I was with a beautiful lady (Filipino, but was a Medical Doctor over here in America) for 25 years. We never married and never had children (our choice). Everyday when she would come home from her clinic or ER - she always said "Andrew, Let's enjoy every moment of life".
God took her way too soon from this planet; but we did have 25 amazing years together. What I am trying to say - your life and recent 12 months has given me hope again and always make me smile.

lol, wait until she hits age 11. Of course a little kid is going to say daddy, it is imprinting behavior in animals. But its going to be a task for any step father to keep their step daughters from turning into basket cases because there is nothing a daughter wants more than her real daddy.

Yes it a great life living in Roxas City. When I am there I feel like I am living the dream. A lot of my friends in the US are either like me retired and lost there wife or are still a couple. All are very envious that I moved to the Philippines. See you soon Michael.

All you need now is some MEXICAN PETUNIAS to border your walkway and fence line. It grows so fast and blooms every morning with beautiful Lilac/purple flowers. Every few week cut them back and add the cutting to your pathway and fence. In a few months your background will look like a botanical garden. Your cost is $0

Michael, you can switch the hinges on the gates to the opposite side so they open outwards not inwards... then you can extend the path right to the gate line. seems a shame to have that unexpected gap at end..

OMG, I miss Capiz so much! Our ancestral home is in Pontevedra, just an hour or so out of Roxas. We used to go to Roxas to wander around, especially since it was closer than Iloilo. Lol. But when I watch your vids, I'm amazed at how different it all looks. Enjoy your beachfront lofe, Michael! It looks wonderful. I hope to go home and visit someday soon. 🙌

I’ve taken on a family as well. I have my partner and her daughter who is 17. Also her mama stays with us. We’re a very happy family living a simple life here in Bohol. I’m very happy how it’s turned out.

Thanks for another video. Best to you. Hope things will last forever. Your happiness is contagious. A lot of North Americans start a life in the Philippines and starts out well. But when the Honeymoon is over, things fall apart. Hope that doesn't happen to you. I've been fortunate, first marriage didn't work out after 8 years, but now married again for over 25 years and very happy and balance. Both Filipina wives. We visit Philippines once in a while but too many places in this world to explore.

I too have a 4 years old pinay girl that called me daddy,however her mother is opposing for loving me as a hudband,and i fully understand because im too old for her,she is 35 im 83,although still strong,as im doing gymnastics and small weight lifting,😢but she look at me like a daddy,maybe more like sugar daddy,many days,it hurts me somuch,specialy if im observing that litle girl,that i could not be a substitute father,that i long for it,what ever it will lead to,i leave it to the time of nature.
I, too, am 83. I feel and think I may have similar feelings and thoughts you have.
1. Simply accept what is. Wishing or hoping for other than what is will only frustrate you. Just be the best you can be, and let what does happen result as the outcome. Sometimes things happen that we would not have planned for them to unfold the way they did.
2. Life is a journey for each of us. My journey differs from yours. Your journey differs from your 4 year old Pinay girl who has appeared on the pathway of your journey.
3. The 35 year old mom has also appeared on the pathway of your journey. Her pathway may not be your pathway, although your pathways may or may not follow the same pathways, directions, or experiences at some moments.
4. Be grateful for any heart-warming moments, no matter how small they may seem. In our lives in this existence, we get what we get, not what we want. You can try to offer much, but accept what either that 4 year old girl or that 35 year old mom allows or accepts.
5. None of us should expect others to behave or accept more than they are going to accept. People will do what they will do. We can only offer our best. What others accept is up to them.
6. Finally, your life has been enriched by experiencing both that 4 year old girl, as well as that 35 year old mom. It may not be what you want or what you had planned, but it is the outcome of what is.
Conclusion, What it is, is what it is.
Gonn'a visit your place next year on my vacation, i really missed Roxas City so much
