Beautiful rendition. Billy is a master at arranging and changing the same song into something completely different yet still recognizable all the same.
I was there! I was in town for Riotfest that weekend and it was my friend's birthday that day, so we made our way up to ZuZu's. He also played (before the webcast) Soothe, Wound, and teased my request With Every Light (fun fact, Billy said that's his usual dressing room "warm-up song")...what an absolute treat, after years of seeing him on the big stage, seeing him in such an intimate setting, and having the chance to ask him some questions and just chat. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful rendition of Snail! Billy just learned how to play the piano when Mellon collie was being made! Amazing how he picked up the instrument and own it!
BILLY ES UN GENIO, TODO LO HACE BIEN, SI HAY UN DIOS DE LA MÚSICA EN ESTA VIDA ES ÉL=BILLY IS A GENIUS, HE DOES EVERYTHING WELL, IF THERE IS A GOD OF MUSIC IN THIS LIFE IT IS HIM.
@@salemkid1979 I doubt he needs the lyrics. He knows these songs better than most artists given how often he tours, how simple daydream is, and how many thousands and thousands of times he has done snail live. I dont know if you play an instrument but something just happens to a lot pf people when they try to play and sing at the same time. Since the lyrics follow the beat of the instrument but a totally different rhythm and some people got it som people end up starting to sing the piano or guitar part and strum or play the vocals and then you get all tripped up. Reading the lyrics off a sheet of paper alleviates so much of the confusion between mouth and hands and since he is usually on guitar while singing,i bet that's why he has the lyrics.
You listen to these songs a lot. Song writers don't really listen to their own songs outside of the writing/recording process. It's very easy to forget the lyrics to your own songs, especially if you are as prolific as William.
keep in mind he's written over 300 songs. and this isn't an extremely popular one. for sure he would need something to guide him to remember it. also, keep in mind singing and playing piano or any instrument for that matter, and playing well, takes enormous amounts of practice and patience.
Absolutely beautiful - Billy Corgan is one of the most talented artists in history - period
I THINK THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Pumpkins fans need to see this!
