🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Remnant 2 is a third-person shooter action role-playing video game developed by Gunfire Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. It is the sequel to the best-selling game Remnant: From the Ashes and is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S in July 2023. The game is inspired by Soulslike video games and players can wield up to two guns, alongside their melee weapon. Players can select their character archetypes at the beginning of the game, and the Gunslinger class replaces the Ex-cultist class from the first game, focusing on the use of firearms. The Remnant 2 Wiki provides information on combat basics, downloadable content, weapon and armor lists, traits & skills, a game completion walkthrough, builds for all playstyles, how to beat all bosses, and more. The game can be played solo or co-op with two other friends to explore the depths of the unknown to stop an evil from destroying reality itself.

"CLEMENTINE!" 😂 Had my buddy and I rolling, hahahaha. Someone recorded that, and then someone at the studio said, "Perfect."
I've been laughing at that for the past 15 minutes
It's so funnily bad this game was awesome but the story was trash lmao
Sounds like a noob.
SAME this has become an inside joke for my friends now
Exact same thing happened to me
Thanks for posting this. Some IDIOT joined my game (I didn't know I had public on) and skipped passed all of the cut scenes. Thank you
I woulda insta restarted my game if someone skipped a cutscene like that. No courtesy = no loot
That transition when the boss pulls his head open is 🔥! Hell yeah
i think the boss is a girl since someone on the remnant 2 discord found there was a alternative name for it called the root broodqueen
Yea, for me that was the most amazing and disturbing thing I'd seen in a while.
To people struggling - Turn the music completely off. Listen to the knife swipe noises and you'll slowly start to learn when to roll with practice.
This!
@thatsadogshittheory8485this is literally getting better all your doing is turning off the music
It took me like 4 tries before I realized
Turn off the music and I'm coming after you.
The music is cool tho
One of the wildest final boss fights in a long time!
Then you haven seen final fantasy 16s last boss
@@christophejordan2855he ff xvi last boss is ridiculous ….
@@christophejordan2855 ff last boss was cinematic but I didn’t even have to heal the entire fight. this last boss I never could get the timing of his glitch attacks and if it wasn’t on the easiest setting I wouldn’t have beaten him without help. Both great games though.
@@christophejordan2855That final qt event felt so good.
@@quellem7 The attack timings in the glitch phase are actually the exact same as in the normal phase. There's a sound and the dodge timing after the sound is the same.
Nice play there!
That second form is crazy, I love the fact it delays its attack by "glitching out".
I noticed something else I found really cool in the second form, if you just run straight towards it, you fall through the floor and can no longer be hit by it's attacks, but you can still shoot him from below. Thought that was how you were meant to defeat him, because there is like a small maze below, but now I feel like I cheesed it lol
That challenger perk came up huge in the end. Great boss fight. He took me close to 2 hours. Insane.
Took me 5 hours lol
Took me two days
Bruh, it took me 30 minutes, what are y’all doing
@@THESCOTT6_oP Rofl did it the 3rd try. I had summons + bulwark + bleed heal. I didn't even learn what the weird red room is or how to survive properly. I just healed through the damage lol.
ya... honestly... took me 3-4 hours i gave up... to level up more. = Med Archtype HELPS alot in fight + Dog. = Self res/Shields/Healing. IT GETS VERY annoying... during second phase... when the boss just sometimes keeps switching like 3-5 times in a row... gets very confusing. Also no boss comes close to this one in difficutly.... its like you can face anything else in game.... it feels like going from 45 miles per hour the whole game.... to over 120 miles.... when it comes to this boss
man that root queen was a pain to deal with but dang was the boss fight worth it
and the ending gives off edge of tomorrow vibes, where we keep fighting until the root is destroyed, or we keep our timeline and the root persists but its not as strong as before
Felt more like she pushed back the ever spreading roots of the current worlds by cleaning them up, cuz they were basically the last few bits of the worlds left or slowly getting infected and they were all key areas, and because of it you see the Labyrinth being very broken down almost destroyed state due to being destabilised and if the Root got in, end of everything
But cuz she cleaned them up, you see the restored Labyrinth at the end, you see that they purposely showed you a supposed version of how Labyrinth shouldve looked when not broken into pieces since the key areas are cleaned up
So I would say likely it's a very temporary solution to save everyone.
The real root cause is still out there and not decimated and without the Guardians that in previous games to protect, everything still in danger.
Something still linked to the Roots keeping them coming
And I saw ppl comment, this dragon we fought, is not even the main source of the root, meaning this is probably just the elites of the hierarchy of the Roots or heck even simply just equivalent of a general .
If you were to compare Roots as an invading army, Annihilation is just a general leading his army in to take world after world, so we ain't even reach the real King or Queen of the Roots
@@Vonmoonlight I think the source of the Root is Root Earth itself and Humanity, it's heavily implied the Humans from Root Earth created the Root to achieve immortality and well... that worked but not how they wanted since now everyone gets to live as an evil tree. I also believe Root Earth is the only "REAL" place in the series and the rest are all simulations which is why Root Earth has the glitching effect because our character is not organic.
Thanks for this, I lost connection right at the final part.
The phase between attacks are so dirty! Im so glad they made the final boss difficult and so cool.
Just beat it a few minutes ago. Going with my fun Summoner-Handler build was a no-go because the dog can't reach this boss and the only minions that can hit this thing are the flying ones, and their attacks aren't hitscan so an agile boss like this one can just move quickly to dodge projectiles or fly way out of range of my minions.
Swapping back to my initial Medic-Engineer build netted me this fight. With 9 Relic charges that I've found and the medic ground AoE heal, the fight becomes way more forgiving because of Medic's sustain and relic recharge perk - plenty of second chances and sustain if you're messing up the dodges. Meanwhile, the Vulcan Cannon turret from Engineer does a lot of the DPS uptime, which is useful since especially during Phase Two, there's just a ton of dodging to do. And when you're dodging, you aren't doing as much damage as you'd like. So while you dodge and try to stay alive, the turret will take over DPS.
I finished this today, i didnt realized i had my session in public until 2 more players came when i got back to the boss saving part (i didnt planned it), otherwise i can see how difficult could have been with just me alone
That moment when annihilation rips his body in half and exposes the inner humanoid/ devil of corruption. When teality starts switching between real and simulation or vice versa And you realize this isn't just a normal boss fight.... I am insanely impressed with this final boss and I think this game is underrated
U know, i couldnt appreciate the second phase while fighting, cuze I was way too busy dodging and cursing, but the transitions between first and second phase are reaaally bloody great
my game crashed mid-cinematic on the last cinematic so came to see this, i hope i dodn't lose anything, also the main quest still there
I’m a little buggy now too. I can’t buy the post game armor from Whispers…. Makes me sad.
Same for me, sound was bugged during the ending. Then got booted to the main menu mid cinematic.
Same happened for me 9 months later and my save file won’t load 😭
nice bro nice vedio ❤
Jesssusss mad boss fight, did him on veteran difficulty on the first run and took me a few days to beat his ass, but I fucking did it.
The boss fight was insanity itself !! crazy fight dodge dynamics , loved the game 9.5/10
4/10 for me so far it’s horrible
Way to hard they shouldn’t have made it that hard
I wish they telegraph the 2nd phase much better. There was so much happening I keep getting distracted because of fakeouts.
@@lTheRealKJldude the game itself is a soulslike. it’s meant to be extremely challenging. If the game isn’t meant for you then it isn’t don’t say the game is bad because it’s too hard when that’s literally what it’s meant to be.
@@lTheRealKJllegit skill issue
I was kind of expecting Clawbone to be the final boss sense it orchestrated whole Root invading Earth event
I was under the impression that this was Clawbone. I don't see why it wouldn't be. He was referred to as the Dragon in Chronos which is why I figured it looked the way that it did. I find it strange that he had no dialogue when you'd think such a character would have something to say when war is brought to his front door. Regardless, this boss battle was insane and had me fully engaged.
@@countlazuli8753 Clawbone has been dead since Chronos, hes the final Boss there, the Dragon. Clawbone was the original spearhead of Earths invasion by the Root, but not really integral afterwards.
respect after the first phase i die all the time sad
10:56 I fucking cannot stop laughing at this😂😂
Sounds so pathetic lol
Reading comments im glad it only took me around 6 tries on this boss. The Turret from the engineer is ridiculous in this fight. Nonstop headshots 24/7 murdered this kid
For me I just clutched the impact canon. The dodge/sidesteps were surprisingly perfect for me and the actual cannon chunked him.
@@knightmare4134Same dude. Impact cannon was amazing in the damage department. The simple side-steps were also great because it didn't move you far
same here dawg
Monarch plus the turret shredded it.
I am grateful my game didn't crash during phase 3 :)
pretty annoying that skipping the credits skips that last scene.
wtf last scene gets skipped if u skip end credits. kinda stupid
Medic/Alchemist made this dude a piece of cake... after dying several times 😅
Gunslinger and Summoner make this guy a piece of Cake. Sure I died alot and my summons did almost nothing and I had to rely on my Gunslinger abilities almost exclusively. But a piece of Cake..... I'm starting think I made it harder then I needed too.
"Look ma! No secondary archetype!"
i ended up watching the bosses hands to look for when he moves to attack. the fight with the boss itself (not all the projectiles and aoe's thata the boss summons but arent due to his movements) reminded me alot of dark souls or elden ring. ended up just dodging like a fucking madman in phase two and ended the fight with 0 charges left lol
it still surprised me that for how absurdly difficult i found remnant 1 to be (the fina boss was a pushover though, especially in the nightmare phase) that i was able to beat the whole game without changing from the long gun handler is given at the start, or the unliving heart despite neither ever feeling all that powerful
here becuase my random teammate skipped all the cutscenes
Cool boss design but man this is a pain on nightmare
I'm wondering if they could have made it even more awesome by having Clementine summon an army of the three worlds you visited to help you cheese Phase 3.
Those attacks look epic
Mine glitch out and kicked my out on the final cut scene, and not my world is glitch, counts as final boss not beat but i still have the stuff
Engineer / Challenger - beat the boss on 2nd attempt on Veteran difficulty. He was kinda easy to be honest. But the fight was spectacular! :)
The ending was cryptic as hell but i fking loved it
Have to watch the ending since the game soft locked me at the second phase of the boss. (Beat the first phase and no cutscene played. Now the boss is literally no longer on the map)
Same thing happened to me. dont know whether to wait for a fix or re roll the whole thing

i literally have to re-roll my world because the second phase instantly died and the boss won't respawn.
SAME!!
What happened to the loot you get from the final boss? Mine disappeared after the ending scene.
Thanks to you I dont have to go through this myself. After 50 attempts I just uninstalled the game. It was fun until Annihilation...
I almost quit. I went to adventure mode and trained like victory road in Pokémon yellow until I had both archetypes level 10 and my primary weapon at level 20. I melted him alone in veteran mode doing 350 to the face with the light machine gun. I wasn’t good enough to dodge to the chimes ngl.
Yeah, the ending is so vague. So what is this? Te holographic universe? What did she do, restart the universe but kept everything the same aside for the root? How did she do that? Why did the big guardian guy did not know how to do that? Why do we have 2 Earths?! I would've liked some explanations...

@11:07 Keeper is sucked into the Index and he is the first and he is also the last
@13:27 Yet when MC is sucked in, Keeper is outside by the rock?
Or was i mistaken, he wasn't really sucked in then, he is the first and the last cuz he exist outside of all of it
As for what Clementine did, she seemed to i dont believe saved everything but at the very least stabilise the Labyrinth cuz Labyrinth was destroyed beyond repair yet the restored Labyrinth was an actual proper wide building dungeon look
So maybe DLC we will explore back to the restored Labyrinth
Visual bug. The keeper is not behind them.
Weird ending, but this boss is genuinely one of the best in the series. It perfectly culminates everything you should know up to that point in the near-perfect experience. Sound effects are on point, hitboxes are much better than some of the others such as Nightweaver (whose hands are actually invisible trucks). The fight isn't too long or too short and you're given specific, but telegraphed healing windows in each phase. I don't think there was a single time that I died and it didn't appear to be my fault. Thematically, this boss rivals the Elder Dragons of Guild Wars 2 for its aesthetics and visuals, and especially since I didn't really care much for Haarsgard or the Dreamer, this one will undoubtedly be the Remnant finale that sticks in my memory.
The only thing I disliked about this fight was that the telegraph for the missiles in Glitch phase seemed insufficiently telegraphed (though they do significantly less damage than the other attacks so it doesn't matter as much). I didn't even realize they could fire from right to left until watching this video after beating it, and overall it just didn't seem like there was a good way to know when they were going to explode unless you saw the one in front of it explode first and timed the next explosion.
Weird ? No , it's a perfect solution for this problem : how do you kill a virus that infect your whole PC without erase all of your data ? You make a back up of those data and reinstall the OS and then restore them ! Clementine did this , the index is a failsafe of all worlds , meaning it function like a back up USB , so she use the Index to store all of the remain uncorrupted world and it people in it and then delete everything , including the Root , after that , when the Labyrinth is free from the corruption , a blank state , she then restore all of the data that had been save , thus recreate the world , safe from the Root . Love this ending
@@lesangpro It wasn't really weird in that way. The first part was just the sheer scale of what occurred at the end without much build-up in the story. The second thing is that the ending, narratively speaking, kinda stole the accomplishment of defeating what might be one of, if not the hardest boss in the game from your character. It was also just really weird how Annihilation is HEAVILY implied to be Clawbone but Clawbone is given 0 mention in Remnant 2 whatsoever and his voice is unheard.
Can you adventure mode this area?
so. the final scene is the wake up? cuz i tinking i lost something for the diconection message.
I’m struggling mainly with Fran rate drops. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yeah me to
Yep this boss was unplayable for me on 2nd phase
The hardest boss damn took forever to learn him and the sound it makes before it attacks
I wonder where did Ford went in the course of the game?
I just skip the credits and then i come here so see the ending, i feel empty
my melee build rocked this but i had to use the lightning sword to do ranged damage because at no time did the boss ever come into melee range :/
i fee u bro 😢
Had to watch it here bc some hacker just cheezed the fight and force skipped everything right after the third phase ended. Got kicked to home screen.
Guys turn off music foucs on sword voice to dodge no need to rush and anger you can do it
Boss fight took me 20 min, it was hard
Do you just reroll after the credits or is there any end game content?
Going through first run is like completing less then 20% of the game
You just reroll in adventure mode and collect all the hidden gear and secrets from each world, and play a harder difficulty or do hard-core mode if you want a challenge.
After credits roll it's pretty much reroll until you find every single boss, since you can't encounter all, then flip it on different difficulties. Pretty much Remnant right there
@@diddy646 is there extra story?
@@techmar2592
Extra mini-stories with the self contained narratives of the individual worlds. But more overarching plots are added with DLC which has been confirmed by the devs.
Gonna try and avoid just saying "meh skill issue" for the people complaining about this boss since that doesn't help anybody. I can totally understand the criticism about the lack of visual clarity during this fight, it's beyond over-stimulating visually. I had an easy time with the other bosses but struggled with the amount of red on screen during the second phase and differentiating between what was floor/tendril/sword etc. So, if you were like me, take advantage of the free class swapping mechanic and use a face-tanking build to cheese the boss.
I was able to just stand still and shoot for the most part on Veteran on my first playthrough (so not an optimized build or fully upgraded weapons/relics/mutators) using the starting loudout gear with Medic/Challenger. Just pop your heals/shields off CD, have some sort of passive lifesteal for when you stuff's on CD, get some damage reduction rings, and neutral dodge the slam aoe's if you can. Would be even easier if you can swap out Challenger with Engineer (more damage from turret going off but still have armor) or Alchemist (abuse the fuck out of concoctions and stoneskin so you don't get staggered from hits and can just keep shooting).
If you dont feel like customizing your loadout for the boss (you should probably do this though if you have a melee build), start memorizing attack patterns. Turning off the music helps so you can just hear the audio cues for the attacks. You can neutral dodge all the ground slams. Get used to dying over and over again on the boss and treat each run like a learning moment. If you start getting too frustrated, take a break, then come back when you're feeling fresh.
Totally understand if some of y'all feel like this boss is bs, we all have our biases to what we find easy or hard or unfair when it comes to boss fights, just remember the game gives us ways to mitigate or trivialize what we find difficult, just have to spend the time making use of the rpg mechanics.
thank you very much , i skiped and got confused

@@Thevikingninja117 Remnant 1 didn't have an amazing story either. They're good RPGs first, the lore is just there as an excuse for the world being how it is.
If the story isnt good, what then would constitute a good story for u? Is it where everything goes as u predict? Or is what u dont expect? Is it a deeper meaning with a vage yet mysterious ending? Or is instant gratification of knowing how something ends? Another question is are these things really bad or good?

Most ridiculously unfair boss fight ever. Completely out of touch with rest of the game difficulty. Especially the second phase, which is very hard to follow visually. And some builds are completely useless against it.
Elden Ring is a doozy in comparison.
Gameplay is good but the story is so boring and unexciting. Souls like games generally have confusing story but this one is quite confusing and bland at the same time.
Opening dialogue is cringe af
Sorry, This looks like a cool fight, but this boss asks too much from a player especially solo. You can't just use any build you want since this fight needs you to focus on range. I'm using a bow and it's too slow and weak to be used against him, yet I don't really feel like farming to change my build. Who thought it would be a good idea to give a already difficult boss multiple health bars?
Did i miss a terminal or something, throughout the entire of root earth i was extremely intruiged to find out the origin of the root and tbh i ended the game with more questions than i initially had
The first game does a better job explaining the Root and their origins. At least how they invaded Earth and what the Root are. Subject 2923 DLC in particular expands the lore and attempts to tackle these questions. Though the answers are still esoteric due to unreliable narrators/flawed character motivations.
Ward Prime in particular and the basement levels of Ward 13 are the most we get regarding Root lore. Along with Root Mother NPC and Ford's notes.
@@theunforgivenmoon oh well, theyll likely end up expanding on them in dlc hopefully
@@SnakeEater776 the root origin is in a prequel game to remnant of the ashes called cronus before the ashes
@@zaelynrichardson4598 thats how they invade earth tho right? Not how they came to exist.
Isn't that the whole point of cosmic horror though? No matter how hard the people you're following try, the beings from beyond the scope of our insignificant little lives are still inconceivable and unknown to us even when we see their true forms. Their foreign logic--and very purpose--is so alien to us that we, as puny little insects, could never even imagine their existence, history, or perspective.
It's honestly a fantastic example of how that kind of story operates. For every answer the humans get, there's five more questions that are unknown to even those who were there to witness what happened. It's by design that we walk away as confused as we do; that's how the player feels upon waking up alive, after all.
Excited about Mortal Kombat 1 in August
What does that have to do with anything this related?
Don't care, play GGST if you want good fighting game.
I have heard nothing but praise for this game and I know this has a huge fan base. I am currently playing it and I do not see anything that is so different or groundbreaking. The dungeon crawler mechanic is now too old. The game forces you to roam around to find your next objective. I agree the game is designed that way, but games these days have become much more than just games. The game is really difficult in even the easiest difficulty. Boss fights are really outrageous (it takes so so long and one shot you are dead*i call bull shit*), checkpoint system sucks so bad that, once you are halfway into an area killing a million enemies (who by the way can sneak up on you from behind and one shot you are dead) and you die only to come back from all the way. It has its own niche, but It is not without its drawbacks.
After I eventually got through the first half of this battle and realized there would be another 20 minutes of rolling around dodging impossible attacks (with eye strain) I decided I couldn't be arsed 'gitting any gudder' and just watched the ending here. Good game overall though.
Probably the best final boss i ever fought holy fuck dude
Design is cool but the battle is incredibly terrible. Swapping between Tron and normal phases constantly and turning you around makes for a great test for monotony and hair pulling frustration.
This fucking laser show is giving me an aneurism
It puts you back in the position you last left off. If you hate that, too bad. Don't call it a terrible battle, call it a problem very few people have like yourself.

The final boss is horrible for people like me who are color blind.
(Edit)
As someone who is currently stuck on this boss, to the developers I say- "Suck my root for designing such a bs boss"
Edit: Okay, so i beat the boss...apparently the more people you have with you, the more powerful the boss becomes. Then again I was mainly kicking myself because I spent all my shards on buying new stuff rather than upgrading my relic.

Learn the moves and get good. Boss is quite unique once you actually see through all the bull shit and be patient..how do I know? Cuz I was literally where you’re at about 5 hours ago until I chilled tf out and stayed calm and focused. Look at most rage videos. Who is at fault 99% of the time? The player. The name of the game is literally get good. It’s not even a troll thing like just be patient and learn the boss. If you can’t that’s a you problem. It’s timing, counting if you have to helps. “Ok he slams, now he’s gonna do a delayed atk, then an aoe, then a sweep.” It sucks but this is one those ones you absolutely have to learn the fight. Yeah it was bullshit…until I learned the fight and realized my attitude was bullshit.
@Ninja4life117 it's not just the delayed attacks, the hit box on that sword is ridiculous. I'll be 5 feet away from it, and it still registers that I'm still under the initial blade slam.
