. Cleveland to our church on Classon Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, for a big concert. Yes, this is 1973. I was old enough to sing in the children choir. We sang and got the church ready for Mr. James Cleveland, he was not a minister at that time and this is before he moved to Southern California. Talk about a Christian party in church on Sunday morning, wow!!! LOL no kidding. This is how my dad became a big time musician, promoter, organizer and anything to do with music. Everyone talked about this concert from Brooklyn to NJ to Southern California. No kidding.
His daughter will probably not even remember my dad as I believe she is much younger than me. I don't know.
My dad went on to promote other gospel giants like Andrae Crouch and the Disciples, and Ronny Leaky and more
Pops was modest but superb musician he played brass, winds, percussion instruments. He was a fine vocalist as well. His mom did not want him to move with Bro. Cleveland. So he stayed in Brooklyn, NY.
A family friend have an 8mm video film of the concert. I will have to get the 8mm film of the concert to see if it can be converted. Who knows what condition it will be. It has been over 50 years since it was last seen.

My mom and daddy are still living, and grandmother and grandpa are in heaven. They all loved James Cleveland. He came to our city before I was born in 1972 I was born in 1976. Today mom and dad still talk about him coming to our city. Daddy says that man could play a piano. My grandparents on my mother side died 2 weeks apart when I was 14yrs old. Both of their funerals this song was sang by our church choir. Our organist played anthems and hymns but he also loved James Cleveland’s music. Thanks for the memories.

September 9th my younger cousin had a stroke, September 15th my uncle passed away. my aunt in Atlanta had a stroke 2 years ago, my other uncle in Africa had Slight stroke and my other uncle legs are swells from kidney disease. my youngest cousin has stage four cancer of the uterus. How can one person handle this? I almost lost my faith, :But I will keep holding on to God's unchanging hands and he will carry me through during this test of time.
