Interesting video. If Gnar ever receives buffs that put him into a meta spot then this would be a good bit of knowledge to have, but as it stands, this doesn't seem that useful. I think the biggest issue with this is the fact that it the tech heavily relies on enemy positioning, namely stacking, which is less likely to be the play later in the game unless they are playing disco. Additionally the one of your stated counter position for Gnar is the Illaoi tentacle tech which is rising in popularity. I think the best use for this tech would be something like a decoy unit with the talent search augment. Knowing that Gnar can bait aggro from not only from the "safe" side but also from his target destination hex could be useful especially against melee or single target carries. It would be pretty good alongside a melee range 5 cost carry in that case.
I may be crazy for saying this but i dont think gnar needs any buffs, right now he's very strong imo. i think there are overtuned comps that need to be dialled back but, from experience, gnar can still do well against those comps but i would accept a buff to gnar where they change his superfan item to runaans because building runaans is awful in set 10 but you're absolutely right about this tech being reliant on enemy positioning, i forgot to mention that
This is going to be completely separate from the subject matter in the video but I kinda wanted to bring light to the augment consistency and how it functions with the current "open-fort" meta and playing for early spats on carousel. K/DA and True Damage are the only spats worth value since both benefit from having 3 superfan. Consistency allows you to not be overly punished during the loss streak by ensuring you are able to hit the higher thresholds of interest in a shorter timespan. The strategy I would say is to play 2 sentinel units throughout stage 2 or full sell your board to ensure you hit streak thresholds. As you start pushing into stage 3 with a sizeable level and eco, you can just slowly sprinkle in the other superfan units like Kennen and Neeko. The idea focuses entirely on playing only superfan units and maybe the occasional Garen or Mordekaiser. Lillia is one of the best units to rely on as she has both the early sentinel and superfan traits while also having the best gold efficiency out of any unit. By wolves you are practically going to be level 8 since all you really focus on is grabbing the occasional superfan or putting eco into leveling. when you hit level 8 on stage 4-1/4-2, you should have at minimum 50 gold so you can roll down for either Akali variant or K/DA Ahri. If you made K/DA spat, then during your roll down you prioritize Seraphine/Ekko for secondary units seeing as you hit 7 K/DA with Spat, K/DA Akali/Ahri, Non-chosen, Seraphine, Neeko and Lillia. Vice Versa, if you play for TD Spat, then you aim for TD Akali and play around 6 TD with Spat, Akali, Senna, Ekko, Kennen. You can eventually swap senna out for Qiyana to print extra items for your Kennen/Qiyana protection. By raptors, you should have econ'd back up to 40/50 gold and until the next carousel, consistency should be giving you the max value of interest. Level up to 9 and add in traits you might need or units like vex for executioner and some beneficial CC. VERY IMPORTANT, DO NOT MAKE THE SPAT UNTIL AFTER SCOUTING AS TRUE DAMAGE SPAT RELIES ENTIRELY ON FINDING EKKO 2 AND AKALI CHOSEN. YOU WILL HAVE LITTLE TO NO HP AT THIS POINT AND IF YOU GREED YOU FAST 8th IT. All in all, takes little to no skill if you get offered consistency but it does work with other econ augments like Rich get richer since you get access to the better interest values earlier while sacrificing less HP for the streak. P.S. K/DA Gragas is funny
Open forting is meta because kda gragas is too strong but on a more serious note, open forting is super degenerate and unhealthy for the game and it needs to get removed ASAP

@@SuperGoody If I can freely open-fort until stage 4 then yeah it is clearly a problem.
I doubt it will be meta but it is always useful to know when to do it and how to maximize it when you are running gnar carry. Thanks!
No problem, i'm still hoping for a gnar meta 🤞
been waiting for ur another stream, keep up the good vid man!
sorry for making you wait! I'm literally about to go live in a few minutes
Damn, the guy at 7:36 got it like that
