Lashonda Martin Williams Thank you!I'm also on Instagram dawnpinktree ,I post pictures and I now do mini videos on projects and home decorating.I also have a public Facebook page,The Pink Tree where I post pictures and what videos are coming next !
I love all those colors, too, and have been feeling like I'm starved for color recently with all these muted boho and farmhouse styles. I like neutrals, too, but brighter pastels really make me feel cheerful! I haven't done a ton with polymer clay this decade, so thanks for sharing what colors you start with. :)
I just discovered your channel recently and you have inspired me to start a whole new hobby! I love watching your videos. I’ve learned so much in just 3 days! Now I just need my hubby to build me a craft shed like yours!!! Thanks for making the best tutorials! I subscribed and totally support your channel! Thank you!!!
I’ve been trying to figure out what to use for sprinkles or how to make sprinkles. So thank you so much for this tutorial. I really appreciate it so much. So thank you.
I love your channel. Thank you so much for these videos. Making a sweet themed Christmas tree for this year and I would really rather make them than buy them lol
Found you today looking for fake cupcakes. Everything you make is totally gorgeous! I'm now a new subscriber and can't wait to watch more. Loved the cupcake, petit a fours, Easter bunny and sprinkles videos. Gonna have to do some binge watching as I can't seem to stop!
Yellow ochre is pronounced “oak-er” I love your videos so much! And I know you were struggling with that one so thought I’d help you out 😊 You’re amazing!! Thank you for sharing how you make these gorgeous items 🤍
OMG girl....can you say "talented"...and you're just so super sweet yourself! I've just subscribed; so glad I did. I'm starting with your very first video and am going through every one of them. I'm 3 years late but...congratulations on your Romantic Cottages Magazine gig!!! (I think that was the name of it)lol. Do you sell your work?
New subscriber here 😊Thank you for this. I started making faux whipped toppers and just bought a bunch of sprinkles off of etsy and it was expensive 😰.
Hi Dawn- One quick question...Do you bake your sprinkles in your home oven or do you bake them in a toaster oven dedicated to baking clay only? I know this is probably a silly question, but I’ve heard the fumes from the baked clay are bad for your home oven in that the fumes linger. Keep up all your fabulous tutorials and thank you for sharing. Oh, and by the way, you haven’t drawn my name as a lucky Winner of one of your GORGEOUS PUTZ HOUSES? Just wondering! Ha, Ha.
Sherry Monscour Hi! Yes I do bake it in the oven as it is made to do so but as anything in life probably not the best for us to breath in.You can open windows if you want :)But that’s the way we’re suppose to use it !
Hi Rebecca, I'm just new to your channel, I find every faux cup cakes and all of what you were doing very interesting and beautiful, I've just viewed your how to make sprinkles, you used that kind of clay that you should bake before making those sprinkles, can I just use the air dry clay instead of the one you're showing? will it make any diffence if I use the air dry? I'll be waiting for your reply. Thank you very much.
Also, I know this is an old video and youre in Canada...but the containers you have your sprinkles in....I LOVE thos and have a handful I picked up at the thrift shop when someone dropped a bunch off still in the package...back then I didnt do much fake bake anymore bc it wasnt selling much (I made more Primitive decor), but NOW it seems to sell as soon as I put it down at my booth! And of course all the containers slowly sold at that thrift shop (I actually volunteer there every week for the last 11 yrs, lol!)....so Im dying to find more! Ill have to check amazon to see if its maybe something they carry. They are SO perfect for fake sprinkle and other fake toppings Ive bought or made =)
Roll your clay like you would just before you would put it in the extruder instead put it in the fridge for 10 minutes to harden little! This makes it easier to handle.
@@thepinktree3490 Just thought I would ask before giving it a try lol! I had heard they wouldn't but wasn't sure. I like to use what I have if I can. So I will need to buy the extruder and make my own sprinkles. Thanks 💗
@@thepinktree3490 I will need to get me the extruder. I looked at Amazon for one. Just have to talk to my husband about getting me one and see if it's our budget. Was trying to make a little on my UA-cam to help till they changed everything with getting over 1000 subscribers so that has messed my channel up.
Hi Dawn, I've been reading on how to work with polymer clay and found a few blogs that said you need to invest in a toaster oven, as over time baking clay in your kitchen oven, your oven starts to absorb the order of clay. Have you found this to be the case?
Diane Howell No I haven't noticed anything,I don't use it often for clay and when I do the clay is only in it for 7-9 minutes.I never heard of that before, maybe for people that use it everyday?
Thanks Dawn. I'm not sure if she uses it everyday, but there were two ladies who commented on this. I don't plan on baking clay everyday but wanted to check it out first. Now, I'll order my extruder.
+ThePinkTree Love it!! I like watching you it's relaxing plz keep making vids! I love the same type of colors you do haha green all the way!!! And pastels : )
maddielovelee Thank you so much ! I can’t recall what I used for the blue above the yellow but for the teal green I usually use a mixture of Emerald green by Sculpey and add white and a bright yellow colour .My lime green I use a mixture of Granny Smith with white and a bright yellow .The yellow warms up the colours ,I always use yellow in my paint mixtures !:)
Carissa Coursen It takes some time to mix clay but you can make any colour you want to it’s worth it!You just pick your colours and warm them in your hand and it will get easier as you mix it in your hands. At first you may think this will never mix together but it will!
