Thanks, Bob, for the compliments on the Auto-RSK. I sincerely appreciate it! One minor correction, 45 states now allow possession of automatic (switchblade) knives (some with restrictions), 36 with No or Limited Restrictions on Possession or Everyday (Open) Carry and 29 allow Concealed Carry.
Thank you for continuing to fight for our rights! You're an awesome dude and I love your knives. Have you ever thought about making them in other blade shapes?
It’s a very nice blade. And DR has been a major force in defending and expanding our rights. He attends a lot of knife shows pressing flesh and spreading the word. We owe him a lot.
I think the whole concept behind the original Ritter Grip was the *high-humped spine* so you could baton something with confidence. In the case of the auto, I would unlock it and baton at the half-open position to protect the lock.
Totally agree! Years back I only collected auto and OTF style knives and kind of got bored with them. What actually got me back into autos was both the Benchmade Osborne 9400, "One of the best designs that can take insane abuse for it's size" and both of the pro-tech godfather & godson.... I honestly wasn't aware of the Doug Ritter Hogues until I received a birthday present from my boss. We both often talk about knives and guns. Anyway, he gifted me the purple Ritter hogue mini in 20cv and that knife IMMEDIATELY became my favorite small size knife. I decided to go with the jade rsk auto and my goodness is that an amazing knife. The blade snaps out with such authority and has the best blade lockup I've seen from an auto.... Since getting those two Ritter Hogues I've been on a quest to get all styles of the Ritter Hogues. I wish knifeworks would come out with more colors and styles.
I recently ordered the Jade auto rsk, should arrive Monday or Tuesday. It will be my 4th Doug Ritter Hogue. Currently have the green full size in magnacut and 2 20cv minis, 1 purple & 1 blue. The Doug Ritter Hogues are very special knives.... I've never come across a knife that breaks in so perfectly like the Ritter Hogues. Before I knew about the Ritter Hogues I purchased both the freek and freek mini. Great knives but for almost half the cost you can get a better design while still having your choice of high end magnacut / 20cv steel. The hogue axis style lock feels better and more consistent than Benchmade. It's even better than kizers axis style lock which is really saying something. Great showcase and review knife friend!
I have the manual and I really enjoy it. I agree about the pocket clip screws and also don’t like the branding on it. His name is on the blade so I don’t like the extra branding. Not a big deal though

Thank you Doug for all your work
Absolutely love mine, thanks for all the work you've done for the industry and, more importantly, in defense of our rights.
Great knife, I bought one after watching Doug on your show. So cool that autos are know legal in PA. Thanks Knife Rights!

I've been wanting a non-aluminum auto for some time. Almost sold on the goofy Spyderco Autonomy 2. But now I want this one...
This one has to be on the short list. Thanks for the share, Bob, and hope you/yours have a Happy Thanksgiving.
The first auto thats appealed to me in 15 years. Wish they made a way to drop shut them still though...
Well, that cobratec hidden release trapper is cool too though. You slide the bolster to open it.

I wish they would come with true deep pocket clips.
good stuff!

Why is there still a disclaimer warning you it’s illegal on knife works website?
Thanks for posting and Happy Thanksgiving! 👍 But to me these knives are on the ugly side of the spectrum. 🫣
