The reason Power was weaker than the Bat Devil is because She is a Fiend so not at full power. Also the Fox devil is probably strong because of all the Japanese folklore related to foxes.

@@Vidilian The author used a myth about bat's saliva having a numbing/anesthetic effect that is false IRL. But since the conception of fear is not always based on facts by humans, the Bat devil's saliva seems to have a stronger effect. Meowy is fine since the cage seemed to protect him better from the saliva, now that's convenient. :D
@@BrunoGrundy Australian bats actually have some kind of virus in their saliva called "Australian bat lyssavirus" that can cause serious infections which might be where that fear comes from. The saliva itself may not be paralytic, but I'm sure that at least one of the diseases bats carry may have that as a symptom.

Yeah, just a heads up, all 12 episodes have 12 different Endings with almost all of them having different visuals. They're really good and don't spoil anything and at most provides a fun teaser for the next episode if you know what you're looking for.
One of the characters that Power is based on is Eric Cartman, the writer of the manga himself admitted that, and that should tell you a lot about her lol

Everyone rags on Kobeni for stabbing Aki, but that was a group effort to kill Denji. Himeno restrained Aki, Arai restrained Denji, Kobeni tried to stab Denji. All three co-ordinated it, and Aki purposefully got in the way of her knife.

Japan has a lot of stories about fox spirits or Kitsune and some of those stories end really badly for the people involved. The fox spirit or for a better Japanese term Yako are usually described as being deceitful or tricky. The main one to think of is the nine tailed fox which is used as inspiration for Pokemon, Naruto and pretty much any other Japanese media involved a fox. Of course there is the other side of fox spirits or Zenko who are renown for being more friendly towards human but they'll still mess you if you do something wrong. You're likely to see a fox spirit statue guarding Japanese Temples.
You're right. I wonder if it's more than just fear but strong emotions in general that make the demons more powerful. Because if it was more like significance that made them stronger, that would make sense for the fox to be strong in Japan anyway.
In America, the strongest devils would be cars, coffee, guns, freedom, and cigarettes probably. Maybe a bomb.
Though at this point, the phone devil, internet devil, and electricity devils would be the strongest worldwide... along with darkness and death. Probably.
There's also the Aguara who is a mythological fox in Ava Guaraní and Chané mythology. They were mentioned in The Witcher books as a fox spirit who kidnapped young girls. Foxes have always been the tricksters who scorn humanity for their naivety.
In the first episode after he turned into the chainsaws they thought he wasn't human anymore. They had me dying when they were like, "Can he communicate?"

One of the best parts about Denji being so incredibly easily manipulated by women is that it makes sense. He sold one testicle, and when he fused with Pochita he regenerated it. He's got more testosterone running through him than ever before. The poor boy is blocked from balls to brain. Thanks for giving it a chance by the way. The first episode is... Definitely among the more gorey and rough episodes, but as Wes said it's extremely weird but gets you extremely invested. And you know... Touching boobs is a more realistic motivation than becoming ninja president or whatever.

That's not actually true, medically. If you have both removed, then you will experience a decrease in testosterone but if you have one testicle, testosterone levels stay the same (because testosterone works in a feedback loop).

Power is actually the name of a type of Heavenly being; like "Angel" is at the bottom of the hierarchy and "Seraphim" is at the top, "Powers" is with "Virtues" in the middle of like 8 or 9 ranks.

This shows wild, episode 6 proved that almost every character is morally questionable at BEST. Most of them are by definition not good people, but I cant really hate them.
Kobeni and Arai are scared shitless as noobs and willing to kill to survive, Himeno was willing to kill Denji so that Aki wouldn't get hurt because shes traumatized by loosing so many partners, Power is... Power.
That brings us to Aki, at first glance he seems altruistic. But he risked his neck because hes willing to bet it all to get his revenge, he knows he cant do it by himself and wants to use Denji to get it done.

Little fact in the manga the clear up prostitution and devil hunting are her choices because they pay good money easily, this is a real issue in Japan, were it is estimated that around 170,000 Junior High and Highschool girls have been involved in some kind of prostitution, they even a name for it

Just a quick reasoning on episode 4 on why Power couldn't move. Most bat's have ABLV infection which causes paralysis!

That’s actually the author’s most normal manga. His other works are WEIRDER
Foxes are generally respected in Japan, but they can also be feared due to their demon counterpart in folklore (and other symbolisms relating to bad omens). It can be equated to a fear of ghosts in the US, so a fair amount of people fear foxes.
The fear was great enough that towards the end of WW2, the US actually had an entire operation planned to use Japan's Fox Spirit folklore against them as psychological warfare, and it was known as "Operation Fantasia".
The operation would begin by distributing pamphlets warning of impending evil and patterned after those of Japanese soothsayers. These would be airdropped and also spread by field operatives who would blow special reed whistles to simulate a fox-like “cry of the damned”, and use powders and pastes to spread “fox odors” throughout Japan. The OSS also enlisted Japanese collaborators to "simulate persons possessed by the Fox Spirit". Finally, live foxes covered in "glowing material" would be released onto every field of combat, signifying bad omens and instilling fear into Japan's troops.
This strategy has failed. The obsession with the fox is still present in folklore, but it is more of a fable to keep children from going deep into the forest alone. Many Japanese fairy tales are about places like this that shouldn't be approached, and things that adults want to hide by scaring children to keep them away. I, too, was told them as a child.
The "killing stone"（殺生石 setsyoseki） that the nine-tailed fox was in is real, but the mountain that this stone is on emits poisonous gases, so perhaps it was used to keep people away and spread such folklore.

the more you fear a devil, the stronger the devil becomes. the more you fear the specific "type" of devil, the stronger that devil becomes (e.g., fear of guns = gun devil really strong)
the devil in the hotel suddenly became much stronger because that Kobeni girl started freaking out, the food ran out, everybody started turning on each other while trying to decide whether to make a "deal with the devil" or not, etc.

I know you may never see this but people are assuming Denji is actually the Extinction Devil. When he eats a devil or its heart it's erased like it went extinct.
The leading cause of extinction nowadays is deforestation. Hence the chainsaws.
Also, since everything fears extinction, Denji is the ultimate power.
