Demons blade is actually pretty accurate with kimetsu almost meaning demon or some sort of demonic creature, and yaiba literally meaning blade/sword

i don’t know why everyone thinks that all languages are based off of English. (Pretty much what everyone who speaks English thinks) like, an anime is originally in Japanese, so kimetsu no yaiba translated to English is not gonna be “demon slayer” EXACTLY. We understand languages by the words meaning, like bye. We know it means “oh, they’re leaving,” So same with japanese.
鬼滅の刃 means more like ‘the blade that kills/destroys demons’
