Looks to be a great dollar for dollar electric bike value. A fully featured bike with Bosch, suspension, fenders, hydraulic brakes, integrated lights, rack, frame lock, enclosed chain, and a great warranty eliminates the pressure on the budget conscious buyer to buy a generic no-name mail-order bike. Great review Court, nice to get Chris' viewpoint as well.
Thanks Gary! I agree with you here, this ebike offers a great value and it's wonderful to get Chris' perspective. We filmed a couple of other Gazelle models on this trip too, I'm excited to post sometime soon :)
ElectricBikeReview.com I hope the new Arroyo Elite is one of them. I’m looking forward to learning about it. I remember you mentioning they improved the frame in 2017, I’m hoping it’s still flex-free in 2019 with the battery in the downtube.
Great review! My wife and I just bought this model. I was hesitant since we are big Towne fans so we went in looking to buy the Towne Go but then saw these. The move up seems to be worth the extra $500. Right off the bat we liked the better turning ability from our Towne. We test drove them in the parking lot but a long distance ride will be the true test for the difference in posture.
I just got the Medeo Gazelle and absolutely love the bike. At 67 yrs. old I needed an assist on some of the large hills we have locally (We live in a valley). I can't believe how far I can travel without being fatigued. I get a great workout, but feel like a kid again. Life after 65 is really good. BTW - Got this at the beginning of May this year in the middle of the great Minnesota being held hostage by our Governor. I ride every day now (unless there's rain). And we don't need no stinkin'' masks!!!!
Nice the rain does not stop you! My Specialized bike for over 6' person weights 28 lbs. so this bike is starting to make sense weight wise and price wise.
Yeah! I've had some rainy and even snowy reviews over the years... Heading to Seattle next week so there could be some rain again ;) which Specialized model do you have?
I have the Alibi with airless tires the tires are fine with me they give a sense of freedom because the only way I fix a flat is with a cell phone. The tires are about the same weight as my old Armadillo tires with thornproof tires.

I look for de bikes on the internet i dont see them for sale in the Netherlands. How ironic ,... Oooo Thanks for pointing iT out the other bike has a diffent name Arroyo C8 Thanks for being so good in review,S. 👍🏼
How would you compare this Gazelle model to a radpower bike of similar style? I am trying to decide between the two but am not sure which would be better for long legs and also comfort
The Gazelle Cityzen T10 and Cityzen Speed have a cross tube frame electricbikereview.com/gazelle/cityzen-t10/. My neighborhood dealer carries them, they are sweet.
Water bottles on a city bike? These are bikes for going to work and home with. The bike is build for riding trough the city and for people that want a bit sporty ride. I prefer a bike without suspension. This because you lose a lot of energy and here the roads are very good, so it's not needed. Suspension in the seat felt strange when I tried it. I had the feeling that I had a flat tire. But on roads that I have seen in the USA I can understand why you want suspension in the front and in the seat. Every man throws his leg over. Hahaha I do it also even if it's not needed.
Thank you for this response! We also feel that a water bottle on this frame design would get in the way of the spacious step-through frame, making the bike less accessible. If people need a water bottle for a longer ride, the rack straps work wonderfully.
@@kldstl Thanks! Please do. We do ship to Missouri all the time, but some brands don't allow shipping. I actually just had some visit the LB shop last week from Missouri and we're shipping him a R&M Homage. Shoot us an email at hello@propelbikes.com and I'll be happy to help.
Thank you and we are glad you like the bike! Our goal is to get more people on bikes and out of cars, so we made the best bike we could at an affordable price!
Hey guys! Starting in April of 2020, Gazelle has dropped the price for the Medeo T9 down to $1,999.
Got mine. See below...
Good price for such an good e-bike.
It's been a year, and now they're $2,500.00. This makes me wonder if Trek might be better because of parts and service availability.

Great to see the comparison! Appreciate the in-depth review -- it's helping me choose between the two.

I have an older Gazelle Medeo that I brought from Holland. Solid bike. Very upright city hybrid, more for casual rides to the store.

How long has Gazelle been building E-Bikes?🤔
Are any of the Gazelle bikes high step or mid step through?

Is that the RMS Titanic in background? Anyway great video. Really nice commuter bike.
Kirk Dillon that’s the Queen Mary. It used to be a cruise ship, but now it’s land locked and converted into an event space and hotel
