Great going getting those done and thanks for sharing, really useful to know. Hope you get the fuel filter sorted to finish off 😊 All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Your gonna do me out of a job lol, so much satisfaction doing a Service on your own van, the pollen filter was full of dust, no more dust flying out the vents, heres looking to the next adventures bro
Hey bro, yeah sorry about the job! But doubt anyone would want to employ me to do a service for them! I'm bad enough doing it for myself ! At least I can do it and now happy in my head doing it when Im off on some adventure somewhere! We need a weekend meet up bro! Hope you're well buddy?
Lovely tips video Rob. I see Archie was supervising you at all times 🐶 long way to pour the oil in, right pain in the ass. Keep Loving the Life Mate. Take Care 🙏
@@PackTheVanAndGo fabulous weekend mate. Top notch people. Sadly we did not film us getting Paul's van unstuck haha. All part of the fun and Family atmosphere
Hello Dip stick.. It the moto.. Look after the van..? The van will look after you.. Well.. I have worked it out..? You are the brightest spanner in the box.. See ya soon Bud..
Rob as a fellow Veteran (Engineer at that!) I need to get back to servicing my own vehicles like the old, old days. I have to say though got a front disk brake service and brake pad replacement on recent Turkiye trip. Could not pass up the 40 Quid price for the job. Still had 7000m wear on them but a bargain price had to be done.
@@eddvanlife7396 totally agree about doing your own service in the UK, but if I was in turkey myself, I’d happily pay the locals to do stuff for the price you pay over there!
Don't forget the sump plug washer! I missed mine and has a slow drip. Couldn't find a new one so had to get a whole new sump plug (with washer) from Euro Car Parts. Lesson Learnt!
@@PackTheVanAndGo yes m8 we are good thanks, I'm back at work now but going to shut it down this summer as I'm retirement age, so going to be doing loads in the van, first long trip is in October going to the Dolomites.
Just as I did it years ago, when I had everything I needed to work on vehicles. There doesn't seem to be much ground clearance for you to get underneath and drain the oil. Hope you managed it without too much struggle and I know that if I tried it, I would have got stuck. 😮
@@PackTheVanAndGo All good and quiet here thanks. Fuel filter was easy on my old transit, so I hope that they have not located yours in an awkward place.

@@startaylor123 wow, how much do they charge… the pride of a service kit from eBay is less that £100 and then the time to do it yourself… just a few hour… saves you around £400 each time… and you can do it yourself 2 times a year to help keep the van on the road longer! Crazy how much they charge these days and have no respect also… that’s why I enjoy doing my own van, I have more respect for it and know the works been actually competed 👍
Fuel filter! Yes it’s a bitch. I think I’ve got four left over, unfitted, still in the shed. Maybe it’s time to use one. Ps the brakes are dead easy to do as well. But as a very quick simple extra thing; remove and lube the handbrake pivot point halfway under the van. 13mm nut.

Thank you mate!
Great to meet you today. Home now after a very wet drive. 100% agree you should be able to service your own van. Need to give it a go 😂

You make the job look easy enough, like you i want to learn to be able to do all the servicing myself.

My garage could not find the pollen filter. So called citroen specialist. I googled it and told him. Self service next year. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely worth learning and doing your own service every 6 months… saves money and you know it’s actually been done!

Yeah I reckon that’s probs why the “vibes” handbrake stuffed up on their van. Handle goes down but lever doesn’t fully release the shoes.

One important question is do you know JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR?
Never actually met him, but I’ve heard his name mentioned many times when working on vehicles… maybe he drives a van?
